July 19, 201313 yr Since all this technology is around I thought It would be interesting to see what device your using now
July 19, 201313 yr Author I do not own a PC computer. Normally I am on my GS3 or my Sony Vaio. I have a PC computer, but now I don't use it as often because it Windows XP which is slow but I got a Kindle Fire which I'm using now
July 19, 201313 yr My household has one of each. It really depends on what is needed to be done on which we use more/prefer.
July 19, 201313 yr One of my laptops always. I've tried the mobile version, but it's just not my cup of tea.
July 19, 201313 yr With 7 votes in, not a single PC. Yep, PCs are in trouble. Even at work, we have laptops with docking stations.
July 19, 201313 yr ...and now I'm the only one who uses a PC. One running an older operating system, at that.
July 19, 201313 yr I use my iMac instead of my pc. I also have a laptop, and an iPad. I was up at my sisters house this past week and her pc keep freezing and hanging up when I was surfing the net. My iPad is much faster than the pc.
July 19, 201313 yr Author ...and now I'm the only one who uses a PC. One running an older operating system, at that. Your not the only one, I still use a PC which in the computer world my version is a prehistoric dinosaur. I have Windows XP. I never use the PC for Kings Island central. I use my Kindle Fire.
July 19, 201313 yr MacBook Pro or iPhone. I was a long time PC user but am so glad I converted. Still use a Windows 8 desktop at work... I'm so glad I converted to Mac!
July 19, 201313 yr Author MacBook Pro or iPhone. I was a long time PC user but am so glad I converted. Still use a Windows 8 desktop at work... I'm so glad I converted to Mac! Windows 8, my Asus laptop has that and let's just say Windows 8 is not my favorite.
July 19, 201313 yr I also use an Asus laptop with Windows 8. I don't see why everyone complains about Windows 8, but then I'm the guy that used Vista for five years and never understood the complaints about it either. When I'm away from home, I can now use my Motorola DROID RAZR M to pop in occasionally as well.
July 19, 201313 yr Android powered phone here, Galaxy S3 If we're getting technical. It's not top of the class anymore but it's also not awful.
July 19, 201313 yr Android powered phone here, Galaxy S3 If we're getting technical. It's not top of the class anymore but it's also not awful. Yep S3s still aren't too shabby, my phone unfortunately was obsolete the day I bought it, a LG Nitro HD. Can't wait to get a galaxy with my next upgrade.
July 19, 201313 yr I'm using a PC. But once I go away to college it will be a laptop. Speaking of which, does anyone have any recommendations on the best laptops? And nothing too expensive but something that would suit a college student's needs. I still have 2 more years of high school but it's starting to be crunch time when thinking about going away.
July 19, 201313 yr If you still have two years of high school left, than laptop recommendations for college are useless now. Computers advance so fast that the good ones today will be completely obsolete and removed from the market before you graduate. You'll be better off waiting until around halfway into your senior year before asking for recommendations.
July 19, 201313 yr And it depends on what you are going to be studying, which may change several times before then. An engineering student typically requires a far different device than a graphic artist wants or needs. Some schools specify and require, down to the brand and configuration, what you must have. Others do not.
July 19, 201313 yr I use my iPhone. I prefer my PC but it's been acting pretty crappy and I have no time to fix it.
July 19, 201313 yr Well, I used to have a personal computer computer ( ) but I bought a laptop a few years ago and haven't even used that much recently... I use my iPhone 5 for nearly everything....
July 19, 201313 yr I use my iPhone 5 and my iPad Mini all the time and love them both. But, for browsing forums and doing other internet stuff I am on my desktop.
July 19, 201313 yr Right now I am using my phone, HTC One. At home I am either on the Laptop (Toshiba) or Tablet (Asus Infinity). I do not like the mobile App at all so always view the full site. Have not had a desktop for years now.
July 19, 201313 yr Depending on where I am, I use a Linux desktop, one of two dual-boot laptops, an Android tablet, or an Android phone. The advantage of the desktop is that it's always on, so it can act as a server or run a task that takes a long time. Compiling code, rendering a video, or recording TV shows would be difficult on a mobile device. I'm usually connected to my desktop via OpenVPN when I'm using any of the other aforementioned devices. Also, when I'm tying more than a couple sentences, I prefer to have a full keyboard on a laptop or desktop. Imprecise mobile keyboards and speech-to-text systems annoy me to no end. Case in point: I recently used speech-to-text to send a message including the word "yellow". I almost lost it when it came up as "YOLO".
July 19, 201313 yr I tend to be on all 3, even my "labtop." There almost need an "all the above" option.
July 19, 201313 yr HTC EVO LTE & Motorola Xoom mainly, PS3 as well, haven't touched a regular computer at home for awhile
July 19, 201313 yr Author I tend to be on all 3, even my "labtop." There almost need an "all the above" option. I can make a all of above option.
