  • You definitely need to go to Busch Gardens Tampa. Don't let admission stop you from going. It's a very beautiful park and has a ton of killer attractions.

  • Guys, It was worth the wait.

Interesting.....Pantopia is being built at Busch Gardens when right up the road at Animal Kingdom the moon Pandora is being replicated in Avatar land.....such similar names.

I really want to ride this ride so much. For anyone that has been there. Is the price of admission worth it??

Yes it is.

Very lovely hyperlink... But....

It does seem to lead anywhere...

Aren't hyperlinks supposed to lead you anywhere? That's kind of their point. :P

They are hardly right up the road from one another. I wouldn't even consider them to be in the same market area.

I agree Tampa is about an hour to hour and a half away but they are considered in the same market. You take USF and Busch Gardens out of Tampa and there's nothing in the city. So either BG is in a market of it's own or you have to include it with Disney and Universal parks.

Maybe going here next summer while on vacation in Florida. Sort of dreading to ride this because it looks so scary.

I like (and others will probably hate :P) that the holding time between reaching the top of the tower and the drop will vary. Randomizing the delay like this is the only improvement that could be made to KI's Drop Tower IMO (short of throwing manufacturer suggestions out the window and installing rotating seats like Falcon's Fury). IMO having the exact same delay every time takes away a lot of the anticipation and kind of takes away from the fun as well.

I thought Drop Tower's time did vary. I am not saying you are wrong as I have no evidence beside what I have counted while there.

There's a "ka-chunk" sounds after it reaches the top. Six seconds after that sound is when it drops, every time.

What is the click from that we hear on Drop Tower. To me it always sounds like it's coming from above where the motors are but I'm not too certain I'm usually looking at stuff around me not up

^If I were to guess, it would be the cables locking into position. Up until the "ka-chunk" you're still moving up the tower and it isn't until the click that you actually stop moving.

If USF still offers the Orlando Magic ticket, you can get a package that includes USF, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, in a park hopper style ticket just like Disney World.

It's called the Orlando FlexTicket. One ticket gets the bearer unlimited access to USF, IOA, SeaWorld Orlando, and their associated waterparks for 14 consecutive days starting from the date the ticket is first used. Price is $320 + tax for an adult ticket or $300 + tax for a child ticket. BGT is not included in the base ticket; it requires a $40 (+ tax) upgrade to the FlexTicket Plus.

Again access to what at USF? USF is the University of South Florida.

USF is also Universal Studios Florida, which is the formal name of one of the two individual theme parks at the Universal Orlando Resort (the other being Universal's Islands of Adventure).

I get it but my original statement was talking about the university in Tampa.

And nobody else was. You misinterpreted it.

Post #74. Clearly I'm not talking about Universal Studios Florida.

Universal Studios should be abbreviated USO as it is Universal Studios Orlando.
