Fof lights

Featured Replies

I almost forgot to ask, I asked at work yesterday but know one seemed to know so I figured I would ask here. Why are the Lights in the FOF que on, during the pre show they used to go off and it would be completely dark in there but since 5/31 I have rode quite a few times and the 3 yellow "security" lights are on. Any purpose or does anyone know why they werent on before but are on now????

I rode FoF on bring a friend free day and all the lights went out when the tv went off, it only lasts for like 5 seconds but all of them went off. It was pitch black.

Maybe they are on to help park employees find any "shenanigans" going on. I was in line last year and there were some shenanigans happening behind me....they reeked of a certain kind of smoke....

If they all were on, it could be that someone just forgot to turn them off before guests came in. Last time I rode it, the lights were off.

I'm not sure if the is a reason, and what it may or maynot be, but I do know that if those lights were not on it would be nearly impossible to watch people in line and check the length of the line from the cameras in the drive box. The lights do still go out at the end of the preshow movie for a few seconds. And when that happens the hanger is impossible for us to see in. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, if there is a reason I don't know it, but that is a practical reason.

I always thought that it was annoying when I would be walking through the queue station trying to catch up with the line (like right when I walk in) and the lights would go off. Since that's such a maze of queues, it's just confusing. I think it would be more reasonable, to have the lights cut out for about 2 or so seconds, then have a loud 'click' and have what look like emergency lights come on. That way, there is less time in total darkness, and an added effect.
