Construction?
Yeah, I see what you are saying. A new budget for all theming would be nice.

Next ride removal
Klockster, I said exactly what you did. I was asking if he was still vigilant in the fight against morons.

Next ride removal
"Yep. It's official. Your an idiot." Still vigilant on the moron front? LMAO!

Next ride removal
Stewwill, exactly how long have you been in this world? If you don't think progress ever marches over people or things, then you have been living in a cave. I can agree with you that progress should not do these things, but often times that is the way that it does happen. What about housing projects where poor people live and they have no other place to go, that wind up being demolished for a new parking lot? It happens, but I'm not saying it's right. I don't disrespect any other people's feelings. I have stated in several other threads that over the years, PKI has removed many other rides that were personal favorites of mine like the Rotor, Bavarian Beetle, Der Spinnin' Keggers, and many more. But, I don't waste my time petitioning for something that is a lost cause. They are not going to change their minds. Get over it. Move on or go to PC and ride them there.

Construction?
I hate to say this again like I did in another thread, but if you are going to budget maintenance of a ride, there should be a separate budget for the theming. It's obvious with TR:TR that maintenance winds up spending all of their budget just trying to keep it running when they should have separate funds to keep all theming up and running as well. I don't see this as a problem with maintenance, but with whomever decided the budget for the maintenance of the ride. I can see IJ:ST winding up like TR and TG in about three years. I'm sure Disney has a budget for their theming, why not PKI?

Which do you think will be removed?
Why is it necessary to have a water ride on that side of the park? I don't think people will start dying of dehydration just because they remove Congo Falls.

Next ride removal
"Vortex seems to be a big one up for grabs, but i don't think they would've re-painted a few years back if they planned on getting rid of it." If I remember correctly, someone on here or PKIC said that King Kobra was painted about 2-3 years before its' removal. So, there's just no telling.

Next ride removal
"Time is suppose to march on not over things or people." Actually, often when time marches on, it marches over things. It's called progress. Getting rid of the Eagels was far from a mistake. I rode it and was bored to tears. I'm sure IJ:ST will kick its' butt.

Purchased Land?
Way to run off the newbies, @ss clowns!

Which do you think will be removed?
If I had to pick one, I would say Congo Falls. You could put anice thrill ride in there.

Next ride removal
I don't think that any of the coasters are going to removed any time soon. There's no need to. They have lots of areas to expand into. I agree that the theming is shot to hell on Top Gun. The props are all but rusted, you have the theming under the station that's never seen.

Public Apology
It's cool. I've been on both boards for nearly the same amount of time. I believe that I found this one first.

Its time for it again
Sorry, I wasn't really posting that as a question, just something I've heard many times while visiting there. I can't believe that someone could look at SOB and Vortex and tell that SOB is taller.
-
Its time for it again
Isn't The Vortex the tallest coaster in the park?

How many gallons does the Rivertown Lake hold?
PKI Diana says, " 15,000" Only you would know that one.
-
It's all over now :(
Best memory of 2004...going on a Monday with virtually no waits. So slow, in fact we left early and felt we got a full day's riding in.

Its time for it again
That is pretty funny stuff. I wonder how many times it has been asked if you get wet on White Water Canyon even though there are many signs that state you will definitely get at least wet if not soaked. Personally, I enjoy plopping quarters at the observation area and soaking the people as they go by.

Its time for it again
HelixSpiral said, " "Is the Tomb Raider a ride?" (while sitting at TRTR greeter next to the big TOMB RAIDER: THE RIDE sign.) " Reminds me of that Snickers commercial where the employee is asked when the next show was and he's standing next to the sign that posts show times and is asking in a very whiny voice, "Doesn't anyone know when the next show is?" Funny stuff.

Whats the worst rumor about PKI of all time?
All I know is I said that PKI won't re-enter the coaster race, not that they can't. They are not interested in taking the park in that direction. It doesn't mean they won't build any more coasters, it just means they are not trying to compete for the most or tallest or fasest. That's all. I don't think The Vortex is very rough at all. I never knew this until I joined some of these coaster communitites, but many factors can contribute to the kind of ride you get...i.e. weather, the seat you're in, whether maintenance put new wheels on, etc.

How many gallons does the Rivertown Lake hold?
Why are they called apartments when they are really together. Why do you park in a driveway and drive on a parkway? If a blind man takes LSD, will he hallucinate?
-
Construction?
Any new photos of construction yet? And, not I don't want to see bulldozers or footers being placed. I'm talking real construction.

Whats the worst rumor about PKI of all time?
Most definitely. PKI is not re-entering the coaster race. Why would they when this race will soon be coming to an end? It think even Cedar Point has realized that there's more to parks than coasters. Some seem to believe that CP will install a flat for next year. I say kudos to them. They are now following what PKI has been moving toward for the past few years or so....more family friendly. Truthfully, if you look at CP's past, before the coaster boom, it was 10 years in between coasters, essentially.

Most Important Coaster in PKI's History
I have to agree with pyrocoasterkid on that one. The Racers really meant more for the rebirth of the current coaster revolution whereas The Beast was the one that put them on the map. Next to The Beast, I would have to say The Vortex. Nothing else has drawn the crowds and lines like The Beast and Vortex did. Yes, there were long lines for FOF when it first opened, but nothing like those two. You could really throw in the King Kobra as it had very long lines and was one of the first stand-ups. Not to mention The Bat ushering in a new age of coasters that hung below the track which had never been done before.

Coming to a Close
Just so you guys know RCT3 is already on the shelves. Not sure what you are waiting for now.

The Sign is now working..
I think it's because he has a small pecker. He has to make up for it somehow.
