May 7, 200422 yr the end of CSI just happened and Grissom says he wrote a paper on antomoligy for a convention in cincinati just so he could ride SOB. Head over heals on a wood oh man! The chief maitnance sup had a conversation with grissom and says is favorite coaster is The Beast!! If you get to see CSI ever in your Life watch this one. I do know there is another topic about CSI but I think this needs a place of it own.
May 7, 200422 yr I just saw it. As soon as they said Sob, Beast, and PKI, my entire family cheered. I finished it off with a "booya"!
May 7, 200422 yr All of the people on Beast crew on AIM started going, "ARE YOU WATCHING CSI???" and other stuff like that. Gotta love plugs.
May 7, 200422 yr should i give my search bar spiel..........better not, im being hunted m=by camera men. DUDE IT WAS AWESOME to hear that. you always here disney and universal........but PKI....SCORE
May 7, 200422 yr Just got done watchen it here in indiana. As soon as i heard it a big smile found its way on my face
May 7, 200422 yr I taped CSI and just got finished watching it. Very awesome! Now, all of you who said the show would be bad publicity for a place like PKI, would you like your crow deep-fried or roasted? (<<Just a little sarcasm/humor. Don't be upset. The act that was committed to derail the coaster on the show was bizzare to say the least.)
May 7, 200422 yr The PKI nod might have something to do with one of the executive producers. She is from Loveland, OH.
May 7, 200422 yr That`s right. I forgot about that. I forget her name, is it Carol Donahue? Or something similar to that. I remember reading about her being the producer for CSI and CSI:Miami. I think she is also the producer for another CBS show.
May 7, 200422 yr That sounds right^^ I know her dad still lives in Loveland, and she still visits on a regular basis. I'm not sure if she has any involvment with the other CSI.
May 7, 200422 yr Actually, I think it is Ann Donahue I believe, who is from Loveland. There is also an executive producer by the name of Carol Mendohlson. Ann Donahue is in fact also involved with CSI:Miami, and this fall she will also be involved with the new spin off, CSI: New York
May 7, 200422 yr I taped CSI and just got finished watching it. Very awesome! Now, all of you who said the show would be bad publicity for a place like PKI, would you like your crow deep-fried or roasted? I know that this was sarcasm, but in the 3 page CSI thread, no one makes mention of this being bad publicity for PKI. Especially, since the coaster in question was none from PKI nor was the park implied to be PKI. Many people have stated that in light of recent incidents, the show's timing was not good, nothing else. So, how do you like your Crow? (sarcasm)
May 7, 200422 yr um yeah I meant that to be sarcastic and I specifically stated not to be upset. There is absolutely no sense in all the anger and all the fury because of one little comment. (Topic will probaby be closed soon) Before the closing though, here's what was said by coasterdime on the other topic: "I'm worried about the impact this highly rated show will have on the public, especially after Saturday's fatal accident at SFNE." So actually the idea, the very notion that people will look down on PKI was at least hinted at. P.S. Please calm down.
May 7, 200422 yr Man I missed that CSI Rollercoaster episode..I watched Friends I dont really like CSI Iam more an ER kinda guy.
May 7, 200422 yr Author Man I missed that CSI Rollercoaster episode..I watched Friends I dont really like CSI Iam more an ER kinda guy. Well your a roller coaster guy right. Just watch the last five minutes if they re run it.
May 7, 200422 yr Who's Upset? You're reading into it what you want. And I specicically stated that I knew it was sarcasm. "I'm worried about the impact this highly rated show will have on the public, especially after Saturday's fatal accident at SFNE." So actually the idea, the very notion that people will look down on PKI was at least hinted at. How so?
May 7, 200422 yr um yeah I meant that to be sarcastic and I specifically stated not to be upset. There is absolutely no sense in all the anger and all the fury because of one little comment. (Topic will probaby be closed soon) Before the closing though, here's what was said by coasterdime on the other topic: "I'm worried about the impact this highly rated show will have on the public, especially after Saturday's fatal accident at SFNE." So actually the idea, the very notion that people will look down on PKI was at least hinted at. P.S. Please calm down. Actually I NEVER said anything or even hinted anything about how this show might impact PKI. If you remember, there was a post very recently about Ed Markey trying to push more BS regulations down the industry's throat. That, the recent accident, and the show... MIGHT have been enough to stick in peoples' minds, and allow for more support of Markey's overkill tactics. And that was ALL I MEANT. I even qualified my statement by saying, "I know I'm mixing fantasy and reality here, but...." or something along those lines. The public, for the most part, is quite ignorant about how these rides work. (more importantly, how safety systems work) When there is more than one story or show questioning...or shining a negative light on the industry for any reason, people like Ed Markey always gain a little support. A quick check of the local media in New England will show his face, and quotes all over the place. He is having a field day....which was EXACTLY what I was worried about. For what it's worth, I really took no offense...but after being quoted, I wanted to just clarify my position....No worries
May 8, 200422 yr Now I feel bad for saying that this episode would be bad publicity for pki, because now we know it is exactly the opposite. In the episode, the rc derailed because it was foul play, not just an accident. For the most part, there is nothing to be afraid of.
May 8, 200422 yr Ohh OK. NOW the REAL culprit ^^ takes the blame. Would you rather eat crow or your funny little purple bird? I'm obviously just teasing. It's not your fault. Nobody could even conceive that Kings Island and two of the top coasters there would be mentioned by name. No hard feelings from anyone, we should all just accept that it was totally awesome and move on. PKI Homey, you took everything I said waaaaay too seriously. (Again, I say, please calm down) (lol) I always try to juice things more than what they are worth just for my own amusement and this time I was amused, but only to a certain degree. You never know when I'm going to just blurt out something just to see the reaction of people. I lead a sad life. I thought about ending this particular post at "...funny little purple bird?" but I didn't want to offend DD because she is cool and she is in that special loop that I envy. BTW: CSI rocks and the main character's name is Gil (Gilbert) Grissom. Bill Peterson's childhood hero was Astronaut Gus Grissom and Peterson changed the last name of his character in his hero's honor. (I made up the Gilbert part)
May 8, 200422 yr Nah, as I said, "No worries." I just wanted to prevent anyone from reading more into my post than was intended.
May 8, 200422 yr i was watching friends and forgot that this would be on so missed it completely!!! if someone knows when it might rerun let us know. also what coaster did they end up using for the accident?
May 8, 200422 yr Gabe, that was funny. I'm not the kind of person who takes things too seriously, so I'm open to anything. Plus, I am a responsible person who admits if they did something wrong. By the way, that funny purple bird is an eagle-It's name is Avenger. Check out my avatar daily- it changes!
May 16, 200422 yr i did watchi it and i liked the episode one of the better/funnier ones so far...but i heard SOB PKI etc my moms and my jaw hits the floor.... we looked at each other and said " oh my good my ride and place of employment just got recognition on NATIONAL TV with millions of viewers" i couldnt sleep very much that night with all the happy thoughts running through my head
