March 21, 201214 yr The beauty of photography... I could take a picture of something three different times.. and the colors will probably not match up in any of them... for many factors I'm sure Gordan Bombay could explain better than I as I am only an amateur photographer
March 22, 201214 yr The beauty of photography... I could take a picture of something three different times.. and the colors will probably not match up in any of them... for many factors I'm sure Gordan Bombay could explain better than I as I am only an amateur photographer Ha Ha as much as I hate to admit it, I nearly failed a color theory class. I never understood mixing and balancing colors and when I color balance night shots it takes me hours so I'm no expert on color. However, you are right, the color of that image could be determined by anything from the lens to the mirror to the film used. Not to mention it's pretty gray out. Every time I've seen it I actually thought it was red and black.
March 22, 201214 yr Does anyone know what year this photo was taken? Anyone on here?! Oh and nice pictures! Keep them coming!
March 24, 201214 yr Awesome sketch. Speaking of opening day, did anyone get the email from Kings Island "We're Opening Earlier this Season." My heart skipped a beat in excitement, thinking they perhaps moved opening day up, especially when it started discussing the abnormally nice weather. But, it was just an email announcing the same April 28th opening.
March 24, 201214 yr I love that sketch! Awesome sketch. Yeah, that was mean.
March 24, 201214 yr I agree, nice sketch. Do you think it was sold in one of the shops along International Street back in the day?
March 24, 201214 yr Such a shame that landscaping doesn't get as much attention now as it used to. Hopefully that will change this season though.
March 25, 201214 yr Photo #83 - This is a sketch I have hanging on my wall actually. Really wish they'd sell stuff like this. They could just set up an online store and sell them as they get orders for them. Wouldn't take much (I do this for a living)...
March 25, 201214 yr With the great weather I think landscaping will be a lot better than previous years. With a lot more time to landscape they might add more.
March 25, 201214 yr Photo #82 This doesn't happen everyday...Here I am sporting my air Jordan T in front of the clock (when it was still dressed in the old KI logo as pictured above), along with my mother and some dude ruining our Kodak moment:

March 27, 201214 yr More great landscaping, though I have to question the fashion sense of the guy in the photo.
March 27, 201214 yr Agreed, that is one of my favorite Kings Island photos I have ever seen, really gives a feel for what International Street was like back then, it looks amazing!
March 27, 201214 yr Unlike KIfan73 this is a view I probably have seen (in person)...but since I don't remember it, I end up just like KIfan73! Thanks for the photos!
March 28, 201214 yr Photo #86 Great pictures of Kings Island's past! Just one question: As I was first hired in 1972 as a "litter getter" or sweeps as they are called now, I wore an all white uniform. We wore white pants, white shirts and a white golf cap, with black hush puppy shoes. Do you have any pictures of any of us sweeping up the litter? Inside the operations building are pictures of Coney Island and Kings Island from the last day of Coney to Kings Island opening. Lots of pictures of the employees in full uniform. Mike
