Question about 2004 Season Passes

Featured Replies

I had a question that you all may be able to answer. I got a 2004 Season Pass last year, and we were told that we would receive free parking. My pass says "PARKING" on it. Does this means totally free parking or just free parking in the Gold Pass lot?

If your pass says "Parking" then you do in fact receive free parking. Now, if you have a gold season pass, and the gold pass lot isn`t full when you arrive at the park, you may park in the gold pass lot. Sometimes, the goldpass lot is full and you will have to park elsewhere in the park. Also, usually around five or six, they stop staffing the gold pass lot, so non-gold pass holders will begin parking there. However, if you arrive at the park early enough, you will probably be able to grab some of the few normal parking spots that are located right next to the handicapped spots that are actually closer to the entrance than the gold pass spots.

biggrin.gif Mine also says "PARKING" we always park where the buses and RVs park... thats like the closest spot. We never get noticed for some reason. I guess you are allowed to park wherever.

mine as well says PARKING yup Free parking...isnt it Great you can also use your pass to get into PKD,PGA,PC,PCW!

I don't know if anyone can answer this question, but does anyone know if you'll be able to have your pass processed on preview day, or do you have to have it processed before then? I have the season pass certificate, but i havent processed it yet. If anyone has an answer, i would appreciate it. Thanks

I too have free parking for this season...i rarely use the gold pass parking area since I pretty much arrive at the park an hour or two before closing, at that point you can find a few free spots near the handicap area. But on the occasion that i do arrrive early or on those unusually crowded days gold pass parking is priceless. Also, for the longest, up untill last season you could also park in the VIP area if you arive an hour or two before closing but PKI wised up and has a guard on dutie till the end of the day. Yes it is the best place to park and some pay a premium but they could still ease up a bit an hour before closing. And to answer the previous post's question....season pass processing will begin on Mon and should be open till 8pm throughout the week.

$9.00 for standar parking, and $11.00 for Preferred Parking, which is closer to the gate, but not worth it.

I think you can have them processed then because last year that is when i had mine processed.

I've got a question about parking passes.. ok say I was to buy a parking pass to PKI & I wanted to use it at another Paramount Park. Since season passes can be used at other parks, would they accept the parking pass or just say that it's only for PKI parking?

They would not let us use our PKI parking pass when we were at Carowinds. If you read the very smallm print on the back of the pass, I believe it says that parking, discounts and other perks are non-transferable to other parks, other than the one at which the pass was processed. However, when I visited Carowinds in 2001, they let us in with free parking. Both times, we had a gold season pass, so who knows.

Parking was $9 last year also. Also I doubt that parking is free at other parks. Parking is one of the major money makers for parks, so I doubt the other parks will let you park for free.

$9 for parking...Yikes!

I guess I need to go out to more amusement parks biggrin.gif

OK..another real quick question..when i go up to get my pass processed, oh say tomorrow or thursday, do i go to the toll booths or do i have to go to the security gate to get in?

The processing building is outside the Main Entrance to the left of the toll booths, I'd assume that's where you go.

I would assume you enter the parking lot as normal. I would assume that there will be no one at the toll booths so you will be able to drive right through. Then, park in the closest spot to the season pass process building, which is located right next to the lift of Face Off.

I would park next to The Beast!

Mwahahahahaah

Yeah there's a nice parking lot behind Tombraider and there's even garage doors on TRTR if you want to keep your car out of the weather biggrin.gif

They can turn TR:TR into a carwash since it's down so much, just poor a little soap in the lava pit and park your car in it!

Opps! I meant to say you can park elsewhere in the parking lot. On a side note, it would be strange to drive in a car on the midways! I remember when they opened TR:TR to the media, they had limos drive peopl back to the ride. That would be one unique and easy way to get back to TR:TR from the front gate.

Its fun for about a minute. Then it gets boring cause you have to make sure you aren't going to hit anything or anyone.
