Great to see the webcam is back up and it also looks like they fixed it to where it will update past the 2:56pm time.

Has it been mentioned if Action Theater will be open in 2011? From the webcam view it seems like it may be blocked.

Anyone else find it somewhat amusing how Drop Zone was going to originally be built close to where WindSeeker is? When watching the webcam it almost looks like Drop Zone is being built!

I believe that it has been stated in the past that the Action Theater will be open in 2011.

Has anyone confirmed whether or not those alleged pieces of WindSeeker spotted on 275 today were in fact for WindSeeker?

**EDIT**

This just posted to the WindSeeker page on Ki`s website here: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/park/rides/thrill_rides/WindSeeker.cfm

The first pieces for the WindSeeker tower are expected to hit the docks in Norfolk, Va. on February 21. They should arrive at the park by the end of next week.

Vertical construction of Kings Island's newest thrill ride is expected to begin by the middle of March.

What a beautiful day! It's supposed to be nice this weekend. Hmmm...I wonder if we get enough "likes" our GM would let us open the park this weekend. Who's with me?

Looks pretty similar to me to be honest.

Hi Everybody,

I read the forums regularly, but rarely post. However, today around 11:30 AM while I was driving back to work on I 70 E newar Pataskala I noticed something you all miight be interested in. Travelling West on 70 were four semis that looked to be carrying WindSeeker Tower Pieces. I was only able to get a quick pic of the last semi but I posted it for speculation. Have a great day. :)

West on I-70?

That's odd. WindSeeker is being shipped via cargo boat to Norfolk VA. From there, it's being trucked north. If the pieces you saw were for KI, it seems more likely to me they would have just travelled via I-64. I could be wrong, but those pieces you saw may be headed to Cedar Point.

It very well could've been going to Cedar Point. I just thought it was cool that I saw them, so thought I would post. Initially, I thought of King's Island, but it is very possible that they're going to Cedar Point.

I'd bet that they are for Kings Island. If you look up directions (on google maps) from Norfolk to Kings Island one of the routes goes through Pataskala via I-70 West. None of the prospective routes to Cedar Point go through that area. Just my two cents. If those trucks are headed to KI, they should be pulling in shortly.

No matter which park that's for, it's still interesting. Thanks for sharing :)

I agree, appreciate the post!

Also keep in mind how large these ride pieces are. Since they are oversize that have to get permits from the states they are driving through. Those permits tell the driver the ONLY way he/she may travel with his/her oversize load. Sometimes those routes are not the smartest, lol.

I am pretty sure that you can not drive a tandem trailer in IL. Meaning you can not piggy back 2 trailers behind each other behind your truck. Which is legal in IN. I have heard of people coming to Indy having to bypass IL and cut through KY instead. This may have changed over the last few years, but my point is as others have stated certain loads may have to take unique routes to get to their destination.

I know someone showed pieces in Wilmington at a stop. Wilmington is north of KI, so maybe they were headed to CP.

Wilmington is south of I-70 and Columbus.

Thank you, I'm quite aware of that, I'm originally from Columbus so I know 70 and Columbus well. My original comment was that Wilmington was north of KI, therefor maybe the parts were going to Cedar Point. In saying that I had a friend let me know that pieces were in Wilmington I was stepping aside from the comments about I-70 and speculating where the parts were going due to their appearance in Wilmington.

From the parks twitter www.twitter.com/kingsislandpr

Looks like the 4 new pieces have arrived at the park.

This is starting to get exciting. Can't wait to see them start putting these pieces together.

I just got an email from KI saying that the last 3 pieces are en route and will be delivered this week.

Since KI posted pictures of them arriving today, they must of had an easy route. smile.gif

I find it kind of funny how the pieces are being delicately placed in the open parking lot, only to be lifted back onto a truck and driven into the park a few days later. I really never understood the point of doing this, publicity? Overall, it is pretty cool to see pieces in the parking lot, and I'm sure someone on here knows the answer on why they go through the trouble of keeping the pieces temporarilly in the parking lot.
