Where were you when Diamondback struck?

Featured Replies

I thought that it would be an awesome topic to talk about where people were when they first found out about DB.

I remember that I was coming home from a baseball game and got the mail. I saw piece of paper that said "Kings Island" on it. I unfolded the note and was so excited to look at that red and black piece of paper. I just couldn't wait for 2009!

At home on my computer, I went to "www.visitkingsisland.com" and I saw it on the front page. After that everyday I looked at the DB website for updates!

I remember they had a countdown on there site they I use to go check every once in awhile. I was at band camp when they released it so I couldn't see the ride until later that night. But I did find out by a text message everything about the ride.

I had been watching the project since the rumor first popped up during Haunt 2007. I kept stalking KIC and visitkingsisland.com like a hawk, and was sitting at the computer waiting come Agust 6, 2:00 pm. (Wow...thats kinda lame that I remember that) I freaked out!

I was on my way home from New York City when I got a text message and I read it aloud to both my parents and I was so excited to get home and hop on KIC to find out more!

I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it may tend to incriminate Sally...

Wha?

I would search Kings Island and noticed they may be putting in a new ride, and I began to notice changes around the park, and was on the website when they announced it, so I guess I was at home on the website reading all about it.

Ride, Sally, Ride...

How quickly they forget.

Send in the cranes

There ought to be cranes

And now it's next year....

OK got the first line, but now I am confused by the rest of the post. Interpreting the Interprerter is usually fun, but this one I am not so sure! unsure.gif

I have no idea where I was when Diamondback struck. I do remember a little kid saying on the news that it is going to be 4000ft tall, and go 500mph.

You'll never catch me repeating gossip

So you'd better listen close the first time...

hee haw...

Hee Haw is how the sound horses make....horses....iron horse....Son of Beast is being renovated with iron horse rails!

Oh, how I love rumors.

I'm sorry, the number you have dialed is not in service at this time. If you need assistance, please, hang up and dial your operator. This is a recording. 606 9.

I was on my way home from Cedar Point. I told him to check here frequently and call me if there was anything major. He called me while I was in a mcdonalds. He told me it was called Diamondback. First thing I asked him... "Your kidding right?". But then I went on my Ipod Touch and searched for it. Very neat experience. :)

Exact same for me.

Go sit in a very big rocking chair....

Terpy, who knows some, and only some, will get that one...

And I am one of the some...and I prefer to think I do because I know my classic television...not because i'm old. tongue.gif
