Could give it a name and theme with another mythical creature. That'd fit pretty nicely.
  2. You know what might be really cool in here, assuming the height works within the space? http://www.flatrides.com/rides/skywheel.html ^This.
  3. Does anyone know what the final two rides of "Kingdom Seven" are yet? Or were two of the seven things just general improvements to the park?
  4. I couldn't help the curiosity so I did end up searching it last night. That's just awful. It's such a shame that an organization like this is the public face of "animal lovers" when obviously it couldn't be further from the truth.
  5. Cool! Amazon has everything!
  6. I don't take my phone, but my husband takes his in cargo short pockets. Those things are awesome.
  7. If anything I'd say keeping dogs in a (large) cage while you're gone is safest! I think I'll hold off on the google search. Maybe I don't want to know. I'll take your word for it.
  8. How so? I'm not a PETA fan, I like supporting farm sanctuaries and no-kill shelters directly. But I've never heard of PETA killing animals. (Doing other crazy stuff? Yes.)
  9. It destroyed property values in Aurora when it shut down and just was left to sit there and rot. When I lived there in the Six Flags WOA days, my parents, who made about ten times what I make and were in their 40s, probably could not afford a home there. (We rented.) Everything was insanely expensive and the schools were top notch. Now, even I could afford to buy a house there. It went from an upscale community, with people taking out huge mortgages, to people having to sell their homes at rock bottom prices and pay the difference. It's understandable that a lot of people would be upset, even after all this time. I knew animal trainers who worked for Sea World/Wild Life side. When CF purchased the park they had already built a life in the community, and they were forced to relocate to another park and leave their friends and family behind and move really far away. Plus it was a fun thing for kids in the area to do and it kept them out of trouble. Now there's not much in that town for kids to do. That's life. Companies seek profits above all else, they have to. But people are going to be upset about it. I'm still sad about it. And I'm not affected by it nearly as much as the people who have roots and homes in that community. Sometimes I wish it had stayed a small family park, that wouldn't compete with Cedar Point much. Completely different demographic- families with young kids, grandparents and grandchildren- a beautiful small park with a lot of fun rides, not trying to break any records. Something like Waldameer. Now it can never happen. I'm not a huge waterpark person, so I haven't been to Wildwater Kingdom yet. Maybe I'll make a trip there this summer when I visit my grandparents & CP. I don't like slides but I think they have a nice wave pool.
  10. Hope you feel better!!
  11. That is the coolest idea ever. I wish I could go!
  12. I'm planning a KI/CP/Waldameer trip in August hopefully, and if all works out I MAY even stop by Carowinds and KD before heading back. I really want to ride KD's version of The Crypt. It's not quite the same, but it has some of the cool theming elements I miss. (Plus I just really like top spins.) Could be a long, exhausting trip but we don't get out East much these days and we need to make it count!
  13. Is there really a plan for this building within the next few years, or am I getting my hopes up for nothing?

So, I just googled Rougarou and went to images to see what the new color scheme was. I'm probably going to have nightmares now.

I'm a big fan of anything blue and/or green. I agree that red and yellow are WAY overused. Maybe something's wrong with my eyes but that T3 pic, I see as orange, not red. Wouldn't be quite so bad if there were different color supports. Banshee and Fury 325 have the prettiest colors, IMO I love the color combinations on both of those rides.
  16. I have a really detailed idea for an epic themed wild mouse coaster in that building. However I HIGHLY doubt Kings Island is going to come to some random person with no experience for ride ideas. I'd love to see a wild mouse in that building though, with a few good drops, a helix, and a more in-depth version of the crypt theming.
  17. Ah, my mistake. I never realized they had three of these type rides! I only remember riding two, but yes, I was thinking Turnpike Cars.
  18. Are they really so cruel as to tease us like that and have it be a lamppost? Maybe it is a lamppost... Perhaps a diversion lamppost!
  19. Hmmm, here's a thought... What are they doing with CP's Antique Cars? ......
  20. They have other barrel-style rides besides the Intamin one. Example: http://www.flatrides.com/rides/barreloffun.html (This being a typical neighborhood carnival/county fair ride.) Maybe not likely to happen, just throwing out random ideas. I guess we shall see eventually!
  21. Why DOESN'T Cedar Fair do much theming? I never really understood that. goodyellowkorn, this is AMAZING. So many fantastic ideas. I'm so glad someone revived this thread!
  22. I'd love to see a new dark ride at KI. I'm still waiting for them to put a new dark ride in the big metal box. I've heard people talking about Der Spinning Keggers a lot on here. That wouldn't be too far from it's original location, would it? I'm wondering if maybe they'll do another one of those or another spinning barrel type ride.
  23. Something German themed, perhaps?
  24. Google maps.....you can take a stroll through Tower Gardens on a nice summer day. Thank you! Can't believe I didn't think of that. It's a shame they'd get rid of so many trees. But kind of exciting to wonder about what's going to be there! I hope they'll keep at least some of the trees.
  25. Does anyone have any pictures of Tower Gardens before it was dug up? I can not for the life of me remember what this place looked like, and it's only been a couple years.
