Accident on Alton Towers Smiler
Didn't hear the screaming because I'm at work with the sound off. Those poor kids...

Accident on Alton Towers Smiler
Like many in the Youtube comments section, I don't really understand what's happening in the video. Also, in videos and photos it looks as though the first couple rows of the train are empty but the rest of the rows have people in them.

Accident on Alton Towers Smiler
That sounds terrifying! I hope everyone who got hurt ends up okay. Why would they continue to operate it with guests on board knowing there were problems? What's the harm in shutting it down for a bit and testing/inspecting to make SURE it's safe?

Geauga Lake Protesting
I could see it being a good location for a Meijer. Aurora honestly didn't have many large grocery stores to choose from when I lived there. A lot of small, overpriced stores. We always had to go to neighboring towns. Looks like they have a nearby Walmart now, but I think they'd like having more options close by. I just still really hope someone takes some of the land and makes it into a picnic park/playground and honor its history.

^ I've noticed the ad before. I thought it was just based on my browsing history from looking at Kentucky Kingdom's website.

Is The Beast from the future?
Sounds like a good theme for KI's future Triotech dark ride!

Busch Gardens Tampa: New ride watch
^ They should want to! Tampa is awesome. Gorgeous gulf beaches, dolphin cruises, aquariums, museums, it really has a lot to offer as a vacation destination, and is much more affordable than Orlando.

Wow. That last paragraph is some awkward marketing... (Also, I'd suggest ginger pills instead of the antihistamine.)

Busch Gardens Tampa: New ride watch
That looks amazing!!! I wasn't expecting to see any news on it until later today. But I saw this article this morning: http://www.miamiherald.com/living/travel/florida-travel/article22439055.html I wonder if it will have any indoor elements as we first believed? It looks like it will be at least partially outdoors. I love the Cobra, epic theming at its best! And I love the name Cobra's Curse. It goes really well with the Egypt themed area. This ride seems like it'll be not only a blast, but also really nice to look at.

New 2016 coaster at SeaWorld to be Orlando’s tallest, fastest, longest.
The closest hypercoaster to Florida that I am aware of is Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia (correct me if I'm wrong because I might be). Over a 6 hour drive from Orlando. I think Mako fills a much needed niche for the locals in that area. There's plenty of time to expand into new things in the future.

Things you first experienced at Kings Island
KI was the first and only place I ever experienced an Xtreme Skyflyer type ride. It was well worth the extra money! SO much fun. I think that was about 10 years ago. It was also the first place I ever saw a coney. I was very young and very confused as to why there were no cones involved.

Theme parks turning aging coasters into new thrill rides
I think it was a fantastic idea for Mantis/Rougarou. The ride can have a whole new life and become popular again now. And then there's some things that would be better left as is. Beast & Racer being two of them. Really depends on the ride.

Guests Say The Darnest Things
I'm no expert obviously, but I'd say same track, same coaster. Different track, different coaster. It all depends on what you define as the main element of the coaster, I suppose. And a lot of people will answer that in different ways.

Has Dinosaurs Alive ran it's course?
That boat ride sounds like a FANTASTIC idea. CP could definitely use something like it, since Paddlewheel Excursions has gone the way of the dinosaur. I miss that ride. There's a place in Pigeon Forge that is an indoor dinosaur themed boat ride with lots of animatronics and special effects. I've been there a couple times and they do a very nice job of keeping it up, despite there never being a crowd. (Actually we had the place to ourselves both times we went.) It was REALLY cool. I'd love to see them do something like that only outdoors.

Poor, Poor Monster
^I have to agree. Black paint looks best. I think a new coat of black would look very nice. And a new lighting package, maybe varying shades of green.

Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas cost?
I tried researching this and I found nothing either. Except one article where the Six Flags spokesperson said it was a "substantial investment" but would not provide a dollar value. Time will tell, I suppose!

Kentucky Kingdom
Quote from article: "He touched on numerous on topics and called out those who accuse the park of wrongdoing only to gain publicity or a quick payday." Yeah, okay! Payday from whom, exactly?
