I would actually expect a good size crowd, not solely because of the jump though, but more because it is Memorial Day Weekend.

First off I don't think that a restaraunt at a park with full service like you are talking about would be very successful. I know that when I am at a park I want to eat and get out as quikly as possible. Having a server is just going to waste quality time that I could be spending riding rides. Who is going to want to sit for an hour waiting on food to be prepared and served. As far as the $4 Coke, this is where a majority of the money is made at the park. But would you rather see your season pass price be jacked up an additional $100 - $200 just so you can save an extra 50 cents on a burger? Honestly, I will take the current prices on the food and get a season pass for the reasonable price it's offered at considering it's pretty much a steal when you add in the free parking benefits they offer every season.

yea, the fog machines like to play havok on the smoke detectors. I also remember one year when they left the fo machines on during the day and everyone got off the ride saying that the ride was on fire.

Sad story, I heard them discussing the anniversary coming up this week on the news over the weekend. They called it the worst drunk driving accident ever in the entire country.

You wouldn't have been able to see it prior to 2006 anyway, it was pretty well hidden behind FOF

Do you realize how unrealistic that is?? Think of the man power you would need to do that. I think money can be spent better elsewhere than sterilizing a bunch of deer and other animals.

You would think they would be faster with the number of bar checkers they have.

The Racer has been running since day 1 this year. Don't you think that if 2 people were really thrown out of the train, that there would be a buzz of media coverage on it?

The ride is over before you know it. At one point your waiting to be launched, and the next you realize that you are back at the brakes. Like others have said, you literally have no time to realize just how high you actually are. I would recommend you ride it at least once just to say you have done it. If you don't like it, you can at least tell people you tried it once and didn't like it.

Usually you will not see the employees getting the change because they will do it a lot during the week during the pre/post seasons.

Agreed. They probably want to let things die down a bit so they don't push her into rebelling as teenagers often do. I would also think that Disney doesn't want Miley to turn into another Britney Spears and keep her wholesome image.

I've never actually gone to a concert there, but I have heard plenty while working. Would have liked to have seen the Freedom Concert last year, hopefully they come back again this August.

Makes sense, they can't be eating the cost of rising fuel costs if they want to make a profit.

Nice article... Seems like every year around this time or around the time the park opens daily that an article comes out about the maintenance and safety of the rides from one of the local news organizations.

If you recall when IJST was built, they closed the path between the current Sunt Coaster Site and swan lake. The fences currently block that same path. I have heard that we can expect that path to not make a return.

You have to remember that the Tower is built to allow air to move through most of it's stucture. If the Tower was completely solid like the KI sign in the parking lot is/was, then they would really have a problem with the winds.

I have had the opportunity to visit the real tower in France and while it is quite windy, it's really not to bad. As far as KI, I don't recall the tower ever being closed for high winds while I worked there. Drop Zone was closed quite a bit for high winds though.

I have noticed a diffrence on the red racer, (formerly known as the backwards racer) definately much smoother. I can't speak for the blue one since I didn't ride that side during my visit on the 19th.
