  1. Two new mazes this year. Same name, different maze/experience with Slaughter House.
  2. More details to come, but an exclusive opportunity for KIC members to enjoy a lights on tour of three of the park's Halloween Haunt mazes will be available Saturday, November 1.
  3. Banshee is on pace to give the most rides ever for a new attraction at Kings Island.
  4. A. Yes. Someone knows.B. Welcome to KIC! It has been said that Hot Blooded is being replaced by Skeleton Key, about which little is known. Cryptic O'Terpy...understanding is key -- Look out for Old Blue's Clues. ----"I See Blue"----- Hush! This is a grave matter!
  5. It is noted that Fast Lane Plus passes are limited in quantify, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  6. How do you know there was no donation? Do you have access to the master list?
  7. This is about giving our renewing season passholders what they've been asking for: something for renewing since there is not a price break in the fall between new and renewal. We're also going to be giving our guests that renew their season pass before November 2 something else they've been asking for with an exclusive preview night before the park opens for the 2015 season.
  8. Last year season passes went on sale August 30.
  9. The Bat gave almost 800,000 rides in 2013.
  10. The last day for Cirque Imagine is August 17. The show schedule changes after Sunday for the other shows.
  11. On Saturday, August 9, Kings Island will attempt to surpass the world record for the most people applying sunscreen simultaneously to help raise awareness and money for the fight against cancers affecting men, women and children. The Guinness Book of Records shows the current record at 1,822 people applying sunscreen simultaneously. That was achieved by the Ann’s Hope Foundation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 18, 2014. The Kings Island initiative is part of its Kicks Cancer campaign to raise awareness for Melanoma Know More and will take place at 12:00 p.m. in the Showplace Theatre on International Street. Cincinnati Reds all-star third baseman Todd Frazier will join park visitors in the record-breaking attempt. Melanoma Know More is striving to reduce the impact of melanoma through awareness, education, support of medical research and assistance to persons affected by melanoma.
  12. No matter when an event might be scheduled there are going to be conflicts, whether it's an event at another park, a coaster club conference. charity riding event, or park operating hours (difficult to offer ERT on days the park closes at midnight).
  13. If it's the most something has been done, it's a record.
  14. The park did announce this over the PA, website and Twitter.
  15. That would be the type of rider that might really want to avoid publicity and eternal fame. If the milestone rider doesn't participate (provide name, pose for photo, etc), I wonder if they'd pick 100,000,001. We will take a photo of the 100-millionth rider. Whether they want to provide us with their name is up to the guest.
  16. The single rider line was intended for guests who had no one else in their party that wanted to ride.
  17. More than 90 percent of the single riders on Diamondback were with groups of people who also claimed to be single in an effort to by-pass the line.
  18. It wasn't that complicated to keep track of the ridership of each of the rides in the park in the 1970's. Capacity for each train is 30. If a train had three open seats, a 27 went in the log for that cycle. There was a big push in the 1970's and most of the 1980's to pair single riders which helped the ride surpass 3 million rides given in a season multiple times including 3.6 million in 1976.
  19. We film each of our shows during the season.
  20. The Banshee and Beast pages on our website have POV footage. We may add Diamondback and Vortex before the end of the season.
  21. We're on it with improving the mobile app. You'll see changes to the app in the foreseeable future.
  22. We've done a number of tweet-ups this summer including last night when we gave away Banshee posters. Done randomly and unexpectedly, we're getting different winners every time. As for the blog, a lot of the things you'll see other parks post in blogs in the news section of our website. Essentially the same thing, different name.
  23. Taking photos or video on rides can result in being ejected from the park and given a misdemeanor under O.R.C. 1711551. This information is stated in the Park Guide.
  24. Geez, I sure didn't have my wits with me last night... I think I was trying to ask about the 100 millionth Racer rider. If both sides are in operation, would the count alternate between sides? Blue and red first rows, followed by blue and red second rows...ending with the last rows? So, for instance if the count needed 4 riders to reach the magic number, does Red/unload side/front-row get the pick? And the 5th rider is Blue/unload side/second-row? Or maybe whichever side wins the race starts the count and numbers 1-30 are on the winning side? We have a plan in place as guests approach the station the day of the milestone ride so we'll know exactly who the 100-millionth rider on The Racer is.
