One prediction for PTON, is with the introduction of Arpeggio the Cat as new character which I presume will be present throughout most of the ride, well personally I think this is supposed to be the same Cat that was scared by the giant mouse/rat in the original PT ride, but in the new ride I can see them do a twist where Arpeggio gets the upper hand and scares the giant mouse/rat... I think that would be perfect! (If they decide to bring the gianr mouse/rat back, this is what I think they should do!)

Yeah I was disappointed with the downgrade, I'm not sure how they could make it work with the Peanuts characters but I'm sure with the Nickelodeon characters they could have, to this day I'm not sure why they haven't changed the name. If there was part of Hanna-Barbera Land I wish they would have kept, it would have definitely been the Hanna-Barbera Carousel.

I agree! Especially parks like Universal Studios sell their ride props after ride removals. But also this was back in 2002 when they closed PT in the middle of the season without warning so who knows what they were thinking.

I really enjoyed seeing some behind the scenes of the PT convering into SDATHC but it's sad to hear most of the original PT props were thrown away, I hope some were rescued and are restored for the new ride. I'm glad some props have been used for haunt such as the furnace from the original PT ride but seeing it in this state stained with fake blood is just disappointing and I wish it could be restored in some way.

I want to be surprised for the most part no actual scenes however a teaser here and there would be nice, I still would like to see pictures of Boo Blasters props being removed though.

I was thinking that too, I don't see why not the IAAPA wouldn't acknowledge Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare, I want to see as many teasers as I can before the ride opens in 2026. I'm hoping KI has more teasers soon or at least some construction process.

It was a nostalgic trip if they brought back the original costume that Kings Island had for the 1992 season (then dissappeard) occasionally I've seen the mask during Halloween Haunt. I would love to ride Monster Mansion, very good use of animatronics for a dark ride from the POV videos I have seen.

We are planning on going those extra days in November particularly the 8th & 9th... any predictions on how busy it may be?

I agree, I too am curious what the building looks like gutted, however I feel like KI is going to keep it a secret (unless some pictures get leaked) until the ride officially opens in 2026.

I wonder if they would take the old BBOBH props from KI and make a new Boo Blasters at Cedar Point, nowadays I think CP is lacking a dark ride since the removal of Disaster Transport.

I feel that, I haven't had such anticipation for a ride since Mystic Timbers.

All these speculations on what is going on with the old Vortex land... meanwhile we all know deep down its going to be another Coca-Cola refresh station!

In my opinion the purple castle worked very well with the Scooby-Doo theming but when the years went by and it was changed over to Boo Blasters, it became sort of an eyesore and it has gotten dirty damaged and even one of the fangs from the mouth is damaged. Could it be modified for the Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare? Yes I believe so but I would love to see a new opening, but nonetheless I'm excited to see the Phantom Theater return regardless of what the entrance looks like.

I like the Bruce Springsteen idea and during Christmas you can play his famous "Santa Clause is coming to town" but Billy Joel is my literal favorite of all time both are great ideas however I think The Racer is perfect the way it is.

That's awesome! I think at night that would be a very good experience to hear the music of The Phantom Theater! Also is anybody else hoping the new Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare will be dark as it was in the original? I'm hopping its not lit up all the way through like Boo Blasters/SD&THC.

Yeah I would love to see more buggies return but sadly I don't see it happening.

Night rides on WindSeeker are always my favorite. Honestly I love both CP & KI WindSeekers however at CP I do enjoy being by the water at night it's very calming.

The Monster was always the first ride we rode whenever we went to Coney Mall, followed by the Zephyr. I love night rides on both!
