  1. Gods of thrash metal. That album is indeed awesome.
  2. I doubt that they would put a ride there, as I have suggested many times now.
  3. Why would they put 7 light posts in the middle of an already well-lit area?
  4. So will the orange
  5. I agree. It's hard to believe that the area that was known as Wild Animal Habitat not all that long ago has no trees and almost no natural elements to it.
  6. I think it'll look better when it's finish. I think dark charcoal and orange is a pretty good and interesting color combo. I'm a fan of them and all, don't get me wrong, but with the Bengals around, I see the black and orange color combo enough around the greater Cincinnati are as it is already.
  7. How can anyone say that any hand dryer is unsanitary? The only people touching them are those who just washed their hands. I think you'll be ok.
  8. Terms of ServiceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Even though that post is a month and a half old, you still, in that amount of time, couldn't figure out that all my trademark complaints in all the threads I discussed it were directed towards Cedar Fair and not KIC. smh....
  9. I kind of want a pet anteater, those things look sweet.
  10. I went on a Saturday during Haunt this past year and the park was the most crowded I have ever witnessed in hundreds of visits, but every bathroom I went in was surprisingly clean. I thought the staff did an outstanding job given the crowd.
  11. It definitely looks as though the circle has been expanded. For what reason I do not know, but I do enjoy reading the speculation from others
  12. Best antagonizer with regards to Banshee: YoungStud
  13. I'm a bit surprised that they didn't go with the revamped Action Zone target/circle for their cover. It's generated more discussion than Banshee here recently.
  14. Colerain is where I was born and raised. If I'm remembering correctly, I believe I once learned that Mt. Rumpke is the highest point of elevation in Hamilton county. We certainly have something to be proud of, haha.
  15. Mount Rumpke actually isn't in Ross. It is several miles south of Ross, in Colerain.edit: FWIW, Stricker's Grove isn't technically within the boundaries of Ross Township either, but it's pretty close.
  16. I'm very impressed with the work they are doing in the offseason. Just adding a ride like Banshee is crazy expensive, but they aren't stopping there. A complete re-theme of The Bat, work in Action Zone, and what appears to be painting Xtreme Skyflyer is quite ambitious.
  17. One of my fondest memories ever of KI is riding them with my older cousin for the first time who showed me how to maneuver it well enough to snap it and get it to scrape the ground. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I'd love to give it another shot to see if I still have the magic touch that she taught me.

  19. That's a good point, ChainDog. I'm torn between wanting them to add some awesome lighting effects vs. wanting it to be as dark as possible at night. I just don't know how dark it can possibly get in that area of the park.
  20. That was my initial thought, but they are making a push to say how great of a night ride Banshee will be, so maybe the lighting effects will improve the ride experience as well.
  21. Maybe the whole construction of Banshee is just a big diversion for the unannounced epicness that is going to go in the circle in the middle of Action Zone. Maybe what they have planned for the circle is so mindblowing that it will change the landscape of amusement parks as we know it forever, and they just built the world's longest inverted coaster to keep our focus away from the magnificence that will go in the new Action Zone circle area... Then again, maybe not.
  22. I can't say I'm surprised. It got pretty disgusting inside there, too. The glass at the Pepper's Ghost effect section was COVERED in spit and gum; same for the section where you would see the posters for each character, and then a light would shine on the posters and you could see the character behind the poster. Those posters would get absolutely disgusting by season's end. It was a real shame.
  23. That's funny, because I too have a fuzzy memory of the monorail, but the one thing that sticks out to me is that it was cool and air-conditioned inside them and gave us a nice break from the hot, humid summer weather. So one of us is mis-remembering things. I'll admit it could very well be me.
  24. Thank you SO MUCH for posting that link! What a great read! The content in that thread is phenomenal! I really wish that area would have stuck around for just a few more years. I remember it vaguely as a kid, but I would have a much greater appreciation for an attraction like that at an older age.
  25. I don't see it failing because of it trying to "cater to a specific audience", and if anything, I think its odds of thriving are much better because of that very same reason.
