  1. I think your statement about it being in a weird spot in the park is a big reason why it could actually last longer. It is not one of the easier to develop spots, and aside from a couple of the turns towards the end of the ride near the old Son of Beast station it isn't really sitting on any prime land to use. I do think it does have it's days numbered as many of these types of coasters are slowly leaving but I feel it is safe for now. I agree with others that Invertigo will likely be the next as it has horrible capacity and still often doesn't have real long lines. It and Congo Falls together make up a great plot for a new coaster/development. As well as boomerang coaster like this are also dropping like flies so it is likely not going to stick around for a real long time itself. I enjoy it it if I'm sitting in the outward facing seat on the end so I'm looking down for the first drop as it gives a bit of a Drop Tower type feel with watching the ground as you are pulled higher and then held there looking down, plus seeing the end of the track coming up when climbing the second lift. Outside of that I find the ride pretty average and usually get a bad headache, and just not with the wait so would be fine to see it go.
  2. I always thought a dive coaster would look great there, I don't think it'd be too awkward next to Diamondback. Think having the lift in the same spot as Vortex with a curve and drop facing the front of the park it could have a great look and visual of the skyline. Could have it dive down and loop back up next to the midway where the batwing was. Not sure how well it'd really fill or utilize the space though, sould have to look at overlays well and see how theming could go. But a multi-launch type coaster could be great. something like Maverick or Copperhead Strike would look great in it's spot. However, I could see one fit really well into AZ and look great there. If they decided to take out Invertigo and Congo Falls a new dive coaster could fit into that spot really well. Station could be near Invertigo's current stations with the dive coming out by congo Falls pool/queue.
  3. A standard free spin I woulnd't want to see. They tend to get very poor reviews and lots of complaints about being painful. Plus have a very low capacity for them. A 4d coaster like Dinoconda I'd be ok with. tHey look fun and are more controlled to make a good expereince
  4. Hate to see the station go as it looked great and was kind of iconic for that area of the park. However it's removal would allow for the much needed expanding of the midway in that spot. It already felt congested enough with the exit path for WindSeeker and Vortex there. If they ever do anything with the old action theatre it will really need more room for people to get through, as well as just visibility for the attraction. If we get another coaster in that same area I hope they try to emulate the look of the former station with the new one.
  5. Would love to move it there as it would fit in thematically and open up a ton of space in the AZ area. It’s current location right in the middle will really hinder any changes and rebranding. that along with a sky fly flat ride could really flesh out that new area. Maybe Sling Shot could be moved there too as it’s a very small foot print and would open up some space for Oktoberfest too.
  6. I think it looks great but I'd probably make one change to start. I'd leave teh start of the Crypt's queue line (tear down the big buildings though) and theme it to a mine shaft and use as a queue for a Screamin' Swing themed to a mine shaft headgear. can leave the new restaurant by The Beast but the building closer to the main midway would be removed. The exit could empty into that new plaza.
  7. Action Zone needs the most to me. There seems to be no real theme anymore just a concrete slab with ride entrances off of it. Think the dark forest theme would be perfect with Banshee an The Bat there and could tie into Oktoberfest as well. Put in some pavers or more themed path through there and plant a lot of trees. Love to see Timberwolf removed for expansion of it but know that isn't likely anytime soon. I'd probably take out Invertigo and Amazon Falls for a new plot of land for a new ride. Oktoberfest I'd put second. It looks great right now especially with the Festhaus glockenspiel being fixed. But it could use some additions to expand it. Having jsut Viking Fury and AE is kind of a weak land, especially when AE doesn't really fit the theme. I'd remove the ladder game and put in a small flat like the new Zamperla Nebulaz and theme it to a Glockenspiel and name it that. Then add in either a teacup or tilt a whirl style ride themed to spinning barrels and name it Der Spinning Keggers to bring back and old ride/name. Ideally I'd remove Sling Shot and put it in there. Latly I know it breaks the 11th commandment but since a lot of effects don't work anymore I'd retheme AE to a Black Forest themed car ride similar to Verbolten. I'd keep the track the same just new cars and some new scenery and effects to liven it up an fit into Oktoberfest.
  8. don't think this will go anywhere. Sure there are signs posted saying no loose articles. And I wound't be surprised if there was more to the conversation. Like he was told to leave it in a locker and the guy said he didn't want to pay so the attendant said something like well you can hide it in some bushes then. Either way it's the phone owner's responsibility. They didn't force him to leave it out even if they told him it was an option.
  9. Which I believe is for the best. They have a pretty strong coaster line up as is, especially with Iron Gwazi this year. They can really use some more flats though as they don't have many, especially big ones.
  10. Could be a repeat of this year as well since there have been strong rumors of a new coaster for Busch Gardens Williamsburg as well. So potentially new coasters, or at least new major rides, in all 5 parks again.
  11. I'm excited to see how this land turns out but likely won't get to see it in person until it comes to Orlando. Little disappointed that this announcement didn't really tell us much at all. About all the new stuff we learned was about the wrist bands for interactive play with the land. Was hoping for some new details on the rides.
  12. For that video concept, I would love to get a skyride and a new Monster to greatly increase its capacity. Hang glider I think would make a better attraction for Area 72 with the flight theme for that area. I personally think this would actually make a great addition for Oktoberfest. It seems like it would have a pretty small foot print so might be able to fit in where the ladder game is currently and can move/remove it. Call it Glockenspiel and theme ti to a German clock tower.
  13. I don't see KMAA coming off either but more so because of it's more limited capacity. Opening it up to all FL would allow more people into the line and it's not one that moves real fast to begin with. So I think it will likely stay on there for a few years. And even adding Orion, there's only 5 rides on it that aren't on the regular pass (dry side) so it's not limiting the regular line too bad. I feel like Flight of Fear being a lower capacity coaster and Beast being the parks trademark coaster that neither would be likely to leave either. So if a ride was likely to drop off the list I'd put my guess on Mystic Timbers.
  14. The distnace is probably not far off but its the same on all of them. because of the forces and speed the hill has to even out pretty high up. So probably just be 85* for a small portion of the drop but you'll still notice it.
  15. Think more family level attractions as a whole, not jstu the kids area. They have a great kids area now and don't want them to ignore it but feel liek more family level flats and attractions spread around the park would be good. There's a few for the whole family in PS but it's mostly just Coney Mall for family rides. Rest of the park seems to be coasters and big flats. Want to see them really focus on addign more flat rides and maybe a new dark ride or something.
  16. the coaster looks liek a lot of fun but not sure it would really add a lot to the park honestly. We already have a standard family woodie with Woodstock Express, a classic out and back (similar to this) with the hills with Racer, a unique layout that is a legendary classic with Beast, and a modern woodie with Mystic Timbers. My top choice for the next wooden coaster would be a hybrid to get something more different fro what we currently have.
  17. though it could be a sign for other parks Arrow loopers. Ones that have had conversions of some type i wound't expect to go anywhere but maybe other ones coudl get replaced.
  18. I was wondering that too. Not surprised to see them move them at least as it seemed liek there were never many people over there. Kind of get ignored off on their own and not really noticed while in the waterpark. Plus the location would be prime for a Thanksgiving expansion or something else in that spot. Possibly if they put in a big water coaster or something else that utilized Pilgrim's Plunge and went around the Mayflower to utilize that space too. Otherwise could be used for a small flat ride expansion area.
  19. Knowing we won't be able to get the same rides back even jsut ones that evoke the same spirit Id love to see. With KCKC, we could really use a larger flume somewhere in the park that goes through the treetops and offers a bigger thrill than RFYLCB. I like the flume we have but a bigger one would be great. Seems liek most are getting removed though so doesn't seem likely so I'm just glad we still have the one we do. Would love to see the return of a good classic dark ride like Phantom Theatre too. Maybe put it elsewhere in the park and keep Boo Blasters a shooter but give it a Charlie Brown theme for Planet Snoopy. Then give a good story based dark ride with animatronics and effects over where Action Theatre was or something.
  20. Disney and Universal parks are kind of on another tier to your standard regional park so not counting them I'd probably say Dollywood as well. The atmosphere and theming in the mountain location is amazing. Plus the rides, shows and food are all top notch. I'm hoping to get to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Hersheypark this summer so we'll see if either one takes the spot. For just general rides it is hard to beat Cedar Point, but outside of the Frontier Trail I don't really feel like there is any theming or atmosphere to the park so some others get pushed above for giving an overall better expereince even if they don't match up on overall ride lineup.
  21. I think their resorts get a lot more than just the attendees off Dollywood. With it's location to Pigeon Forge/Gatinburg they probably have plenty of visitors to the city itself that stay there that never even go to the park, or else a park visit is only a part of their stay. Plus the addition of convention space with this plan will give them more stuff to bring people to them.
  22. Think it looks fun enough and could be made on a larger scale if needed that could increase the excitement. Not every flat needs to be an extreme thrill. At the least this could make a great family level ride in Planet Snoopy and be something pretty unique and awesome to watch too. Do agree that capacity would probably be low as it appears you could only load/unload 8 people at a time of the 32. But if had two rides ops, one for each arm, it could probably go at a reasonable pace.
  23. I think the same. The year will be focused on history for the 150th to a degree and they have confirmed a river expedition attraction. I wouldn't be surprised to see it include the return of the Paddlewheel. I'm guessingthe announcement will be more information on this attraction. Possibly the boat's return and what sort of story and theming it will have.
  24. That was my first thought too. Kind of a next gen concept of it. Looks like these swinging a bit more freely to actually flip around more too so could make a great thrilling ride.
  25. I was thinking the same. Glad its something else as I think that one looks pretty cool. Even though this doens't takes up on a sliver of land it probably does impeded a lot of areas to build with it since it is a long length too so could see it coming out for expansion. Given it was the first major one like that and its age could just be having lots of maintenance problems too and being coming too costly to keep up.
