Not surprised they were gutted. 1 - They aren't going to bring back Days of Thunder despite my love for that thing 2 - The seats are what, 15 years old? They need replaced if they do bring back Days of Thunder, I loved that thing I really liked Days of Thunder, I loved that thing.

Open up the Ballroom on International Street again? The one place in the park I haven't been to yet. I am up in the air about RHoFG personally. I liked the table service, I didn't like having to figure out how to tip when I used the meal plan and my cost was 0. I don't usually carry cash, and I don't want to order something else just to get a bill I can pay with my CC for the tip.

For the longest time the employee cafeteria was the only place you could find hot sauce. It was fun having to sneak all the way back there just to get some sweet spicy pepper sauce. This was like 15 years ago.

Hank's Burrito whatever actually goes surprisingly fat with a crowd. I also found i like the burrito more without the salsa, their "hot" salsa is watery tomatoes and peppers. On that note however, the workers do not care what you ask them to put on the burrito. Want all three meats? A giant bowl of cheese? They will do whatever. It's a massive amount of food

I went mid-day on a Saturday when it was silly crowded, they had 6 registers open. 4 on the left side which is the "main" side and 2 over on the left. I can see why they would remove the FastLane for Drinks line, the Freestyle as awesome as it is, is slow as hell. Don't back up traffic at the new place for people that are theoretically actually spending real money just for people wanting a free drink. If you want a refill go to a refill station, if you want the good stuff, you have to wait. Side note, I am starting to believe that they don't clean their freestyle machine very often, half the time I get a drink out of one it tastes like dirt.

One meat one side is a much better deal. Sometimes I just want mac and cheese. The wings are a bit sad in my opinion though. Even when they just put them out they already tasted dry. Shrimp and Pulled Pork I think are going to be my go-to options. I am really pleased with the shrimp

It sounds like pulled pork and wings aren't "only if the sign is out". Sign was nowhere to be seen when I went this weekend, and wings were on the plan.

I'd like it for smokers, see more of them than jumpers. Line jumping is not a sport at Paramount's Kings Island

Grabbed the Chicken Shack Tenders, very very similar to Island Smokehouse, maybe less peppery.

That is hard to gauge. The last week even on weekdays has been surprisingly busy. On average though I would say expect maybe 15-30 minutes per ride if it keeps up. Even with early ride time Mystic Timbers might still be around a half hour before open to the public. We have a current wait times thread you may want to check out to gauge.

I figured it was a premade sauce, though I assumed Heinz since they appear to be taking over the rest of the park. That is understandable on the smoking, while I don't smoke personally I still think keeping a lid on it will help immensely, it dries out fast sitting out and the moisture is what would carry the smoke smell and flavor through the mouth and nose. \ Thanks for the lesson though it was very informative.

Standard is Tenders and Shrimp only, both of which are kind of unique to the smokehouse. The tenders uses a different breading, and the shrimp really is unique, they do appear to be running specials for wings and pulled pork on occasion as well, which add them to the meal plan for a limited time.

Finally getting around to the Island Smokehouse reviews

My daughter loves that ride, she is barely 36 inches this year and she was riding it last year, though I kind of had to hold her still because she just slides all over the place. As for the measuring thing, I had a similar problem. Doctor measured her at 37, I got just under 37 at home, Kings Island got her right on the line at 36. Wasn't a big deal for us because she still got the rides.
