Are those that already bought Prestige getting the shaft once again?
It is really the only reason I keep the Prestige Pass at this point. I live VERY close to the park, less than a 20 minute drive. My daughter likes to go with me, and we both like Skyline and Coasters. The vast majority of my visits are less than an hour, we pop by, ride 1 coaster with the pass, get food on the way out with the dining plan, stop by VIP for a cookie/chips, and go home. We go probably 3-4 times a week during the summer with exactly that schedule.

The chips have been downgraded in the VIP "Lounge". We now have the option of 3 chips of slightly more than half an ounce. A kids lunch sized portion.

What if the original Phantom Theater emulated a different attraction?
Another alternative idea for opening nightmare could be to kind of discover all the reasons for the rides in a "haunted" manner. Why Mystic Timbers had to be quarantined, why The Beast lives in the forest, the alien stuff for Orion and Outer Limits would be a bit disjointed though.

WinterFest Food Menu
Naughty List chicken Tenders sounds promising. So does the Shepard Pie

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
Can you imagine the amount of power they could provide if they covered the parking lot in panels like the Cincy Zoo.

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
The car for the Outer Limits/Orion area is a really nice feature, the Ghost Hunting Van would work really well.

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
Channel 12 has a story about some of the animatronics. As a side note, I cannot see the Opening 2026 sign and not think "Spongebob Squarepants" https://local12.com/news/entertainment/kings-island-unveils-new-animatronic-characters-upcoming-interactive-dark-ride-collab-collaboration-phantom-theater-opening-nightmare-iaapa-expo-orlando-mason-ohio-cincinnati-family-fun-entertainment-tech-rollercoaster Also Sally Darkrides also has a "Ghost Blasters" which is just BooBlasters but interestingly KI isn't listed as a park location. Please don't make PTON the same dang ride.

How was your ride on Mystic Timbers?
I feel like I'm having a Mandela effect, there was a spider event in addition to tree, snake and bat?

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
That theater scene was my favorite part of the original

WinterFest 2025
I like the winterfest train ride, but I feel having the 12 days of Christmas as the theme and not trying to time it to the lights is a big loss. They have to play like 3 or 4 versions during the entire ride just to have music last the entire ride and only the first day actually matches. A nice ride through a winter village with music would be better, IMHO.

Tower Topics Ideas
It has characters back in Hanna-Barbera Land. You could ride Dino, the Flintstone Car, Foghorn Leghorn, but when it changed to Nickelodeon they took the characters out and kept the name.

Tower Topics Ideas
I want a topic about why the "Character Carousel" is still named that despite not having a single character on the entire ride.

Do You Miss Paper Maps?
Paper cups are not required for water. Water fountains do a fantastic job of allowing people to drink without a container. You are right though, it isn't comparable. One of these things is generally only given once per visit and has a chance to be reused or stored for later. Really though, the park needs recycling something fierce.

Do You Miss Paper Maps?
No, but arguing we shouldn't have physical maps because of the waste is also a drop in the bucket compared to cups. I'll trade paper cups for the maps

Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2025 Discussion
I hate having access to the thing I payed for too! I should just stop enjoying things that I purchased!

Do You Miss Paper Maps?
I miss having maps, and it's hard to argue that they're bad for the environment when you compare to the amount of cups the park just tosses away each day. I'd be happy to pay a nominal fee for one of that helps slow waste, but I also don't want a 20+ dollar "collectors edition" map

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
I'm excited and sceptical at the same time. I get they want interactivity on the ride kids get to feel they are participating. But honestly, I'd prefer an I-Spy ride. Make the ride about how much stuff you can secret into the experience. Granted they could do both, and I hope they do. Make each ride a little different by unlocking things you missed with the flashlight. But don't make the ride generic blast everything and nothing new happens

What is the Capacity of Each Coaster’s Full Que?
I know the idea I've heard is that each switchback is supposedly an estimated amount of time, which is effectively an amount of people, so there has to be a number

Ride Wait Times 2025
My kids have been in line/on car for the antique cars for over an hour. A full line, overflowing into the walk way, 1 person delivering cars. This is a joke. Brewhouse has so many orders in the kitchen they ran out of buzzers and the line is still out the door. It's the last friday of regular summer hours, on a holiday weekend and they're seemingly running half staff

Kings Island 2025 Food Reviews and Discussion
A documentary back in the day I watched would probably call it "faux-que". BBQ sauce with a smoke marinate, cooked delicately with care for 2 hours, then placed under a heat lamp for 9 hours for you to dehydrate your mouth.

BooKoaster - A Boo Blasters Replacement
The building is too small do to a fancy dark ride like the Mickey and Minnie runaway railway Hollywood Studios. But that would work well I think. Keeping in the same vein as Phantom Theatre and Boo Blasters, but more dynamic and easier to maintain I think as it's most lights and not animatronics.

Tricks & Treats 2025 Discussions
I really liked the Tricks and Treats event when they had it in Soak City. Granted I understand from a logistics POV that's a huge thing for staying to cover an entire extra section of the park. But really when they moved it over to kiddie land, everything just got smaller and smaller and more crowded. I wish they'd expand the treat areas to the entire park like a scavenger hunt.

Kings Island Halloween Haunt 2025 Discussion
It's an upcharge that will see no benefit to the customers. I can say with near certainly that even with the increase in revenue the mazes will at best be as staffed as last year, probably fewer roaming actors, and yes the line to guest services will be giant. The amount of kids I see chatting with security about the escort curfew rule is impressive, almost none of the park goers will know this change exists. But I, like another poster said, keep paying knowing this is unethical, but I personal do my best to keep the profit they get off me to a minimum. But even with that, this is getting ridiculous. I can see the park lawyers cheering in the streets when one of them thought up "passes get you to haunt, but the maxed aren't The Haunt, they are just part of it". I'm waiting for next year when the passes we pay 300+ bucks for gets us into the park and the rides start to cost 3-5 tickets per person like a carnival.

Kings Island General Discussion 2025
Is white water canyon super busted? Rode by in the train today and it was completely drained.
