Graeters to debut Beast Feast Ice Cream
How do we know what The Beast would like? Maybe he enjoys cookie dough and sprinkles. Maybe The Beast would want some whimsy too. Just a misunderstood guy trying to find some happiness too other than the darkness

Carowinds adding adult only pool area and swim up bar
I mean. If they built the swim up bar/adult pool near the power lines they could call it "Electric Eeel Lounge"

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
Well. No way I would have known. I've never been. I was just making a jest anyway...

Carowinds adding adult only pool area and swim up bar
I could see something like this coming to KI/SC eventually. But I could also see them maybe trying something like Zumbezi Bay doing a 21+ event at night depending on how this merger sees fit in broadening their audiences.

The Cicadas
My immediate thought wasn't Outpost 5. It was Johnny 5 from Short Circuit

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
The "behind the scenes" of each bar within the park. Watch the delivery trucks unload the stock into the warehouse and see where it's stored. The lanyards would have little kegs attached to them. "Boozestock 2026". Might even get to work a shift at no extra charge!

The Cicadas
Might as well make those 5 minutes of being alive count for something!

Dates/Times for Shows
Thanks so much! That is one thing that I wish the app/main website were better at being transparent about.

Kings Island General Discussion 2025
I'm not really sure what to expect in there if they are actually using the old TRTR building. I imagine a flat ride of some kind, but it would be rad if they put some kind of small wild-mouse type coaster in there kind of like The Dark Knight coasters at the Six parks. Either way, that building having a new lease on life would be really great. It would offer some relief from the summer heat/colder/rainier days for one, but also waken up a dead space in the park. Excited to see if this chalks up to anything good.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
I never said anything about the physical installation. I said DESIGN. And honestly they could probably contract installers for cheaper than paying in-house folks.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge
They will probably just chuck everything into an AI program and have it do all the design work... And I might be wrong but it sure seems like this is a running theme in a lot of industries. People are losing their jobs to AI. I am not confirming this to be the case here, but it would not surprise me at all.

Any current photos of the Coney site since demolition?
I imagine an opportunity to see the grounds will be for the Cincinnati Summerfair that will be taking place May 30th-June 1st. When I saw the billboard for this and seeing where it was being held my jaw dropped. It seems odd that any events would even be taking place there seeing as there is literally nothing left. I drive past it every day going home from work. If there is anything worth seeing it would require entry onto the grounds because all that can be seen going past it are the old entry ways and a slab of concrete that was once a pool with a fence blocking it off mostly. It's surreal to think that once upon a time this park used to be the cause of so many people's excitement upon driving up to the gates. Now we drive past it and see the hollow remains of memories past.

Anyone for a new water ride?
Agreed. I know KI has devolved into a family park as that fits their demographic they are marketing into these days, but the "family ride" fatigue is real. It's time for something with some teeth for the thrill seekers.

Merchandise Of KI Rides You Would Like To See More Of!
I also think a cute little orange and black bat plushie with the log on it would be both fun and adorable! And I'll say this again. Non-ride related but park humor related, if Cedar Point can capitalize on their seagulls with t-shirts and plushies, why can't KI have Canadian goose plushies with the KI logo on them? I know they made a sticker, but common guys!

Pantherian at KD not opening until summer
It is well known that ancient cats need more time to sleep. Especially after all those years of tireless driving for NASCAR!

Merchandise Of KI Rides You Would Like To See More Of!
They are seriously sleeping on Bat merch. The colors and logo are fun and I wish there were more options available.

Best KI Area?
IS for me. Nothing beats sitting by the fountains with a cold beverage and a meal/snack, kicking up my feet and taking it all in. As much as I love all the riding and fun, I've learned to appreciate slowing down and just taking in the moment. IS offers the perfect spot for just that.

Has Kings Island Peaked?
My big observation is that due to the parks consolidating and being under the same company umbrella for nearly 20 years now ( which typing that feels so weird knowing that much time has passed already ), this eliminated the need to really compete the way the parks did prior to the CF buyout. Before the buyout you had Cedar Point being under CF and Kings Island under Paramount with Geauga Lake turning into a Six park for a brief period. Having three powerhouse chains in one state really made for healthy competition and forced the chains/parks to really push and innovate more. Granted yes, these earlier innovations and technologies have not all stood the test of time, but the point is, things were different because there was a true fight for the consumer dollar and therefore that created an atmosphere of who could build the biggest, baddest or most unique attraction. Since KI and CP have been sibling for nearly two decades now and GL being demo'ed, that really changed the need to do any of those things as fiercely. Not to mention the industry as a whole has taken a different approach to how they build/invest. I can't lie and say that I don't miss certain aspects about KI and the amusement industry as a whole from my early coaster riding days. It was a much different world at large when I was a teenager and going to parks definitely had a different feel to them than they do now. It can be both that KI has matured in some aspects in a positive light and also be missed as a park who innovated and broke records outside of themselves. Two things can be true at the same time.

Kings Island General Discussion 2025
I'm used to seeing the brown train sitting on the transfer tracks when they do 2-train ops. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the brown train normally gives one of the more "rattly" rides of the three IMO. I can remember this as far back as when Diamondback was brand new. I rode it religiously it's opening year and the preceding years and my memory always goes to the brown train giving a more shaky ride experience. Last year I think was the first time I can recall it not being as bad as it normally is. Again, just my opinion. Others may feel differently than myself.

Kings Island to add “family thrill” attraction in 2026
Shhhh don't give them any ideas! Bars have been popping up around the park like Dollar Generals!

Sharing your Vortex Memories
Six years of silence. No rattly structure. No screams of fear/pain () No Arrow looper lift hill sounds. No visually stunning graceful loops to sit and watch. Just a big empty field with a wooden fence surrounding countless memories and a void that can still be felt. The park still feels less complete without our old friend.

Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor To Close After 2025.
I know the fate of these coasters seems pretty bleak as a whole, but as an optimist it would be great to see a few of them get a new home. Imagine Ride of Steel going to say, Michigan's Adventure. I know it's a huge structure but it would be a massive hit up there. The SLC I could see possibly being sold and picked up by a smaller park. Somewhere like Indiana Beach would be a great park for one of those to go. I know Firebird will more than likely be a goner, but I can mourn it since it is historic as well as iconic to 90's kids who remember a certain movie in which it was featured in. And well, Batwing, that's basically a given. I've heard it had terrible down time and these older Vekoma Flying Dutchmans are becoming extinct as we know it. Sad because this is a X-Flight/Firehawk clone and again a sentimental type ride. But yeah. This merger has seen a lot of carnage and hardly any formal announcements to say goodbye. I'm glad they're doing the right thing by announcing this now so people can get in their last rides and visits. I hope people document everything before it's just a flicker of the past. It might not be the best park in the chain but as always, every ride and every park holds a special place in someone's heart.
