Potential 4th/5th coaster for Planet Snoopy?
- Top Thrill Dragster Incident
It’s all about chances. Cedar Fair gave Intamin plenty of chances to show their reliability and they failed to do so: Maverick and I305 had to be redesigned after their initial layouts were constructed, Shoot the Rapids was removed after its accident, TTD’s accident was a PR nightmare for the park. It seems like it was one thing after another. It’s a shame because Intamin produces fun rides but they’re maintenance nightmares when you get down to it. I haven’t heard anything negative about Pantheon or Velocicoaster so maybe they figured it out but nevertheless, they left some scars on Cedar Fair. Who knows, Zamperla might end up the same way but we don’t know until the product is finished. We saw Cedar Fair take a chance on RMC and their additions have been prone to maintenance issues ever since; I believe the original Wonder Woman raptor is undergoing some changes but I could be wrong. These are interesting times in the roller coaster world.- Top Thrill Dragster Incident
So many people are getting triggered over Zamperla and I’m loving it- Potential Surf

It’s curious that they’re sticking with a racing theme- How will Disney be remembered by younger generations?
I was born in the late 90s towards the end of the Disney Renaissance so needless to say I grew up with a ton of great 90s films and remember watching older films that have since been seen to have controversial elements: Dumdo, Peter Pan, etc. Since then there have been studio acquisitions and remakes galore; not to mention the closure of most Disney Stores across the world. With all this said, the question has to be asked: “how will younger generations remember Disney?”- The Amusement Park Railroad Thread
I’ve never been at the park to witness this, I honestly wish they did more of it:- Potential 4th/5th coaster for Planet Snoopy?
A wild mouse would also be cool but I’m not sure we’d get one since CP has one- maybe if it didn’t spin.- New Phantom Theater Encore Merch (TAKE MY MONEY)

They were being painted iirc- Wolfpack building activity
Probably more along the lines of “it’s safe to get whatever props are leftover can be placed in a storage building or taken to another Haunt maze.” It’s not like the building is going to collapse by the end of the week and they’re running against the clock before the floor caves in beneath their feet.- Something about a Kings Island getting a Parade?
Are there any parades this year or is it just for Winterfest?- Wolfpack building activity
It might’ve just been a timing thing. I’m sure there’s a lot of projects around the park that they’ve wanted to get done that have been placed on the back burner for some time. Maybe someone finally decided that they were tired of looking at an old building that hadn’t been really used for years.- Wolfpack building activity
Considering it’s been talked about a few times on here and people have been posting pictures and videos on KI related social media pages, I thought I’d mention it on here that it does indeed look like there is activity in the Wolfpack building. I’m not sure how to share footage from Facebook but on Kings Island Uncensored, they had the lights on and were working when it was darker out. I assume it’s being gutted by staff for removal but nothing has been confirmed by the park. Edit: I was able to find a link: https://m.facebook.com/groups/kingsislanduncensored/permalink/1468539920635173/?mibextid=l2pjGR- What’s one practical attraction you wouldn’t mind having two of?
I think a “grown up” version of Woodstock Whirlybirds would be cool but maybe in the form of a people mover for grandparents to ride with their grandkids through different scenes. Basically I want to copy Magic Kingdom’s People Mover and have it run through A72- What’s one practical attraction you wouldn’t mind having two of?
It’s not impossible to find two of the same attraction at parks around the globe, we saw this with the Antique Cars behind the Eiffel Tower as well as when Cedar Point used to have two car rides, two Dumbo rides at Magic Kingdom, you get the idea… What is one ride that would be a practical candidate for duplicating on a similar scale? My immediate thought went to the Flying Eagles.- Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular
I missed seeing this. It would be cool if it was brought back somehow in a bigger way- New Coaster 2024?
Given that it sat as a haunt building for nearly as long as it was a former station, I don’t read much into stuff like that anymore. If anything the building might open back up for haunt or it’s used for some type of storage.- So many possible projects, where does the park even start?
Water parks are kinda tricky in my opinion for a number of reasons: Competition (or lack there of): Soak City doesn’t really have any immediate competition if you think about it. Sure you have Great Wolf Lodge next-door, Land of Illusion not too far away, then you have Coney Island, which is 20 miles away, but those don’t necessarily pull people away from KI. Climate: This is a hit or miss with all seasonal attractions but it weather can have a longer negative impact considering most water parks in the Midwest are only open 3-4 months out of the year. Capacity: Depending on the attraction, you will almost always see inferior capacity when compared to dry park attractions. Most slides only allow one rider at a time (unless it’s a tube slide) which can increase wait times for guests. Now none of this is to say that you can’t invest in your waterpark, but I think additions have to address the issues I listed above: low investment, not limited to weather, and high capacity. Multi-level play structures seem like a safe investment considering they check off all the boxes I mentioned previously. In addition I don’t think it would necessarily hurt to have two “lazy rivers” in a water park.- Top Thrill Dragster Incident
- Worlds of "Fun"?
@IBEW_Sparky, I’ve never been to WoF and would definitely go if I was in the KC area…that being said it doesn’t seem like a “must visit” park. I appreciate their want to preserve their history and keep their steam engine going but from an amusement park standpoint it doesn’t seem to have the same affect as other parks in the Midwest. Then I see stuff like this be fans and it confuses me:- New Coaster 2024?
I said this a while ago but it was a missed opportunity IMO not to rebrand Invertigo to Screamin Demon when they rebranded Flight Deck to The Bat and debuted Banshee in 2014. A repaint wouldn’t have been necessary considering some of the old Demon logo was blue-ish:- The official "Bring the Flying Eagles home" thread.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but it’s just trolling at this point. Several threads have been derailed preaching of a CP over KI supremacy. Instead of contributing and having meaningful conversations, it’s just a rehash of the same rant that’s been going on for years. Some people just can’t help themselves and want all the attention, which is unfortunately what we’re giving into as we speak.- Paramount vs. Cedar Fair
