  1. No, they are probably trying to do that for all Cedar Fair parks. Busch Gardens Tampa even has one.
  2. Is it me or does it look like there is a big chunk missing in DB's lift hill?
  3. Uhh. I still see the old crappy Invertigo. Suggestions? Just Downloaded Google Earth
  4. This will also bring a tear to your eye. Thank you Coasterbob62
  5. You could be right. I just pulled the dates off of wikipedia which is the most accurate for dates as I could find.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kings_Island
  6. Just a fun little poll on how much you guys know about Kings Island from 1970-now. Im saying 1970 because that's when park construction began.
  7. I was not satisfied with most of their perks. I think they should have more benefits, even though they have a ton already, for levels 1-2
  8. A new area might eventually lead to a giga but I don't believe it will happen anytime soon. Now if KI was set up like Canada's Wonderland, the situation would be a little bit more ideal seeing that they just put in a giga 4 years after their hyper was built.
  9. Oh how could I forget, The distant sound of Drop Tower from the far side of the parking lot.
  10. I hope the people who take down the wood have protective gloves.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwoMq6JPQ_U
  11. Great Pics! I never really realized how close SOB was to Firehawk. Action Zone expansion Baby!! (also, X-Base possibly becoming its own section as well)
  12. In my opinion ,besides the stores changing, don't add, change or demolish anything on international street. Leave the buildings there, leave the Eiffel Tower there, leave the fountains there, get rid of the animatronic dinosaur for God sake and make International street look like it did in the good old days so younger people, like me as well as many others, can see what the old KI looked like.
  13. Scenery change but not really much.
  14. 1.)DB's first Drop 2.)Firehawk's chain lift 3.)Train whistle, bell and chugging 4.)FOF's soundtrack 5.)background audio/announcements 6.)BLST's soundtrack as well as all the noise that goes on throughout the ride 7.)Water splashing at Soak City 8.)Fireworks 9.)Beast's chain lifts 10.)the rumble of Adventure Express around the sharp turns
  15. Pretty neat. Only problems: year round gondolas when the park is open for half a year and enthusiasts getting upset of having that instead of a new coaster.
  16. Don't change the gate. I like it just the way it is: untouched
  17. I was on KI's facebook page and I decided to look at the pictures and I saw 3 uploaded pics of a motorcycle with no caption. So then I looked at the person who uploaded it's profile and I was SHOCKED. Apparently, this person, has an umm "sexual" page on facebook and has decided to post harmless pics on KI's facebook page in order to get free publicity. NOT for little kids. I hope that person gets banned from Facebook for life. And I'm surprised he hasn't gotten arrested yet even though they discovered a loophole.
  18. I believe the prices will go down about half if they start to sell the plaques in the park during the 2013 season.
  19. Thanks!! we'll try that if we get a chance.
  20. For me being the oldest in our family, you'd think I'd want spend my Friday at a high school football game but unfortunately, my team was away at Fairfield so I went to parky's farm with my family. Parky's Farm has been my favorite place to go ever since I was a kid so I didn't really mind going. The weather was pretty decent with no wind or rain which signaled for a great night. We arrived at the farm and I realized that they jacked up the prices from $5 to $6 but it didn't really make much difference. It was still pretty light when we entered the farm but that didn't damper the Halloween festivities. They had a petting zoo where you could ride ponies and hand feed goats, sheep, alpacas and donkeys for $1. Then we went to this pretty sweet major mirror on the wall that talked to us, (obviously with a guy on the other side of the wall), and gave us candy as well as this fortune teller. After that, it was off for an old-fashioned style hayride in an antique tractor. We traveled into the lighted forest filled with inflatable monsters, lights, fake houses, etc. The ride took a while but it was pretty entertaining seeing all the lights and all the effort that the Hamilton County Park District put into stringing the lights. After that we went into the "creepy critters" barn with various farm animals. Then we walked into the fun house and called it a night. There was one change, however, to the farm. The theater used to occupy a magical magician that was by far my favorite thing there when I was a kid but instead, they played old Casper episodes which kinda bummed me out. All in all it was a great night! Please visit one night if you haven't gone yet because it is a must do family attraction!
  21. Finally!! Thanks you, Craig, for keeping the Peanuts alive!!
  22. Since Six Flags debuted X-Flight in 2012 and Cedar Point is building the wing coaster Gatekeeper for 2013, will there be more wing coasters across the U.S in years to come or will the trend die out after CP's Gatekeeper finished? Sonofbaconador celebrating his 200th post!
  23. Where was mine? Just kidding
