Defunct themeparks
I'm going to go with Six Flags New Orleans..... I just really feel sad everytime I drive by it.... ..... A staple in the New Orleans skyline, slowly and sadly crumbling down from the sky. I have a feeling that the screams of Jazzland wont be heard again.....

Carowinds will be investing $50 million in the next three years!
Wow! Nice progress today! I didn't watch the cams at all because generally construction crews have Sunday off, or at least, when building coasters, it seems that they always do. The time schedule for Fury 325 erection must be very strict.

A tension cord has now been put into place on the current support column being worked on for extra support as the crews work into the evening. More pieces to this column are currently being brought quickly to the site in what looks like an effort to be able to finish early tomorrow morning / Monday morning. Still image captured from the Carowinds Fury325 Construction Cam EDIT: The font above the photo should be more eye-friendly now, Thanks for letting me know!

TOP GUN
"You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run" .....I keep hearing that in my head as I ponder through the pages of this gone but hopefully not forgotten topic..... ....Can I have a Snicker's bar now?.....I think I'll go ahead and bite in.....Slowly and carefully.... ...Have fun folks...

It has been an interesting day for watching Fury325 construction as the tallest support column section is currently being installed which means that Monday or Tuesday, the coaster may very well be topped off at its peak height of 325 ft.

Kings Island adding two rides and other improvements for 2015
Looks like Dorney Park has received parts for their set of Larson Scooters, called the Cedar Creek Eagles, and they are now sitting in the parking lot. NewsPlusNotes I wonder if KI has received pieces of Woodstock Gliders yet?....

Thunderbird has launched!
Although I do understand that it's a privilege to be invited to such events..... I was wondering if there's been any word yet on whether "coaster clubs" will be invited to the Thunderbird Media Day event?

Cedar Point's Good Time Theatre to be removed
Well......This is kinda sad... Mostly because, for some strange reason, I've always loved the look of the outside of it. I'm not sure why but something about the design of the outside of the building really always gets me..... Seriously.

Week IV: Best Cedar Fair (Owned) Kings Island Addition
What Cedar Fair addition has probably benefited the park the most? Probably Diamondback. What addition benefited me the most and made me the most pleased? Banshee, by a long shot......Although second probably goes to the Coney Mall pavers that were put in. ...I can't speak of the Woodstock Gliders yet though....... ....Lets just say it's too early....

Next New Ride?
Even in the flat ride world..... ....The was something different about TRTR / The Crypt..... .....Hmmmm..... I wonder where THAT went....
-
Next New Ride?
Couldn't agree more..... ....I'm feeling like I have about 2 dozen donuts telling me that B&M will return....
-
Next New Ride?
Although many on this very site, especially as Banshee footings were being poured, discussed their desire for a certain coaster at the park, not until now do I see that coaster actually potentially in the park's future..... I have been thinking about this lately..... Look at the parks in the Cedar Fair chain that have and are currently installing giga-coasters..... I'm going to throw a possibility out there that maybe as a next coaster, Cedar Fair could very well be considering installing a giga-coaster at Kings Island. Ouimet must see potential in the installation of giga-coasters at the parks, especially based on what's going on at Carowinds, and really, I wouldn't be suprised at all to see, as a next move, the FUN shift towards a giga-coaster of some sort for KI's next coaster. I'm not jumping on a "giga-coaster" bandwagon, I'm just now stating some thoughts on what the next coaster at KI may just be. Just some thoughts. FUN in the future....... Oh Yeah.... "The future is riding on it."..........
