Sparsely scattering a few gravestones under the ride and building a station that looks like a church doesn't make a ride well themed. Adding fog, tunnels, theatrical lights, and props make an immersive ride.

A tidbit about shows: if you are interested in seeing them up close and/or with little wait, you might want to invest in the QBot. QBot is Dollywood's version of Fast Lane except it is integrated far better in my opinion. It allows not only for faster coaster lines but also for great reserved seating for shows.

IIRC, if Kings Island takes someone's idea the person in question could come back looking for money for "their" idea. KI wants to avoid any kind of trouble they can. Don't quote me on that, though.

Oh boy.There are two things wrong with your thesis. 1. Cedar Point is NOT running out of room. They still have a lot of room left for expansion. Consult Google Earth for more information. 2. Disaster Transport was a mediocre ride located in a hot and ugly building. There was nothing classic or beautiful about it.

A shootout probably would not go over well in this day and age. This ain't the '70s. If we allow it in movies, theater, and other amusement parks, why can't we allow it around the KI&MVRR?

I'd rather Kings Island not become anything like Cedar Point. Nothing against Cedar Point, but the atmosphere is so much more welcoming at Kings Island than it is up north. There are certain rides at Kings Island that are far superior than Cedar Point versions as well. There is just far too much about Kings Island that I would hate to change to emulate a lesser product in my opinion.

Are we talking about the same area? The area the OP in this topic is referring to is over near WindSeeker/DA. I think lopan's photos are over near where Son of Beast used to be, as indicated by him referring to it as the "old safari area."

That image is several years old. I would not be surprised to find that most of what you see in the picture is no longer at the park.

Pilgrim's Plunge is also not located in Ohio.

They would actually be the world's highest go-karts.

I think it'd be cool to see somewhere around the ride. It'd give the ride a darker connotation, which could be helpful if the rumored Fear Zone is to come to fruition.

Right. But you posted videos comparing 2007 to 2009. If you notice, the ride cycle is the same in 2009 as it is now. Unless you can find another video showing the ride in 2011 or beyond, I stand by my belief that the ride cycle has not changed since at least 2009.

Sorry, but Zoom Flume is an awful name. I'm not calling it that.

My favorite is Snowy River Rampage because of how long it is as well as the numerous "rapids" that bump the raft along the way.
