Guests Say The Darnest Things
No, this is Patrick. But in all seriousness, I once heard someone who insisted they rode the Batman ride at Kings Island that killed a bunch of people. I decided that convincing them that nobody ever died was a losing battle, so I tried to inform them that Six Flags owns the Batman license. They then insisted that Six Flags used to own Kings Island... Though there ARE six flags atop the Coney Mall arch...

If you are referring to the drawing that was in the county records, then I disagree. Official documents and a ground marker are totally different things. One you can fake, which happened, and one is official for a reason. They aren't going to fake documents filed with the county just to throw us off. If you were referring to the drawing of the little kid at coasterbuzz, then yes I do not believe that drawing. I was referring to the one from the little kid. If county records showed up, I'd have to believe those.

What if someone were to film a video, showing a newspaper dated today on the camera, and show WindSeeker running, with passengers, in the background? If cited, would this be suitable? Or if, perhaps, we could somehow get Don to confirm via the park's official Twitter that the ride is up and running?

And until it is built, I wouldn't believe that drawing for a minute. Consider this: http://www.thecoastercritic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/wpid-20110722154402.jpg which showed up at Carowinds a couple years ago. It pointed STRONGLY to a HUSS Giant Frisbee. What they got was a WindSeeker. Quite different.

Riders stuck on Beast for 10 minutes...
I would assume that on a cell phone, it would connect you to the 911 service that would serve the area in which the tower resides. Especially on a non-smartphone that doesn't have GPS.

They also share nearly nothing in common with one another. From what I've seen, the one B&M Giga that exists kinda just looks like a B&M Hyper, only taller. *Making the faulty assumption of B&M Giga. Anything else, and it should not interfere with Diamondback's popularity at all.

Hate to bring up an old point of discussion, but I don't really think the type of ride impacts the color a great deal. Oh, wait. It's a Cedar Fair ride. So one thing's for sure. If it IS a coaster, it will most definitely be light blue. Were this being built two years ago, it would almost certainly be red. Just my $0.02 on the color debate. Now for the ride/attraction itself, we know one thing about it. Considering where it's being built, Cedar Fair wants to impress the heck out of us so we forget ol' what's-his-face that used to live there. And when they had to take out another significant failure (The Bat), they graced us with the ride that, in my humble opinion, is the finest steel coaster to have ever graced us with its presence. Others, I'm sure will disagree, but as you can safely guess by my avatar, Vortex and Flight Deck (both products that are directly related to The Bat in some way) are among my favorite coasters ever. In fact the only ride I've ever ridden that I enjoy more than Vortex is made of wood, and stands 110 feet tall and just a few dozen yards directly south of my beloved Vortex.

Actually, the last attendance figures I saw put Cedar Point and KI at around the same yearly attendance. CP runs a slightly shorter season, but not by much. Take that for whatever it's worth.

You know, the legend is that the scream of a Banshee signifies the death of a family member. Well, we recently witnessed the death of a member in the only coaster "family" at Kings Island. Furthermore, if this is a coaster, and is B&M, then it will surely have the trademark B&M "roar", as well as screaming riders. Boom. Potential Banshee name justified.

KI 5-18-13
Today being a Saturday, you'll see substantially longer waits than on a weekday. Sundays are a bit better.

And Faceoff/Invertigo's original colors and are Delirium's colors, as well as being present on Drop Tower. But I suppose your "etc" probably covered that.

I rode Backlot at around 10:15 AM this morning. Definitely NOT SBNO. Or I'm just really, really special and they opened it just for me. But it's probably the former.

Most Embarrasing Thing That Happened To You At KI
More embarrassing to myself than anyone else, but at one point, I was at the park alone, getting in line for 5-1 on Vortex as I often do, and so I go to put my stuff in the bin and I come back and another single rider has taken the other seat. Which I didn't mind one bit. So I realize that this lady is wearing a Linux T-shirt. Linux, for those who don't know, is a semi-obscure computer operating system that a lot of nerds (like myself) enjoy using. Oh, and did I mention that this young lady was drop-dead gorgeous and we WERE both single riders? The embarrassing thing, of course, is that I didn't seize an opportunity to talk to a pretty girl (and likely a single one too, as she was a single rider) who enjoys Linux and 5-1 on Vortex while she was literally strapped to a chair next to me. Well, that last sentence could have been worded a WHOLE lot less creepily...

Probably the exception rather than the rule, but in the two consecutive days I spent at Cedar Point, Millennium Force broke down 3 times for at least an hour each time. Two of these breakdowns occurred while I was in line for it. From talking to another KIC'er who happened to be in line in front of me, apparently Millie had valleyed above Dinosaurs Alive just the day before. Reliability indeed.

Which Coaster needs a paint job?
I think White Water Canyon needs paint most of all... But actually, I think Vortex's supports are fine. Her rails, however... Those could use some work. They look sunflower yellow these days, and they're supposed to be a vivid Orange.

Cedar Point and Bad Knees
I'm going to assume Corkscrew and Iron Dragon use the same trains as Vortex and Flight Deck, respectively? If so, no worries, I ALWAYS ride either 5-1 or 1-1 on Arrows with that style trains. Also, I'm spending two days in the park, and he is only spending one, so I have Tuesday to ride everything he can't

Cedar Point and Bad Knees
So on Monday, my dad is going with me to Cedar Point and from time to time his knees act up. He doesn't mind any coasters (He thought Dragster looked fun) but he doesn't want to ride any that might bother his knees. Obviously this rules out Mantis. I can't think of any others that may be hard on the knees. In fact, the only reason I can think of that a coaster would be (besides standup coasters) is that it has very small trains. Are there any rides that he should avoid (other than Mantis) in order to avoid upsetting his knees?

No way on God's green earth they will build a wooden coaster on that particular plot of land. They're trying to make us forget Son of Beast, and if they built a woodie there, the GP would confuse it for Son of Beast, declare that it killed people, got stuck in the loop and is sinking, and therefore refuse to ride it.

We have that. It's called Vortex. Now I have to wonder, IF what we got were to end up being a nice loopy B&M Invert, would that spell the inevitable doom for my beloved Vortex, or would it still have "its place" in the coaster lineup?

Starting to Decode 2014
This might be linguistic enthusiast nitpicking, but once you put in an inversion, doesn't it cease to be a giga coaster? That tends to be the rule of thumb with hypers/megas, so I assume it applies to gigas too.

I thought this was odd...
I was able to use my 2011 KI cup at Carowinds in 2012. Of course, both the 2011 KI cups and the 2012 Carowinds cups were light blue WindSeeker cups, so that may have played a part.

National geographic mess up
Well, the ride immediately adjacent to what he referred to as "The Beast" is around 20 years old. In fact, both of them are.

Saturdays/Sundays in May
Sundays aren't too bad, especially in the evenings. Weekdays are much, much better, but they aren't always possible for everyone. If you can make it on a weekday without too much inconvenience, I'd HIGHLY recommend that over weekends any time.

Pass upgrade procedure
Ultimately, we decided on a 3 night, 2 day stay at Breakers. I'll be spending 2 days in the park and my dad is going on a fishing Charter on Lake Erie the second day. Also, if any KICers will be at CP on Tuesday, May 14th, I have no riding buddy (which is fine, I spent a day alone at Carowinds last summer and LOVED it).

You still get the link in your post, try to just blot it out. Thanks again. I just de-linked it.
