Season Pass Sale for 2017.
Yikes! The FunPix attendant also replaced my pass on Sunday. Hopefully it works next time I go to the park. It worked fine when I added it to the Kings Island app just now, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Funpix
Nope. When VortexBFForever and I were trying to get our first photo (I did ride with her once) on Sunday and found that the new photos were not showing up, I spotted one photo among the most recent being displayed where a rider was very clearly flipping off the camera.

No, but I didn't look closely. I just spotted the retro pins and snapped the picture.

What is the price of slingshot throughout the day? Would you recommend riding slingshot if you have never ridden it before?
I love Xtreme Skyflyer. It's really the only ride in the park that still gives me a true adrenaline rush. As for being scared, yes, being hoisted 15 or so stories into the air with only the harness supporting you is scary, and having to pull the ripcord yourself can be terrifying, but know that Skycoasters (the ride model) have a perfect safety record. It's a unique feeling that you can't get from any other ride in the park, and more than worth the typical morning price of $5 (like Sling Shot, the price goes up as the day goes on, but you can buy in the morning and wait to ride until later that day).

LOL! Unfortunately, I don't think it does.

Opinions on this ride tend to be divided. Some say it's a scary/great ride, others say it's the most boring ride in the park. Me? I'm in the latter category. I rode it once, by myself (several years ago, before the mandatory two-person rule was put in place). My reaction afterward was "why did I just waste $10 on this piece of crap?" I think the issue that divides opinions like that is that it is the fastest ride in the park (over 100 mph), but you are facing the sky while accelerating to that speed, and thus have no reference points with which to judge your speed and realize how fast you are going. Some people enjoy the G-forces of the acceleration and trying to flip the ball over, while others... just don't. Regardless, as with any ride, I encourage you to not let other people's negative opinions keep you from riding it for yourself. Different people like different things when it comes to thrills, and you might like it even when a few people on an Internet message board tell you that it's a terrible ride.

Rain? Thunderstorms? On Sunday? Can I please schedule one thunderstorm to hit the park at approximately 1:00 PM Sunday afternoon, briefly drench everything, and shut down rides for about 45 minutes? I think that would be enough to drive the masses out of the park (or keep them from showing up) for the rest of the day so we can marathon Mystic Timbers.

Hence why I put that in my signature on here last spring/summer when the construction speculation was running rampant. It may be there to stay (though not necessarily in as large of a font).

What to expect on Opening Day at KI for the 2017 season
So having had very little experience with the new toll booths last year (and all of that experience right after tolls opened for the day), what happens if a non-passholder accidentally ends up in a yellow lane?

Visiting next month, but scared.....
I have no idea what the fit is like on Surf Dog, as I've never seen anyone talk about it in that regard, but do be aware that similar to Viking Fury, Surf Dog uses one shared lap bar per row. This is especially a problem because the lap bar looks like it is a separate bar per seat, but it isn't. This often leads to little kids slamming the lap bar down hard and inflicting substantial pain on the largest adult in the row, who just got massively stapled, sometimes to the point of cutting off circulation in their legs. Sometimes the ride ops will release and re-lock the lap bar in that situation (with a reminder to the kids to let the adults position the bar themselves), and sometimes they won't and you'll have to tough it out. While my legs are not very large, I have been that adult once or twice and it is not fun when it happens.

Meal Deals, and meal deals
This. Instead of designating a limited selection for the dining plan and forcing us to pay full price if we want something else, why not just set it up so that the plan offers $X credit toward any meal of our choice? I think they'd actually end up with more money that way, because as it is (based on my observations of KIC groups over the past few seasons), dining plan guests typically stick entirely to the designated plan options, so the park never sees another penny from them. But let us pay the difference in cost for a fancier meal, and I think a lot of dining plan guests won't think twice about plopping down an extra two bucks per person for the pulled pork on each visit. Bonus round: knowing that they can milk dining plan guests for more money also gives them an incentive to improve the food service and quality so that those guests keep coming back, instead of the current situation where they know they won't get any more money, so they don't even try.

ERT hasn't been an hour for several years. The Season Pass Benefits page on the KI website says it's 30 minutes this season, just like the past several seasons.

Visiting next month, but scared.....
Welcome to KIC! As for the rides you mentioned: Congo Falls should certainly be fine for you; it has simple bench seats and no restraints at all. The log flume also should be fine with no restraints, but the width of the log might present a small issue. You could probably squeeze in, but with your weight and size, I wouldn't recommend riding with more than two other people. Rounding out the water rides, White Water Canyon is likely fine; it uses stretchy seat belts that cover two adjacent seats per belt. You might have to take up both of those seats at once, but I've seen large people do that with no issues. Viking Fury might be an issue; one, I'm not sure how far the lap bar needs to be down to be considered locked, and two, it's a community lap bar that you share with other people in your row as well, so once it comes down and hits you, the amount of space between the kid next to you and the lap bar might be a problem (I don't know their rules on that, or if they even have such a rule). As for other rides, Drop Tower is a no-go for you. Delirium and WindSeeker are likely also too tight. Most of the small Coney flats (Scrambler, Monster, Dodgem, and Shake, Rattle, & Roll) are probably OK, though I doubt you could fit on Zephyr. And finally, Boo Blasters will be fine. If you're concerned about a "walk of shame" (the common term in the enthusiast community for having to leave a ride because you couldn't fit into the restraints), know that some rides have test seats outside the entrance, and on all other rides, you can approach the exit and ask to test-fit a seat between ride cycles prior to waiting in line. I hope you and your daughter have fun, and good luck on losing weight!

Kings Island 2017 Discussion Thread
As a note on pass processing hours: In past years, on days when the park is open, the advertised pass processing hours have always matched the park operating hours, as they do here. But despite that, pass processing has generally opened at the same time as ticket sales on such days, which is typically when the parking lot itself opens, an hour to an hour and a half before the time listed on the schedule. While it's not guaranteed that this will be the case this year, it seems like a safe assumption. That said, pass processing lines on opening day can be, barring a new coaster, among the longest lines in the park, and the same will likely be true about preview day as well this year. So it is still a good idea to process in advance to beat the massive crowds who didn't.

RMC track at KD
Night owls have a different definition of night. I consider 10:51 PM to be "evening". "Night", for me, is usually around 2 to 4 AM.

The Beast vs Mystic Timbers
I should clarify my previous post by stating that I am not particularly a fan of The Beast. I find it to not really be worth riding during the day, and while I do enjoy it at night, even then it's not a must-ride for me (and there are limits as to how long I will wait). So Mystic Timbers doesn't exactly have to be the greatest coaster ever to blow away The Beast for me.

The Beast vs Mystic Timbers
I think Mystic Timbers is going to blow The Beast away, both during the day and at night. (I can hear Terpy now warning me about "anticipointment". Didn't have any with Banshee, and I highly doubt I'll have any with MT. Kings Island knows what they're doing. )
