a few years ago after a storm we went there and the place was empty and the opp kept going come on ride the Zephyr, ill be your friend

i noticed that too yesterday at close time i walked by starlight thing with my daughter and the music was on and tower was lit but that whole area from what i could tell(i saw it walking to tower from coney mall) nothing i could see was lit at all in that area. if its broken they need a refund as its only a year old

on Flying Ace Aerial Chase the guy said= "for full disclosure despite the name of the ride you do not chase a mermaid on this ride.think about it"

The lady running the e tower couple weeks ago was telling us about the starlight show and was like" where we play about a 100 different versions of the snoopy theme including a hard rock one and i really wish i was making that up" also she was joking around with one of the other ops "don't mess with an English redhead with pig-tales" :-). she definitely made the elevator ride much more fun

and they had those little metal detector wands

I had forgotten about when they were in the front. Does anyone have any pics of the front gate from when the ticket booths were in front of them?

Id recommend going on a weekday if you can, but if your gona go tomorrow definitely a good time for a fastpass :-)

funny part was when i got there(1ish) the front sign said rides not op today-WindSeeker. then i saw peeps on it and when i left at 6ish it no longer said its not operating today :-)

ok i was trying to find his post about it but cant remember what topic it was under but someone recently asked this question and Don himself answered it, he stated the water was drained a few years before Vortex's construction for the reasons stated above

i remember last year when i rode before the waterpark opened it didnt play coj cause it didnt stop but did after but im guessing since all the other songs were different its probably gone too which sucks i loved hearing it right before u get off it was catchy :-)

This week is the "math and science days". I had a bad experience last time i went on one of those days with some of the kids(cuting lines etc). I just looked at the webcam and it looked fairly dead atm, if anyone goes there this week could you please give us some feedback on if things are going better this year and the crowds etc please?

even if it does rain if anything it would reduce crowds and its worth waiting out if it does. I remember 1 time couple years ago i waited in Vortex que area for 30 min when all the lines were hour+ when it stormed and when it passed everything was a walk on heck the the swing ride guy was literally begging people to ride promising to be their friend if they did lol

At least in the car i rode, the boo blasters guns made no sounds. Adventure e the "lava" the guy dumps on you wasent lit like last year(and someone left that lift hill tunnel door open again). The buses only area was 99% buses instead of 30% buses and rest cars etc lol. Crypts signs are removed or covered. On a side note- i noticed most of the employees,especially the ones working outdoors, pretty much 90% of them were in shorts even though it was in the 40's-low 50's all day. poor guys and gals then again they probably had a choice in the matter and underestimated how cold it was gona be :-)

It was free,no dino tickets needed. Still just the long benches. also they took out the "honda is awsome" ad at the beginning(well besides the annoncer employee says brought to you by honda)

im in the dayton area and their 24/7 weather channel (7.2)is saying in the 50's pretty much everywhere from cinci to toledo so weather.com seems to be calling it way lower than anyone else. btw that was march the ki area was in the upper 80's not feb :-)
