New at Holiday World for 2012
^I believe it was 1993 (but I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong). ^^I'm thinking probably not as much as there is on Wildebeest but looking at the ride layout it certainly looks like there are a few areas where its possible. I am expecting 'Wildebeest Lite' based on the family marketing so far, so any airtime at all would be great as far as I am concerned.

My money would be on Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Great Coasters announces Big Fun
I think that the Big Fun model or even one of Gravity Group's Splinter FX concept model's would work really well at Coney.

Great Coasters announces Big Fun
With a reported price tag of only $3 million dollars this could be a real nice addition for several smaller parks.

New at Holiday World for 2012
There are a couple photos of the new Mammoth rafts in TPR's IAAPA coverage. They look pretty comfortable, I really like that they have some back support (apparently I am getting old!). Link: Photo is 2/3ish of the way down. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1111262#p1111262

Realistic Off-Season Improvement Ideas
I actually was shocked at how reasonable the prices in said Starbucks were when I went in there this year. It did not strike me as being any more expensive then what I normally pay outside of the park.

Realistic Off-Season Improvement Ideas
Ditto on the table service restaurant. I'd also like to see a new coat of paint for Racer and maybe a little theming added to the train.

Massive Florida Trip Report
Very nice TR! I really need to get down to BGT and SeaWorld sometime soon. I agree that Rockit was really lame (though I did like the non-inverting loop). Glad you had such a good trip, thanks for sharing!

As Disney World turns 40, its strategy shifts
I have to agree with this. Going to Disney World/land is not like going to King's Island or even a park like Dollywood for a day or two. Sure you may plan on hitting a certain ride first or know which showing of a particular show you would like to make...but that pales in comparsion to what I have seen most people do as they plan their Disney trips. I know that when my family (all relatively laid back, except for me lol) the planning was very very detailed. We knew which park we were going to on which days months in advance and literally had an hour by hour schedule for each day - something that my family never does for anything. The fact that some of the dining facilities require reservations months in advance speaks to the number of people that are just a tad bit anal about their planning when it comes to their Disney vacation. I think that these sorts of ideas will have great success.

Cedar Fair Appoints New Corporate Vice Presidents
So...wonder what sort of extremely tasteful and not at all distracting train wraps we can look forward too!?! On a more serious note, I do feel like the company made a great choice in hiring Mr. Ouimet and I really am excited to see what the future holds for all the CF parks.

HW 9/28 announcement
It is more like a mini Starflyer then a mini Screamin Swing. Here is the picture that the park posted on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/holidayworld/6192292773/

Newbie questions
Welcome to KIC! As for the best times to visit for the rest of the season, if you are going to Haunt, as bandguy said, the best time is typically Friday nights. If you are just going to ride rides and aren't that interested in Haunt (like me!) then Sundays are far and away your best bet.

Dinosaurs Alive! Next Stop Dorney Park 2012
Which, quite frankly, is fine with them. The DA attractions aren't meant to appeal to thrill seekers or to draw platinum pass holders away from their home parks. It's to increase family visits and draw more school groups to the park. Families spend more money then thrill seekers and these attractions offer a chance for a quick ROI.

What`s next for Son of Beast?
I do think they will be great once they are up and running. They look like they will offer a very guest friendly ride experience. As for a launching wooden coaster...I have no doubt that it could be insanely fun...but (in my extremely non-professional opinion) it seems like the upkeep costs would be very very high.
