  1. I recently took a trip to New York City with my scholars group from OSU! It was my first time there, and I loved it! I figured I could share a few pictures with you guys NYSE and Wall St. Grand Central Station O-H-I-O Empire State Building at night Times Square Freedom Tower (probably my favorite picture I took while on the trip!) 9/11 Memorial This is a tree that was at the World Trade Center during the attack, and it is still there! Freedom Tower again- soon to be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere Central Park And The Naked Cowboy I hope you enjoyed my pictures! I love my school, and am grateful for the opportunity to see everything the city life had to offer! Also, I apologize that the pictures are huge- I'm not sure how to fix that... But thanks for checking this out
  2. I just hate seeing a family argue over stuff. I understand that it is a big deal, with a lot of an impact on the future of the park, children, and financial stability, etc... but at what point do you just set aside differences? I mean, they all have the same blood in their veins! i just don't like seeing such a seemingly happy family come to this point.
  3. October 5th, so however long ago that was. Around 5 and a half months if my math is right
  4. I get an on-ride photo keychain from every roller coaster at KI and CP
  5. Most recent OnPoint blog shows Gatekeeper's plaza renderings! It looks good on paper! http://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article/online-fun/First-Impressions
  6. They're putting in the new floors! (via twitter) http://via.me/-aiuf9mk And the bar! (also via twitter) http://via.me/-aiwp06k
  7. King Island's Facebook page recently posted that guests will notice "a lot" of work done on The Racer. I'm excited to see this! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151769759028368&set=a.226729858367.174830.155893938367&type=1&theater
  8. This is going to be great. I am beyond excited to see what this place looks like. I can't wait for baseball season to start, and being able to enjoy my two favorite things at the same time will be incredible. Go Redlegs!
  9. New for 2013: Reds Hall of Fame Grille (via twitter) This looks like something that I, being a Reds nut, will absolutely love. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/article/media-center/New-Reds-Hall-of-Fame-Grille-restaurant-will-feature-sports-barstyle-food-Reds-history-and-authentic-team-memorabilia
  10. I think the most intriguing defunct park is Six Flags New Orleans. Seeing those pictures of the entire park flooded, the abandoned wasteland it is now is kind of creepy but interesting at the same time. http://vimeo.com/55529158
  11. My feelings in regards to the situation:
  12. The circuit is now complete! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151290488511463&set=a.319129566462.158310.10625691462&type=1&theater
  13. I am aware that it is a single gated attraction- I just wanted to know why he thought the Holiday World portion was overrated. The have 3 great coasters and multiple other attractions, great employees, exceptional food, free drinks, and the park is very clean. I just wanted to see why he thinks it isn't as good as other people do.
  14. What makes you say that? Just curious.
  15. Thanks Depatment47! I love learning about how the park looked and operated before I was around
  16. The first thing I noticed when I looked at that old map was that the area where Antique Cars stood (now BSLC) was not entirely encircled by a footpath. When was the pathway connecting Rivertown and Coney Mall around the eastern side of Antique Cars added? Was it when The Bat was built?
  17. Looks pretty good! I would just say that for the top of the lift hill, the track rolls the other way. It should go to the right and not the left
  18. I wish I was around for that ride! It looks like so much fun!
  19. I was not planning on it, that's for sure! Thanks for clearing that up.
  20. I usually ride with my cousin (TTD-120-420) or my lady friend, but I love riding with my little sister. She absolutely loves every ride she has been on, and there is just something about seeing a 7 year old on The Beast that I find entertaining. (that sounded really creepy)
  21. Not trying to sound like a smart-alec, but if they ride is not moving is it acceptable to take a picture or video? For example, last summer before the ride began we took a picture of my little sister on the carousel. It was technically on the ride, but the ride was not operating at the time. I understand that the carousel is a minor example, but say we were stuck on Racer's lift hill and it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a new profile picture? Or stuck atop WindSeeker? There are many other examples I could list. Is there a rule on this?
  22. Made a joke, removed it late for realizing it may be a little questionable. Carry on
  23. That would be nice for people that live in the middle of the two parks, but Kings Island draws customers from parts of the country that Cedar Point does not, and vice versa. I know that in my home, which is an hour north of Kings Island and three hours south of Cedar Point, the mentality is why travel three hours when you can do basically the same thing an hour away? Even though this isn't entirely true, I am sure that my family is not the only one who thinks like that. Personally, I feel that Cedar Point and Kings Island are two entirely different parks, and should each operate individually, rather than specializing on family at one location, and thrills at the other. If the parks were closer, then maybe that would be acceptable, but there are people Sandusky and Mason looking for both thrills and family-friendliness.
