Goodbye my friend
Seemed like a great guy- so sad to hear this... its crazy to think that someone who was on this site just last night is no longer here today. Thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family, and my next ride on Diamondback, whenever that may be, is in his honor. RIP KIfan1980. God bless!

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI
Look at Terpy and Dane so far ahead of their time! B&M Hypers and Dinosaurs in 2007! That being said, I don't like the idea of removing rides from their current parks, unless that park is closing it's gates (Geauga Lake), so I would say to leave everything as is.

Gold passes
I would say that their pass prices were too low anyway. It could be a coincidence, but I believe that they have needed to increase their prices for a while now.

Inverted-coaster and Launched coaster phobia
Just get over it and get on the ride?

The best new coaster debuting in 2013 in North America will be...
Outlaw Run for sure.

SF new for 2013
The reverse launch looks amazing, and I think they are trying to throw off the pace just because they can. And the top hat element blew my mind. So far, based on what I've seen and my own opinions: Outlaw Run > Iron Rattler > Full Throttle > Gatekeeper > Gold Striker

A very generous winner
Hopefully he doesn't hear about the dollar-per-game event at KI...

Gold Striker at CGA 108.2 Feet High 53.7 MPH
First impression: The Legend at Holiday World. That being said, I like the addition and location in that park. Solid addition

Son of Beast roller coaster to be removed
Did you read the post above yours?

Fast Pass
The more you buy, the cheaper they are, up to 6 passes. My advice is to go to the park and see what the crowd looks like before purchasing the passes. Who knows, you may not need even them

Rides/Areas that seem un-needed/needs changing at Kings Island
That's kind of what I was getting at... if it became a full-out new area instead of an add-on, I would be all for it!

2 new themed area's/attractions.
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory concept could really take off. There are so many options with that! I love that concept (just not at KI )

Rides/Areas that seem un-needed/needs changing at Kings Island
I chose to eliminate X-Base because I have never really enjoyed the feel of that area. It seems to me like they took Coney Mall and just added stuff behind it (because they did). The theme of the area seems out of place; going from a classic, fair-style area to a futuristic flight themed area. That being said, those two rides need to stay, but perhaps Firehawk could have been in Action Zone? Yes, they needed a way to get access to the land out there, but the shift in themes seems out of touch. I also voted that all rides need to stay, because they are all staples of the park in one way or another.

Parking lot coasters
Question: How much of Gatekeeper is actually going to be over the parking lot? From the POVs it looks like they will be putting in some landscaping and what not. I wouldn't be so quick to judge this one...

Son of Beast roller coaster to be removed
Hopefully they put a restaurant in there somewhere too!

Animals in the park
** BUMP ALERT ** I was about to start a new topic for this, but search saved the day! I saw a deer near the track on Beast in 2010. Earlier this year, I saw a family of groundhogs chilling by the brake run at Vortex. But the main reason I wanted to begin (bump) this topic was because of a skunk I saw in a strange location. It was in a food stand (maybe Dippin' Dots?) between Diamondback and WWC. The worker started to panic all of a sudden, but kept right on working, so props to him. I then watched the critter run down the pathway and jump off the bridge before you get to the train station. Just got me wondering, any other strange/interesting encounters?

Possible Ride Station Location?
I don't understand why people are trying to figure out locations for new rides within the current park area if KI owns mass amounts of land that is untouched.

Halloween Haunt 2012
If you ride Racer and look in and around the buildings alongside, you will spot some Haunt equipment.

Beast Lights
I don't remember if the other ones were on. The red was predominant though.
-
Beast Lights
They were in the loading station. The station was flooded red, and the queues (sp?) had blue and yellow lights. It was the first time I remember seeing them...
-
8/17- Last trip of the year :(
No in the loading station they had colored lights and spotlights.
-
Beast Lights
There were lights in the station for Beast last night. They were red, blue, and yellow, and I think they are getting ready for Haunt. Is this a new feature, or am I late to the party? If you have seen them, what do you think?

8/17- Last trip of the year :(
Yesterday I made my final trip of the year, since I will most likely not make it to Haunt this year. Just a few notes: -Son of Beast is rather majestic-looking, when you realize you will never see it again. -The damage on Flight of Fear's building looks like it may have gotten worse? -First time trying the cheese steaks, and they were good. -When did The Beast get new lights? -First time seeing Ed Alonzo's show, and I enjoyed it. I also agree that the performers might have been "a little too sexy" for children, but I don't mind -I'm gonna miss this park, at least until April.

KI 8-16-12
I believe I saw that lift months prior to the SOB announcement... but I have been wrong before
