  1. Was Greaters and LaRosas at the park when the Brady Bunch was there... I dont think so...
  2. Is the ad board on government grounds? Meaning the advertisement money goes to the government? Shouldnt they be taking ad money from in state revenue streams? Not pushing people to visit another state's streams?
  3. I have gone alone a few times. Its not bad but just not something I enjoy. I like to talk to people and I like to be able to just discuss any and all things with friends and family. The few times I have gone by myself, it was nice though. It was easy to just meander in and out rides as I pleased.
  4. Oh man. I used to think the front seat on FoF was the best launch I have ever had. Then I rode front seat on TTD. Im not sure if the build up makes the launch better on TTD (the waiting, the rumble, the christmas tree lights...), but I love that launch now. But I have found that I really like front row on FoF.
  5. 1. Its never the customers fault. If you cant do it, dont say you will. 2. The person/company selling something is 100% responsible If you are a house builder and the person wants you to build a 10 story house out of only 1x2s and it fails, its your fault. You should have known better than to build an inferior product that you couldnt build correctly.
  6. If this man is trully honestly all about the park. I feel bad for him and salute him at the same time. He has a very tough hill to climb. Trying to recover a park that he loves that is no where near good shape. He has a lot of work to do just to get the park ready, not counting the public perception. It will be very tough, but good for him. If this man is only trying to find a way to recover the magic of building up a park and selling it, then I hope it fails him.
  7. Most Exotic would be the Wilds located near Zanesville/New Concord Ohio. Only in Ohio, can you sleep under the stars and hear the lions roar. Open air jeep tours to see giraffes and elephants... If you have never been you need to go at least once...
  8. Record breakers usually mean the first of its kind. First of its kind usually means prototype. Prototypes have issues. So a tried and true fun ride is not a bad thing. Put in a ride that puts butts in the park. People in the park = increase in people buying food and goods. Food and goods = more income. More income = more park improvements. SOB sat SBNO for 5 years as a "record breaker" but how many more people did that coaster bring in?
  9. agreed^^^ its something about the still water....
  10. People eat raw eggs. Salmonella is not from raw eggs, its passed by the mother chicken into the raw egg, I believe....
  11. Nice find. Welcome BTW

  13. From a link from the OPs posting.. http://acincinnatihistory.blogspot.com/2012/06/blue-sky-kings-island-entrance.html So much green space....
  14. Need a BREAK? grab a snickers. DIVErsion.... what is terp telling us... or is a snicker just a snicker and a diversion just a diversion....
  15. Well, I think its also fair to say that in the article they mention food that is of higher quality. Higher quality food means people want to eat. I remember my trip and ate at Mythos. Wonderful themeing and great food. I feel the 90s and early 2000s people felt that people would buy anything. Now they are noticing people will spend more money on higher quality materials...
  16. Dude you did a great thing. There is not much you can do in that situation. You are a stranger with a naked child. Its a very bad situation to be in. A child with Autism can know how to get home (one of my severe students, I found out, rides his bike for hours at a time). I mean the only other thing you could have done, was maybe called the police non-emergency number? EDIT: The non-emergency police line would be more to just let them know what was going on and to cover your butt. All you needed was someone to call the police on you and your family for following a naked child home as he screamed dont follow me. I have learned that when helping other people's children you need to make sure you are covered just in case someone observes and doesnt understand what is exactly happening.
  17. and sometimes at places like Aldis a national brand will make a local "regional" brand to be put into the stores... They make deals with the number 1 in the market to produce them that way.

This is such a great thing the park does. Makes me proud to have KI as a home park. Thanks Don for taking care of others!
  19. To be 16 again and think all law suits have no merit.... Copywrite Law and Trademark Law is a very tedious business. People spend lifetimes and fortunes building a brand. Many will spend twice that amount to protect a brand. Imagine you create a do-hickey. Everyone loves this Do-Hickey (which you copywrited the name). I thin put out my own Do-Hickie (a bit different spelling). Would you be mad? Would you be mad if I caused your profits to drop? Your dropped profits cause you to cut back on stores, or sell controlling interest in your brand. Now are you upset? The UDF frosty may not a severe dent into Wedny's profits, but how many people could see a UDF frosty, think its the same as Wedny's pick up a 4 pack and then avoid going to Wendy's....
  20. here If anything there are some great photos of the trams in that picture... maybe they are coming back
  21. I believe the blocks that are being sold are called "Blokos" and they even state on the package "They work with your other Lego sets."
  22. I believe the man she was engaged to was one of her pilots. Such a sad thing. There are no true words than can be said that can mark the taking of a life while doing a hobby/sport you enjoy. Such a sad moment. And whats frightening to me, was that the moment before the accident, she was (probably) happy and stressed about hitting her marks... I get that sometimes its difficult with youngins. My child is 5 weeks old. I wouldnt take him to the air show for him just because hes 5 weeks old. But when he gets older we will be going (as long as its still around). How did we survive is a great question...
  23. In those 8 years, didnt the original Owner die, company changed leadership bought and sold Arby's ?
  24. I always wonder if declining numbers has to do with "absentee parenting" or the economy or even the internet. When I was a kid, there was no way for my mom and dad to be able to show me what the blue angels looked like unless they were on TV or ran down to Feature Video to get a VHS rental. My parents took me to the show and I loved it. Now do parents even pay attention to giving their kids a learning experience such as this? Heck, you can get a parent off of their text messaging to talk to the kid in a grocery store. The economy is down I get that and the internet lets you watch every great stunt performer 24/7.
  25. If its not here now, did it ever truly exist?
