What's Your Favorite Coaster at PKI?
well, i am a big fan of The Beast... but my vote went for Vortex. I've said it before, and so have many others... i'm sure it will be said again.... Every park needs an arrow looper, and well my friends, we have one of the best! Vortex FOREVER! :cowboy:

Coaster in 05
i would just like to see a wicked b&m invert, floorless or flyer... hell, anything swiss is ok by me! i think that a beemer is really the one thing that pki is lacking... lets hope for one in 05... PKI 2005 - The year of the Beemer!

KING COBRA
whos to say KC didnt have problems? I loved KC and wish it was still around, but i recall a ride in what would proove to be its last season where as we were heading into the station, one of the wheels fell off and a maintnece guy under the loading platform just put it back on, took a socket to it and tightened it, as if they were anticipating this problem or it happens often.... i know if i heard this from someone i probably would not beleive it, but it happend to MY SEAT! lord only knows what could have happend if it had fallen off durning the ride! none the less, the ride was shut down for the remainder of the day after that incident, but still..... what if!

Newlyweds PKI Episode Shown
boy.... viacom really knows how to market themselves... what a great business move! Use a successful show on MTV (a Viacom network) to promote a paramount park... (for those of you who dont know, viacom is the parent company of parmount) so they were pretty much just shifting their own money around... speding money to shoot at PKI but promoting the park on national television at the same time.... what an amazing strategy! I'm sorry i missed this.... i mean it looks like it aired like 3 weeks ago! Anyway, i'm sure it will be on again....

PKI's Local Competitors
strickers grove is a park in ross ohio, located on st. route 128. It has two wood coasters, "The Tornado" and "The Teddy Bear" both built by Ralph Stricker himself. I beleive he is the only civillian ever to build is own full scale wooden coasters. I grew up at this park, my family used to work the consessions area and sell food while company picnics were going on.... it was a great way for us to fund our summer vacations. I dont know if they still let people come in and do that or not. I dont exactly remember what the deal with that was... The coasters are great, and the park has lots of classic flats, but i really dont think that it poses much competition to PKI strictly because of the fact that it is mostly a private park. Its open all summer to company picnics and stuff, but only open to the public 2 or 3 days a year. The 4th of july, and like the second saturday of august or something like that.... I think that the beach is more competition to PKI than coney, just because it is directly across the street. Coney seems to be a place for families with small children to go and enjoy a "pay per ride" kind of day, and relax at a pool at the same time... also, a lot of company's rent it out for picnics, so people only make their trips there once a year.... Thats my opinion, hope its valued! Edit: Dropzone, the food was not always free. it may have been on public days, but i'm not really sure.

Fasttracks SpeedSlides Removed
ya know... i'm gonna miss those speed slides, but the new racers look like fun too.... What i really wish they would have added is a couple of those slides... where you ride the plastic yellow slides down and then skim across the water at the end.... had one at surf cincinnati, anybody know what i'm talkin about? That was always so much fun!

What else is in Store for 2004
well... i think jeff, as well as the website both say that more is in store... the question is what? I would like to see another flat, because i love all kinds of flat rides, but i have a feeling it will just be new shows, new FX theatre movie, and maybe just some general upkeep (repainting and such)........ only time will tell!

THIRD EYE BLIND AT PKI!
Finally, PKI and Q102 have finally brought a decent show to Timberwolf. Not that Aaron Carter and all those Christian shows are not decent to some people, I just think this will just appeal to a much bigger audience. Third Eye Blind Saturday Oct. 18th! Tickets on sale now for 5$ with a season pass. Anybody else planning on going? EDIT: Corrected SEVERAL grammar errors. Please prof-read your posts before submitting. Thank you.

Good-bye WaterWorks at end of 2003!
ok.... quote from cincinnati enquirer article: The Cincinnati Enquirer MASON - Paramount's Kings Island is closing its water park after this season, park officials announced today. That article says closing... im afraid to beleive this... i'm not goin to be one of the GP that beleives everything they hear. The article and press release only mention the 15 acres and the 1989 slides. I am thinking right now, just as a few others on this board are that the older part will be completely redone, new slides, new theming, all kinds of good waterpark stuff... another expansion will be built, and the addition from a few years bck will just be spruced up a bit..... Wow, im shocked... i relaly dont know what to beleive or even think anymore... but thats what running through my mind.... guess we'll just have to wait and see.
