  1. ^ Each post you're making is getting me more and more anxious!
  2. I don't know why, but I would like the queue entrance to look something like this. FYI, the area where you see the splashdown is a window in the building.
  3. ... even though it almost happened to me... sort of. I was experiencing atleast 7 seconds of airtime off my raft when I went into the funnel!
  4. The train theming on KI&MVRR scares me crapless. The bear outside of BB's train exit, too random for words, and the small little town while entering the park is a bit... pointless.
  5. 2005 - BLSC for 3 hours. I wanted to shoot myself for waiting so long for that!
  6. Something like this?

Last Saturday me and my family were able to snag tickets to Kings Island, so we took advantage of it. We took off from home around 8:40 or so and headed out with towels, trunks, and food. We ate some breakfast at Cracker Barrel, and in the process I lost 2 games of checkers. My stats? 0 for 2. Around 11:30 we arrived at the park and immediately headed toward BB to get a locker. After a long walk around Nick U and the picnic grove, we reached BB and quickly rented us a locker! We headed back to the train and hopped onto Rivertown. I grabbed a headjerking ride on The Beast first thing, with my brother. It was his first time and really enjoyed bouncing around. Afterward we headed onto WWC, and I really forgot how SHORT the line truly is, even if it seems long the first time. I hadn't ridden WWC for a while, so I was surprised at how short the ride really was. I thought it was faster and longer, I guess I remembered wrong. After WWC I remember we headed over to BB because we were all wet anyway. While we were on Beast my parents took a Thornberry ride and my mom was flooded when the log dunked itself into the water. We took the train to WWC, and I enjoyed a row to myself while slowly traveling by Diamondback's construction, which as our train op guy said was "Gonna be ammaaaaaazinnnn!" When we reached BB me and my sister headed for Coolangatta Racers. I lost because I started atleast 3 seconds after the operator said "Go!" I was 4th place. Beware of my skill. We walked around and I was pretty POed to see that Snowy River Rampage was closed. So, I headed with my sister off to Tasmanian Typhoon. I very much enjoyed this one, even the line. It was entertaining to watch riders fly out of the tunnel screaming like there was no tomorrow. The water was particularly cold this one, and not much fun as the ride op held us under the waterfall before you could start for atleast 30 seconds. Alas, we were off and I was heading backwards the entire time. I was on the raft with my sister and nobody else, so the surprise drop at the end surprised me and scared my sister. She squealed. I swear I almost fell out of the raft when entering the funnel. My butt was sliding across the groves in the funnel very painfully and when we turned around, I was experiencing 'Funnel Airtime!' It was fun, especially the drenching pool splash. After TT, we headed over to the car to eat our lunch. Sandwiches, Chips, Cookies, and Cokes. It was ALOT cheaper than eating in the park. We then entered BB again once finished. When we entered BB, the less fun part began as we stayed at the wave pool for 30 minutes and eventually headed back to the park. This struck me, lines were alot huger than on Toyota Day because I have noticed there's a TONNA more people there. I need to get that through my thick skull. I didn't get to ride everything I wanted to hit up. When we headed back to the park, me and my siblings headed to Firehawk and were greeted to a 1:30:00 ride line. The air was hot and the misting fans in the line weren't so helping for me. They thoroughly enjoyed the ride, it was my 2nd official ride on it, and I enjoyed the loud chain lift. Very. Very. Much. After Firehawk I hit up Red Racer. When in line we were greeted to a very fun and entertaining 30 minute wait. The ride ops were asking riders for candy. In their spiel, "Any candy left on the ride WILL be eaten." Nonetheless, when a circuit ended, the front seat riders threw them a bag of skittles and sparked a conversation on the art of devouring skittles! The ride itself on the front seat was very fun, and full of airtime. My sister didn't enjoy the feeling however. Afterwards me and my mom hit up Scrambler, a family original tradition. It was painful. For her. My parents were hungry after scrambler so they went to Wings. Their description wasn't too pleasant, they said the food didn't look to appetizing. It was ok, and they said they won't go back there. They reviewed that the restraunt itself was also very dirty and included very sticky floors. While they were gone, the 3 hoodlems (I be da leader!) hit up AE. I don't remember stopping midway in the final tunnel and listening to the 'Bowl of Chili' tiki. Anyone care to explain? We then decided to head out to Nick U, and I didn't get to ride Avatar again, because one of the 2 twins complained of lines and didn't understand it was a general public Saturday. So we hopped onto Scooby, I heard line complaints from them throughout the line. We got on and the ride stopped and continued shortly, and I only scored a 150 because the ride's gun and targets wouldn't cooperate. It was getting late so we headed on over to Vortex, our final ride. By the time it was time to get on, it was plain as night dark. It was a very fun experience getting a night ride on Vortex, very unusual too considering I couldnt see while looping. My brother acted like he was at a rock concert while riding. After the ride, we decided to head out. The park was gonna close in atleast 23 minutes by the time we got off. While exiting, I grabbed my map to hang in my room, watched the DB model and had to explain to random people that the ride didn't really go as fast as the model did. God, people. Also, was the DB model ever stationed somewhere else? I remember seeing pictures of it somewhere on Press day. We headed out. As I sat on the hood of the car eating Lays while watching fireworks shoot off, I let the KI spirit take me over. It was a semi-pleasant day. Anyway, here's some night pictures taken from my phone. I'm the hoodlem in the gray shirt.
  8. I'd kill for that! Why must it be only a rumor?!
  9. If it wasn't so freaking HOT outside I wouldn't mind waiting in line for Firehawk. I swear to god I'm going to kiss whoever thought of putting the little mist things on the fans in that quene. That brings me to this - I swear those fans were against me! Every time I got near one the line proceeded or the fan was facing the wrong way, and the line would move before it would turn again.
  10. ^ Agreed. I waited about 1:45:00 yesterday for Firehawk, and I almost died.
  11. Yesterday in BB in line for Taz. Typhoon... "You know the Aerosmith ride in MGM? The one that people die on like every freaking year? Well, it derailed yesterday because a dude unscrewed the wheels before he got on." Wow. Just wow.
  12. On Viking Fury, I enjoy the screaming. Whenever I am on, the ride ops usually hold a 'Battle of The Sides' screaming contest and whichever side screams more wins.
  13. Due to the low amount of interest, I will not be taking the doodles to the park with me tomorrow.
  14. ^ Done! The doodle pictures are now added to the first post if you are not familiar with them
  15. Sorry for a double post, but I am now taking 4 doodles, I updated the list.
  16. I know that many forum members will be in the park on Saturday for the KIC Event. I will not be with the forum group, but my family was lucky enough to pick up tickets for Saturday. I took this as an opportunity to real lively interact with the KICentral forum community. If anyone is interested, I will be taking 4 original KIC Doodle papers with me to the park on Saturday to give to any willing KIC members. I'm not sure about any times, but I would probably need a cellphone number to text the member in the park to meet up somewhere in the park during the Saturday operating hours. If anyone is interested, post a reply and I will PM you! EDIT: This giveaway thingamajig is CANCELLED. (Dunn dunn dunnnnn!)
  17. 8.8.08 was my first day of high school. Freshman year. Year uno. Yup. I decided to turn my first day into a small trip report. My first day. What could I describe it as? Ummmm... ok? Nonetheless, it's alot I need to get used to. High School is a hecka lot different than Middle School. I learned that. Day One - 8:30-ish: Enter school 8:45: Enter Homeroom Homeroom: Retrieved school forms and schedule. Nothing big. 1st Hour: General Science This hour was a good start. The teacher has some strange adrenaline-type thing that keeps her up and jumping. The hour started with us basically doing nothing. This progressed until class ended. 2nd Hour: PE Nothing big. Played basketball. I lost. Yay! 3rd Hour: Health? No. Intro Engineering Design. Yup! When PE ended I read my schedule wrong and went to a health class I wasnt in. I was there for atleast 45 minutes and had to leave. I went to lunch with them, but didn't eat because I had no clue where I was. I left, and then got lost trying to find my other class. I eventually found it and was greeted to my teacher from last year. We goofed around on the internet and stuff for well over an hour. Me? I read KIC the entire class. Class ends. 4th Hour: Algebra 1 Left 3rd hour. I then went to the class and was greeted to a high-strung teacher who gives homework every day. It's not like it's a big deal though. The teacher is friendly and well.. yah. This class will be easy... for now. (DUN DUN DUNNNN) 5th Hour: Honors English 1 What can I say about this teacher? He's funny. He's kind. He's big. But, he can be a pain in the arse. I can already tell. He yells alot though, and can be a wee bit sarcastic at times. Parents around town tell me that I will need to be a teacher's pet or I am going to sink in the class. Once, a parent who made As through college wrote a paper for her son and got a C on it from him. He will probably be my weak spot in the year. 6th Hour: Spanish 1 This class will be a bit harder than expected. I thought I'd be memorizing words and putting them to use. I was wrong. The teacher is a little older than the others, but is friendly. This may change though, considering she's a bit high-strung. Oh well. Of course, today was my 2nd day and I am alot better with my schedule. Anyway, that was my day 1 report. This begins a whole new school year. It started too early though.
  18. Apparently, there have been over 20 deaths at KI. Isn't that enough to get us closed down? Technically, you do.

  20. Due to money and income being low, Toyota has officially cancelled their Kings Island family day, the only day of the year I get to visit. Rumors to workers (like my dad) say that the entire thing is for greed. However, I think it is a bit messed up to cancel on thousands of families who have looked forward for months, including mine. Now we have the slightest chance to make it up there this year. EDIT: I believe this only applies to TMMK in Georgetown, KY. I read up that TMAA is still planning for Sep. 20, 2008
  21. What I Want To Know is If The splashdown area will have a bridge over it for patrons to get wet. Otherwise it's a tad pointness
  22. They read our theories about McDonalds and are using it as a subliminal message.
  23. I suggest putting it in the computer and find a program where you can rip DVDs to a video file
  24. So did the bottle of tonic have any role in the Press Release today ?
  25. Did anyone get footage from the actual press release? I've been up and around WLWT's YouTube and More.
