All depends on if my girls go on opening day. If they do I'll be checking out Planet Snoopy and hopefully my oldest hits 48" so we can expand her coaster experience so that we are no longer stuck in Snoopy land.

The toboggan slide is just a regular slide but they do not use it during the summer season.

I remember the first year they had a James Bond boat out next to Vortex's exit. Funny thing is early 98 I was training on Flight of Fear and we all were asked to ride Bond before opening to the public but the only catch was there was no sound yet! haha

AaaaHHH! makes me miss Dollywood so much we went down there in May, my little beasties are still asking when are we going back! Very nice TR Dollywood really is beautiful with all the lighting!

I can honestly say that I'm not afraid of heights, but while working at extreme heights I'm very aware of them! While working mainteneance at ki the highest I have been is on top of Drop Tower and the craziest thing I have done is a few times while inspection Xtreme Skyflyer I would climb completely around the top of the arch instead of having to go back down one side then climb up the other!

This doesn't sound like the Admission and Parking Tax has anything to do with this but when I was flipping through TV this morning a caught the tail in of the story, I didn't hear what this ordinace is about but they said that they may talk about the Tax issue. There are several ways to insure a safe dispatch if the guard at the top can't see the bottom run off or splash pool 1option they can have a photoeye to control a lighting system, example; guard at top gets the green light pushes dispatch button to release trap door and guest drops down slide, green light turns red and guard loads next guest then guest in slide passes photoeye at the bottom and red light turns green! 2 option co-dispatch when the slide is clear the guard at the bottom can push a bottom to give the go signal to the top guard and send the guest down the slide, works just like the photoeye but the guard at the bottom asks like the photoeye. Both are complected but could easily be set up on a PLC.

I'm planning on going this year! Yes it is for a very good cause, proceeds from the revenues go to the Freedom Alliance.

My choice would be opening day 1972 that way I could see ki brand spanking new!

The inclined looping water slide also has a hatch at the base of the loop just in case someone stops at the bottom, between the first drop and loop.

This summer a boy tried to line jump infront of my girls on Swipers Sweepers and my 5 year old said hey thats not right get behind me and the boy did it! Muahahaha I'm raising them right!

Back in 98 I was working on Congo Falls while they used to have MTV Grind Dance parties after closing and we caught a guy jump off the boat unto the catwalk on the turn around and jumped back in right before the boat dropped, while we called security they luckily seen what happened and ran down the exit and walked him out to security! One thing I loved doing when I worked there was if I saw a line jumper I would pull out my ID and say if you don't leave I'll have security here to take you out of the park and it always worked for 7 years!

I went with DB, if only they could rip down the walls on Flight of Fear since it would be so nice for everyone to be able to see its mess of steel all wrapped up so nicely!

They really need to change there greeting signs to Welcome to The city of Mason... The Greedy City or I wouldn't be surprized if they set up tolls leading into mason for non mason residents!

I'm guessing we won't be seeing any amusement park in Franklin but they will at least have some very nice streets!
