Seems like an excuse to get rid of the event when, predictably, people are unhappy with this.
  2. I'm sure it's really going to help matters that people are figuring out that making a purchase from Six Flags is like flushing your money down the toilet, because they can and will change the rules on you at any time. Customers LOVE feeling like they were misled!
  3. It's starting to remind me of MoviePass toward the end. Charge too little for your product, then come up with desperate money grabs and change the rules on your customers when your poor business decisions come back to haunt you.
  4. Hopefully this brings some business to the other local haunted attractions. Can't imagine lots of people will be willing to pay extra for something that was advertised as being included with the passes they already purchased.
  5. It's hilarious because it only would have benefited the shareholders, and it turns out it's not even benefiting them. Oops! I really would like to see more shows on the scale of Phantom Theater Encore, especially if it means the park's main theater is occupied for more than a month. I think the problem with outside shows like the Cirque shows and Gazillion Bubbles is that they eat up a good chunk of the year's entertainment budget, so while those shows are great, it means we're missing out on, say, a daytime bandstand show or a kids' show. KI is a lot better off with entertainment than, say, KD, but it's also extremely important when the park doesn't have anything else exciting and new to offer its guests.
  6. Well, I like it because it's never busy. Guess I could have worked on the phrasing on that one! I think the big issue with cleanliness this year is that I don't think they powerwash the walkways at night anymore (which I think started last year), or at least not as often as they used to. Combined with how Park Services seems to be scaled back significantly this year, it means everything feels much grungier than previous years. It's one of those things that people won't necessarily go to GR and complain about, but it sticks in their mind when it's time to renew their pass or choose between KI and other entertainment options.
  7. I always like the restroom by WindSeeker that has a giant mirror at the end of the dividerless urinals, I guess in case anyone wants to take a "sneak peek".
  8. And then I have it in writing from Canada's Wonderland GR that the first visit in 2026 doesn't matter as long as you already have the pass and it's processed. What a totally incompetent company. They've always been awful at communicating their confusing and vague policies, but this year is a new low.
  9. Don't worry, they sent SFA passholders an email BEGGING them to go to KD instead since they stole their Halloween event from them.
  10. I just wonder at what point a state attorney general will go after them for false advertising and/or fraud. "Subject to change" does not cover lopping entire months off the season.
  11. That is the call center.
  12. I mean, this is far from the first time they've taken away something people already paid for and told people "tough!" when they complained. Always a winning business strategy, right?
  13. Ultimately, they lose money on me, so I don't feel too bad about just saving some money and renewing when it's cheaper. But I will likely drop from Prestige to Gold, the stinky dumpster lounge and preferred parking were worth it for the Wonderland price, but probably not the KI price.
  14. So, the pop-up ads around the park are now advertising an "Xtra Sour Powerade" ICEE that is "available at ICEE locations throughout the park"... but it is not actually available anywhere (not that the ICEE machines would be functional anyway). Oops! Edit: They actually have it now, at the place next to Chicken Shack.
  15. No. It's been like that for quite a while, at least at Wonderland.
  16. Sounds like someone's trying to get a couple more people in the gate on a slower-than-expected holiday weekend.
  17. I wonder when they'll put up "Share A Warm Diet Coke" ads.
  18. It looks like it is only kinda sorta working. The center jets still don't work, but more is working than before and they are at least changing again instead of being stuck turned on.
  19. Back in the day it was a gold pass benefit, you could get a little booklet of timed return tickets (like FastPass 1.0) if you got there in the morning. I believe Backlot, Beast, and the log flume also had it.
  20. Can't have people realizing how quickly the lines move when there's no paid line jumpers slowing it down.
  21. The other issue with KD's surprise closure is that they have apparently stopped updating the website and app with closures, so plenty of people made the trip because they checked the website or app, which said it was open.
  22. Best you can do is share with people you know who ask about the park how bad the experience this year, and more importantly, don't buy merchandise, don't buy blue ice cream, don't buy Food and Wine food, etc. Spending money in the park is putting a giant stamp of approval on how things are being run.
  23. It's wild that someone could look at the food situation at KI and think the person in charge of it deserves a promotion. I guess no more ice for drinks at Six Flags Over Texas, eh?
  24. I don't know, I don't think I've ever been denied a product I already paid for at a Six Flags park.
