  1. Today, a girl asked me how many times The Crypt went upside down. I said "two". Apparently, to her, "two" means "none". Also, on the Eiffel Tower elevator, going down... Guest: "This reminds me of Drop Tower, except it doesn't drop." Me: "Oh, you didn't hear? It's just like Drop Tower now. Drops 200 feet." Guest: "REALLY?!?!?!"
  2. *on The Beast* Ride op: "If you're having a good time, give me a thumbs up! *looks around* Hey! Why are you giving me a thumbs down?" Guest: "Because you're only running one train."
  3. My $17 shoes from Wal-Mart.
  4. There's a simple solution to overpriced food: eat before you go, or when you get there (Taco Bell and McD's are right down the road), and don't spend money at the park. I think I've spent all of about 80 nickels at the park itself this year.
  5. I have heard that it is there so people can't spit at the train from the lift hill, but The Beast doesn't have a wall, so I'm not sure what the difference is...
  6. Well, Disney teaches Traditions, but there's really no reason for a amusement park to do something like that. Rarely is the park's past important to a 16-year-old ride operator.
  7. Good! CedarPointer, who is out of state for the weekend, and would hate for a tornado to make it up to Centerville.
  8. "Hey, I know how I'll get some pageviews! People like to go to amusement parks this time of year, right? I'll put up a article bashing them, with lots of flaws in logic and reason! Kind of like those "FACEBOOK/MYSPACE/TWITTER WILL KILL YER KIDZ!" articles on Fox News!"
  9. That doesn't sound good!
  10. The only thing we had in Rapid City was the Central States Fair every summer. There were some gokart and mini-golf places, but not much else.
  11. I love #7. One thing SmartMoney doesn't tell you is that many of the states they list (I know South Dakota for sure) don't HAVE any amusement parks. Oops!
  12. I am convinced that, next year, there will be signs in DB's line that say, "LINE JUMPING IS ENCOURAGED."
  13. CedarPointer replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
I never rode it with the loop, but it wouldn't let me not choose an answer for that...
  14. Then, just curious, how was Paramount allowed to run them backwards?
  15. I wouldn't mind Planet Snoopy. I thought Planet Snoopy at CP looked really nice. They could even bring the Planet Snoopy flower arrangment down here! Now that would look interesting from the Eiffel Tower.
  16. But, knowing Cedar Fair, it would be replaced with this: (Thunder Hawk at Worlds of Fun)
  17. Maybe they could have some games on the site, too. Line Jumping Olympics, anyone? Designated Smoking Area Disaster? Spitwater Falls River Rafting?
  18. I noticed that the queue safety video does seem to imply that the SRL is ONLY for people actually by themselves. Next time I go, I'll try to remember the exact quote...
  19. *is still trying to figure out exactly what that site is* Are they going to have a board dedicated to trim brakes?
  20. For me, it's a tie between recaR and Bat.
  21. The problem with that is, 90% of the time (in my experience anyway), you have NO idea who it was. For example, walking by Drop Zone. Almost no way to know who it was.
  22. Hey, we already had Timmy's Air Tours, now we also have The Crypt!
  23. I was quite scared of Huss Enterprises until last year, I rode Volcano at Kennywood. It was worth it. I'm not a huge fan of pirate/viking ships, mainly due to spitting...
