KI Man's Diamondback Photo Review
I love the dude turning around to look at it behind him! I stuck my arm out to the side to see if it would get wet and I could feel the spray. I may look at it next time. And yes, it really does make that noise!

Diamondback On-ride photos!
The computers never deleted the image after it left the screen, they train people to tell you that so you will buy it then. Many years ago they did. I wanted to buy a picture but I'd gotten held up getting off the train and they didn't have the picture for me. They said as soon as the next train's images came up, the old ones were gone. If I remember correctly, this was The Beast. This was probably 10 years ago though.

Diamondback On-ride photos!
They probably reset after 100. They said they hold the pictures in memory for an hour or two (unlike the older systems where as soon as it disappeared from the display screens, it was gone). So maybe that's what it is.

I said hi to every KIC shirt I saw and definitely got a lot of blank stares!

I guess I should stop obsessively checking your site for updates then, shouldn't I? I've been looking at least once an hour to see if you've posted anything. And your forgot to text me when you got to your hotel yesterday.

Something I noticed
I saw the same people there, but I assumed they were just watching to see how things moved and reacted to the full trains.

Single Rider Bob
Sorry to hijack the costume convo , but it's good to hear there's at least one person not concerned about the D-back crew seeing our DB loving faces many, many times!! I told the supervisor running the SRL last night that next week I'd wear my single rider shirt. I'm sure she'll be sick of seeing it after a while, but maybe she won't pester me about whether I'm really a single rider or not!

Help!
Tell her to take some Dramamine, and put her on something like Racer to see if she does okay. From there, see if she'll be willing to work up to some bigger stuff. I'm betting the fact it was dark was what made her disoriented and motion sick.

I can find you a mask. If Foy's doesn't have one, I bet card & party outlet will have one. I'll try to remember to hit up Foy's tomorrow to see if they've got any capes or masks. I'm sure they don't have their entire inventory online.

Single Rider Bob
If he does, I'll get a picture of him in his mask and cape and me in my single rider shirt together. That'd be cool If I can't find a mask I'll wear the sombrero (Spelling?) I bought during spring break in mexico I still have no idea how to go about getting a cape, but if anyone has an idea i'll see if I can give it a shot I've got a long black one. Try a halloween store? If you find some cheap material you like, I could easily make you a cape out of it in about ... oh 10 minutes on the sewing machine. But the question is, will any halloween stores be open this time of year? And a cape would have to be a safety concern on rides like Invertigo. Maybe the ride ops will let me roll it up and sit on it... Foy's in Fairborn is open year round. Foy's is the coolest! Me and the wife go there every year, had no idea it was year round. Mike Foy pretty much owns Fairborn's Main Street. The main store (the original five and dime) is open year round and has a small costume section in the very back. I'm betting they'll have a cape. I think the adult costume store is open year round as well, but I'm not certain. Have you ever eaten at Foy's Grill? It's next to the main store and they're only open for breakfast and lunch, but it's good cheap food! I love eating there, especially with all the pictures and newspapers on the wall about the history of our very unique town.

who did you see from the forums?
LOL I was thinking it was yours! I remembered you saying you'd be wearing something with EKU and when Angie and I parked there I was like "I wonder..."

I saw guys running around in tutus once. I'm sure a mask and cape isn't nearly as bad as that. I think they only care about it during Haunt.

When you do, make sure you clip off all the excess paper around the design. The less you have to stick on there, the better. Do it on a hard surface (I used my dining room table) covered in an ironed pillowcase. Wash and dry your shirt so that if it's going to shrink at all it'll do it then and not after you get the design on. Iron the shirt first and then let it cool down before you put the design down. If you notice some spots that don't look like they are sticking down as well, you can hold the iron on them for just a few seconds. If you want to do a design on both sides, don't take the paper off of the first side before doing the second or your design will crack a little bit (learned this the hard way).

I had mine made at a place called ThreadWorks in Fairborn. It's the same material that's used to put names and numbers on sports jerseys. It's on there really solid and he said those letters will outlast the shirt. I paid $30 for all the lettering and the shirt itself. If you just wanted to get "single rider" front and back of a shirt you already have, it would be about $20. I paid extra cause I got KICentral.com on both sleeves.

That makes me want to wear a mask and cape when I go back to KI next weekend I dare you! This is my first and probably final summer without a job. Yes, I planned it that way. I want to have this summer to ride coasters and go diving!

April 18th. Photo Trip Report
I thought the same. yes, some of the lines were long, but it was NOTHING compared to the last Saturday of the season last year, or "Bring a Crowd Free" day (I forgot who on this forum called it that, but it was so appropriate) a couple years back.

That's what happens when sports fanatics try to do crafty stuff. Couldn't resist. Hope you get it to work out better. For the best results, turn the iron ALL the way up. I had mine on setting 8 out of 9. DO NOT go back over it. Leave it sitting for 15-20 seconds in one spot and then move it and do not come back to that spot or it will scorch the design and turn it a little yellow.

Or maybe Single Rider Kat, since I intend to be there all 3 days of next weekend power-lapping Diamondback in my own bright green single rider shirt!
