Tempest gone 2010?
I was just at Coney earlier today, and when I came to Tempest, it was completely taken apart and seven people were working on it. All of the chains and parts looked horribly rusted and corroded. I'm wondering if you can fix something like that. Its been closed for a week now and I'm hoping it reopens.

New Coaster?
That reminds me, last year I got "lost" looking for the bathroom after getting off FOF. It took me more than 15 minutes to find it, even after asking a park employee. When I finally found it I realized I had walked right by it 4 times.

New Coaster?
I really don't think they'd add a coaster to a section that already has two coasters and NO other rides. My best bet would be flat rides but I think they'll be in Coney Mall.

Absolute WORST park-going experience of my life!
My teacher said it IS still legal to paddle kids under the law (in Ohio at least), but school districts just 'outlawed' it. Anyone know anything about this? That is not completely true/ if their school board decides to legalize corporal punishment, and parents sign up their kids, it is allowed in public schools. (my teacher says)

Interesting Things Ride-Ops Do
That is awesome! I'm suprised they're allowed to do that (Are they???). Anyways that sound like an awesome experience! Oh, you just reminded me of one! Way back, when I was 7ish, I was riding Phantom Theater and the ride-op stopped the ride mid-course. Then suddenly the animatronic in front of us (I think it was the Houdini one) turned his head and said "It looks like you won't be going anywhere anytime soon! Muahaha!". Now that was awesome! Not only that, but if I remember correctly (my memory is patchy for that trip), he also turned all the lights off in the tunnel so it was pitch black. It was sweet. That brought back a lot of memories of PT. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting Things Ride-Ops Do
Last time I went to Kings Island we rode Adventure Express right before the park closed. Half way up the final chain lift, the ride op stopped the ride for 10 seconds or so and talked to the riders in an evil voice, ending his message with "MWAHAHAHAHA". Now that I look back, that was the best Adventure Express ride I've had.

Is Kings Island Haunted?
I was googling about Kings Island being haunted and I found this VERY interesting story on the theme park insider website. http://www.themeparkinsider.com/news/response.cfm?ID=3108

Coney Island Opening Day
I just got back from a full opening day at Coney Island and it is better then ever! Twister, in my opinion was a major success being faster than the Zoom Flume, having quick drops, and having double tubes. In addition to Twister being sweet, there were many other changes round the park. - No roof on Flying Bobs - New paint job for many of the rides - Trabant not only got a new paint job but also got Fixed up Neon Lighting. It looks beautiful. - No National City Kids Town. - Coney Island Mining Company relocated to the shores of lake Como. - 4 of the original Kids Houses relocated to the shores of lake Como. - More artwork around the park. If anyone wants a full review I might post a PTR when/ if my parents let me borrow their camera. If anyone else went to Coney feel free to post about your experience.

Twister Construction Thread
The total speed of the slide depends on how much water they have flowing. There's a good chance they'll increase the water flow for opening day and beyond.

What coaster would you like to see Kings Island get?
I think it would be neat if Kings Island got a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter like Mystery Mine at Dollywood. And if the rumors are true that the Crypt is tearing itself apart, this would be a perfect spot for a haunted mine. They could even bring home the record "tallest Gerstlauer coaster". Heres a POV of Mystery Mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D42Sc43HCi8

Will there be any sort of fence preventing guests from walking under the slide?

Adventure Express Discussion
I agree. It is a small fun short coaster, that provides just enough thrills, to be an "in between" type coaster. The theming on it, although a lot of it doesn't work, is still great. The ride still tells a good story about being on a runaway mine train in the jungle. I hope Adventure Express is here to stay for a long time. I found the soundtrack to AE HERE Do they still play that final tunnel soundtrack? I ride AE at least 5 times a year and have never noticed it.

Adventure Express repairs
Probably not. The tunnels were originally themed to those themes and still are "a little".

Twister Construction Thread
I heard a rumor that the original plan had one of the slides ending on the dry side of the park. Would they have actually been considering doing that?

The Crypt so much potential. So little time...

PT Animatronics
Does anyone know how long Phantom Theater was? I know that Scooby Doo is around 5 minutes long but didn't they speed up the cycle once they changed it to Scooby Doo?
