Knowing how much the Commonwealth needs money, I could see them auctioning off these rides soon, before they loose too much value.

As I see it, yeah it sucks. There are rules set for safety of the rider and others. Unfortunately handicapped people are not able to do everything that non handicapped people can do. That is the reason they are classified handicapped. "Life sucks sometimes, and there is nothing you can do about it but suck it up and do something else." That comes from a person I know that is handicapped, he understands that he cannot do everything, so he does the best with what he can do.

And it needs to make a return to KI.

The guy on the right would be the supervisor, hence why his clothes are clean.

At one point all the areas of KI were rough terrain and needed to be paved. If if you are talking "pavers" then yes it would be expensive. But if SOB is demolished, I could see more "family" attractions (see story posted by The Interpreter http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24866 ) being installed in this area.

I loved the slides. What I remember is that these slides got very hot in the sun, which would reduce ridership. Again 1974 over today. I would take the burn just to have another ride. Again thanks for these pics, they bring me back to my childhood.

standbyme, thanks so much for sharing those photos. They are a great way to remember the park in it's glory days. These picks were taken a year before I was born, but I remember the park during the late 70's and early 80's. I really wish CF would return small things we really miss. Bring back International street. The great music that played( not the top 40 crap that I can hear anywhere), The shows are getting better. Remove all the outside restaurants like skyline, panda express, subway(except LaRosas), and bring back more unique and healthier choice foods. Anybody remember the rib pit over by the old mining store, I loved that! bring back the train to the way it used to be, not saying live actors, but the and small town and shooting cowboys and Indians.

I say bring back those operating hours!!!

These are not the same buses. The pics you posted of the one on 32 is not the KI bus. If you look the front ends are completely different.

According to wlwt webpage there is construction markers and equipment in BB. I guess we have our answer.
