  1. I say that they are for.............. six flags.
  2. I would LOVE to do an all nighter at KI! After midnight, 18 and up.
  3. I love the bright new colors in Planet Snoopy. I think the Sportacoptors need sky blue track with a neutral color support. I love Diamondback's water fall.
  4. They are switching the Gwazi trains to Millenium Fliers. That should improve the ride, but BGT's forte is steel.
  5. TO the person who mentioned Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and has not ridden it yet.... Rockit is my favorite coaster so far this year. I have ridden quite of few coasters this year that I have never ridden before. LIke the other person said, don't judge a book by it's cover, because that is what I did. The full queue line only takes 20 minutes to go through even though they say 30 to 45 minutes. There is tons of air time at the right places, and the music selections are great. Plus with the moving loading platform, it is a people eater. I rode it twice waiting 25 minutes each time, and passed the same guy who was waiting in the single rider line TWICE. My favorite FAIL / removed ride has to be Python from BGT. It was Florida's first looping roller coaster. At one time it was the only coaster to deliver a little bit of air time at the park. The foliage around the coaster was so beautiful. I nearly cried when this coaster was removed. I grew up riding it. Then they open that Jungala crap in the former Python location.
  6. I seen "Peanut" this past Sunday dancing along to that hip hop show on the bandstand. It is refreshing to see a person without a care in the world, enjoying his or herself at the park.
  7. Don't go in the rain, pain and simple. That is exactly why I did not go Friday.
  8. Another thing, why isn't anyone complaining that Diamondback is braking harder on the MCBR this season? I KNOW you guys noticed it. I love Diamondback, and THAT is not going to stop me from riding. Take Kumba at BGT for example. I have ridden Kumba a LOT, and I have never experienced a hard trim on the MCBR like I do on Diamondback. Kumba usually runs a 2 train operation, however I have been there when they run 3 trains. They MOVE those trains. Kumba is 17 years old, and I know technology has progressed since then. I know for a fact that Diamondback will stop if need be while running at full speed. I personally have that much faith in a B&M coaster. The parks on the other hand must not trust their own rides. Here is my final thought on this subject...... If you don't like it, don't do it.
  9. I have to agree with............ ...........them adding trims. At least they aren't pinch brakes like on Mean Streak. That is the dumbest thing they have ever done. If you complain about anything, complain about THAT. I have yet to ride I305, and I have a trip planned for this July. I am not going to cancel my VA trip because they added trims. It is so stupid to get worked up over stuff like this. What about food cost, drink cost, LOCKER cost? I would worry about that stuff before I complain about a trim. Take Beast's trims for example. I like the ones on the first drop and the drop into the helix. You feel the train hesitate, then lunge into the tunnels. I like them there. I have yet to hear anyone complain about BGW trimming Alpie before the first drop.
  10. If Universal Studios Florida can offer drinks at $.79 for a refill in a special cup. If Busch Gardens Tampa offers $.99 refills in their sport quarts, then Cedar Fair can do the same thing.
  11. I say it all the time. They should give it a Gemini make over. It would then be faster, safe, and smoother. I don't think they did too much modifying be adding the track where the loop was. If I remember correctly, it just zig zags and goes over a little hill. I think it would be great! Revenge of Son of Beast Son of Beast Reloaded Son of Beast Released Son of Beast II Son of Beast The Revenge: This time, it's personal. Could do the graphics similar to Vortex. It would be like a animal / machine hybrid that got loose from a testing facility. Style the trains to resemble some type of robotic creature. Once again, you aren't naming the structure, you are naming the trains. The trains give the ride it's personality. Take Diamondback and Dueling Dragons both themed around animals. Guess what, the trains look like the creatures, not the track. I think anything is possible, and hopefuly they read these forums...lol EDIT: Great marketing idea....... "He was let out to play in 2000 and escaped. This year, he's returned home to feed." "Come challenge the newly remodeled hyper coaster. Half machine, half beast. Do you have what it takes to survive Son of Beast...... again?"
  12. I don't have to read the story, I was at the park. While I only rode The Beast and Diamondback, crowds were great for a Sunday. We waited 10 minutes at the most for Diamondback, 5 for Beast. Remember, just because I have a problem with the way the park is doing things, doesn't mean everyone else does. I just expect more from a company as well known as Kings Island. Congrats to your wife for getting to ride. What did she think about Diamondback? 95% of the people I sit near comment on how smooth the coaster is. PS... I got hit in the face by flying change AGAIN....LOL
  13. I wasn't sure where to put this, but I figure trip reports would be fine. So is a POV of the ride. We did not take this btw.As some of you may know, a group of us went to St. Louis 2 weeks ago. This is the story of us sinking the Scooby ride. So anyway, Adam, Shawn, Aaron, and myself head back into the park after lunch. We decide to use our exit pass to ride this since the coasters didn't have long lines. The boats are big enough for 4 people. 2 in the front and 2 in the back. These boats are TINY. So we are ushered to the side of the boat, and was instructed to get in. Adam and Shawn in the front, me and Aaron in the back. We grab out blasters, the flume like brakes are lowered, and we HIT THE BOTTOM! Adam and I were instructed to switch seats. Now I was in front with Shawn and Adam was in back with Aaron. Brakes lowered again, we HIT BOTTOM again. Now I am thinking, I am NOT about to take the walk of shame from THIS ride with God and everyone watching! Finally, the ride attendant motioned for me to scoot toward the center. Brake lowered yet again, and we scooted off. Once we got to the ride channel the current moved more swiftly, and it was a nice ride. I noticed some scenes from our old version of SDATHC, and some different ones. Turned out to be a nice ride. The term "sinking" is used lightly. I know we did not take on water, but the fact that we hit bottom is worthy of the term.
  14. What the heck are you talking about terpy?

I guess I am going to have to get a roll back... from the way it sounds, it is a life changing experience! I like the Beemers both equally. If I had to choose which is my favorite at CP, I would have to say it is a tie between Maggie and Maverick. Both for different reasons. I choose not to vote because I have 2 favorites.
  16. I would be happy with a park full of B&M's. My entire top ten favorite steel coasters are B&M's. I disagree about B&M hypers being "same ole same ole" I have ridden Diamondback a lot, and it never get's boring. I think it get's better every time I ride it. Apollo's Chariot has a unique layout and is surrounded by foliage. It is better every time I ride it. Dominator, Kumba, Montu, SheiKra, Griffon, Alpie, all get better every time I ride them. Thing about B&M is, if they say it will work the first time, it WILL. No need to do a pull through. That must mean you aren't to convinced your creation will work right.
  17. Prowler is more violent than Diamondback. Not that it is rough, but there are times when you experience laterals as well as negatives at the same time. Yes it has a seat belt, but still I was shocked when they didn't force me to make it go more than one click on the lapbar.
  18. ^^ The only thing they can do is ban me from the forums. I won't cry over spilled milk. I will say what others are afraid to say, and if someone doesn't like it, it is THEIR problem not mine. That wasn't talking back OR having an attitude, but I can if you want me to. I was merely laughing at what was told to me. The problem with text conversations is you can not HEAR the tone that someone is trying to convey. Things get read into to deeply here. Everyone else was giving their opinions, I was giving mine. No harm, no foul. I don't take ANYONE on this forum seriously, it is just pictures and font. Furthermore, I never use profanity, slander anyone, or comment on something that doesn't mean anything to me. Until you meet someone in person, you have NO idea who they are. So to pass judgment based on one's views is wrong. Just because I think the 3 click rule on Diamondback is dumb, does not mean I pan to break any rules at Kings Island. I am merely stating that I feel completely 100% safe in any theme park attraction as long as my restraint LOCKS.
  19. LOL.......... I would be in top spin heaven... I would LOVE to ride that.
  20. I say let's do this and break the record, and set a new one at 110.
  21. I know safety is number 1 in the parks. But there is a thing call "overkill". I went to Worlds Of Fun 2 weeks ago, and rode Prowler. ( I can see why it was number 1 and DB was number 2 for best new rides in 2009.) I only got 1 click on prowler lap bars. Heck, even on Evil Kneivel (sp?) and Thinderhead I only got one click. I still felt safe. Also, for the record, Diamondback seats are smaller than seats on older B&M trains.
  22. I am all for the company to add things to make the park look nice, and I know I am going to catch heck for saying this..... BUT.... Couldn't the million bucks be used on overall park improvements, i.e. continued cobblestone work, paint, landscaping, etc? I mean I know each department has their own budget, but if they added that money to more improvements through and through, wouldn't that be better. I will remain optimistic, and I do plan to walk through the Starlight Experience to see it. I will give an honest review once said experience is revealed. EDIT: Who knows, maybe I will end up loving the Starlight Experience.
  23. Because I am giving my honest opinion like everyone else in this thread, I have been warned? You can't be serious. I am respectful to other posters, and usually don't post if i feel I don't have anything to contribute. I personally think the 3 click rule is dumb. I would feel 100% safe riding Diamondback with 1 click for that matter. But that is my OPINION. I think you need remember we live in a free country, and I am entitled to my opinions as much as the next poster. YOU have been warned! .. LMAO.
