I need a LOT of help with my 2010 park plans.
Negative-G are some awesome people. I met quite a few of them at Six Flags St Louis. SF STL wouldn't be a new park for me, but it will be for Tom. By the way, Nick, my possible trips are posted in my signature. I'm all for clean parks with enthusiastic employees.. to me, it doesn't matter how awesome your rides are if your park is filthy and your employees are rude/couldn't care less about their jobs.

I need a LOT of help with my 2010 park plans.
The trips I have planned are going to be epic. I've talked to several other people who are very much interested in going with me, or I with them, on these trips I have listed. A few of these were trips I had planned to make last year, but did not get to make. The words "rather large trip" scare me. I don't exactly have a money tree in my back yard. We will see when the time comes, but until this trip you speak of comes to life, I'm going to stick with my original plans. I have a full time job that requires a 2 week advance notice of any days off, and I'm a college student. I can't just randomly get up and go on some gigantic trip.

I need a LOT of help with my 2010 park plans.
Please read my signature for park trips I am hoping to make. Feel free to suggest any places to eat (no seafood please), amusement parks I shouldn't miss, places worth going to, zoos/aquariums, historic monuments, odd things to see, anything you think that may be of interest to me (I'm really up for anything. I love to do new things and travel to new places!). Also feel free to expand on what to eat, see, and do at one or more of the parks I have listed. I really would love to make the most of my trips this year. I know that many on here are well traveled and can help me make my trips something that will never be forgotten. Thanks in advance. <3

batty begining's to the new year
I am just now seeing this trip report. I also thought the crickets were spiders too *shudders* I didn't know that they use their antennae for surroundings or that they can't see. I'm fascinated by nature, I love learning these things. Awesome PTR, looks like you had a great time.

A question for enthusiasts...
I love traveling as well.. not just to amusement parks, but I'm also a history nerd. I have a fascination with any place or landmark that has history. Anyone who read my STL trip report or heard me talk about it knows that the Gateway Arch was my favorite part of the trip, yes, even over Six Flags.. I welcome any invitation to a drag race strip or car show.. I make my own jewelry.. I am an animal and nature lover, and I enjoy zoos, nature preserves, state parks and aquariums as much as I enjoy amusement parks.. and with over 1100 songs on my iPod, I will say that I am a music lover too.. I also enjoy sampling new and interesting foods from different countries, cultures, and cities.. I also enjoy new activities and learning to do new things.. there is so much that I am enthusiastic about, it would take me all day to tell you..

A question for enthusiasts...
I'd say I'm an enthusiast, when I could tell just by listening to a coaster for the first time that it had PTC trains, without even looking at the trains.. I also immediately identified a GCI without knowing that it was one.. I had 3 season passes and a coaster club membership card in my wallet last year.. and when I saw Ninja at Six Flags STL for the first time, I immediately said "that looks like a cross between a Vekoma and an Arrow" without knowing that it indeed is.. I've sacrificed sleep many times to go to amusement parks.. RCDB is in my drop down menu of most visited websites.. I could go on and on..

What are you planning on doing first...
I'm not sure what I'll do first. Probably run for DB. I miss it.

Fountains Gone Next Year?
I had a CP employee tell me in 2008 that CP was getting an Intamin Aquatrax coaster for 2009. Don't believe everything you hear.

ride times
I've waited 3 hours for Maverick at Cedar Point. TOTALLY worth it. I absolutely LOVE Maverick.

Blue Ice Cream
I had a chocolate vanilla swirl custard at CP last year (I got it somewhere in the back of the park, I can't remember the name of the place).. I agree, it was amazing. Far better than any ice cream I've ever had.

How far do you live from the park?
65 miles. I live north of Dayton in the Troy area. Takes me a little over an hour.

A Snowy Carousel Ride
Those were Kat (violakat03)'s exact words last year! And "Why do they have no music on the carousel, but they play the carousel music up front by the entrance?" Seriously.. why do they have no music on the carousel, but they play the carousel music up front by the entrance?..

A decade of Roller Coasters
I've met so many amazing people from this website, from other websites, from KI and from other amusement parks, traveled to so many new parks and experienced so many different things in the world of amusement parks, from rides to events to random things to tears, laughter, photos, inside jokes, road trips, and music.. I don't even know where to begin with my biggest moment. I can't even begin to thank every one of you that made my 2009 trips worth talking about, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Krazy City Closes
That's where I first met Kat (violakat03), who is now one of my best friends.

Six Flags: Play Passes and Season Passes
What is the difference (pricing, benefits, etc.)? I plan to visit at least 3 Six Flags parks in 2010, and I am really not sure which one is the best buy. I don't plan to add parking to a pass, because I will likely be traveling with a few others who have parking on theirs. Thanks in advance.

I would do anything
I hear ya! This year on Cedar Point opening day, I rode Magnum XL-200 in heavy rain with the trim off. Tom76257 and I also rode Legend at Holiday World in a raging downpour. Those rides were extremely cold and painful.. but I won't hesitate to say I'd definitely do it again. Have also ridden: Maverick at CP during an approaching storm, Millennium Force at CP in light rain (youch!), got my 100th ride on DB in a downpour.. And my BEST ride EVER: Voyage during HoliWood Nights 09, at night in the pitch black, with lightning bolts flashing in the sky, on a wet track, and the train FLYING over the MCBR as if it weren't even there. NOTHING has even come close to topping that one.

I would do anything
I went to Cedar Point on closing day for the past two years. Try riding Millennium Force and Magnum XL-200 in November temps with a significant breeze blowing off of Lake Erie. Even with 2 layers of socks, leggings under my pants, gloves, an insulated hat, 2 long sleeved shirts, a sweater, and a down coat.. I was STILL cold. But yes.. I would really like a ride on Voyage right about now.. or Maverick..

I could use some help.
Oh I have just as much fun at zoos, aquariums, and nature preserves as I do at amusement parks. I am absolutely in love with nature, and historic landmarks. In fact, I enjoyed the St Louis Arch 10 times more than I enjoyed Six Flags STL.. no, I'm not joking. I'm sort of a live for the moment kind of girl, but I also like to have some things planned out. That's why I'm asking for advice on where I should go. Most of the long coaster trips will likely be done with a group so we can all save money. I just recently became enthusiast, and I LOVE to travel to new parks to see what they have to offer. I HIGHLY doubt I will burn out any time soon.. I'm just getting started!

I could use some help.
(well, we ALL know I need help, but that's not the point here ) I plan to visit several new parks in 2010. Please see my signature for parks I wish to visit. This is actually a smaller list that has been narrowed down! I would really like to know the good things and the bad things about any or all of these parks. I've done exhaustive research only to find that there are more and more parks around the parks I want to visit. I'm at a point where I just want opinions, I am overwhelmed with the amount of parks that are out there. I don't know where to start mapping out what parks.. the ones I want to go to, the ones to hit along the way, the ones I might pass up along the way.. aaahh! My biggest wish for next year is Worlds of Fun. I know for a fact that I want to go to Hershey, SFGAdv, Lakemont, and Indiana Beach. Carowinds and KD are a given. I am really not sure what the others have to offer. As much as I enjoy coasters (woodies being my favorite!), I do care about landscaping/scenery, park layout, quality of food, pricing of food and admission, what shows are worth seeing, quality of service, any special offers they may have, and anything else you feel is worth mentioning. Any and all help is appreciated. Feel free to be honest and give details. Thank you VERY MUCH.

James Bond 007 Ride
My favorite was the Days of Thunder. That was and is still one of my favorite movies, so I really enjoyed that one. The James Bond was good too. I liked it when Action Theater actually had action movies in it.

Merry Christmas from Cedar Point & Cedar Fair!
I added it to my favorites too! That was entertaining. I like that the CP/CF staff has a sense of humor.

Cedar Fair: Sale? Re-Finance? What Next?
Gabriel, that right there is why I love you. I too was a bit shocked when I heard the news that CF had been sold, but I quickly got over it. I didn't expect a sale to come this soon. IMO, we need to have faith that these guys know what they are doing. CF is a very high profile and very large company. Apollo has to know what they are dealing with. At least CF is calling out for help with their debt any way they can, instead of continuing to dig themselves into a hole like Six Flags is.

CEDAR FAIR TO BE SOLD?!?!?!
Kind of not shocked, but I didn't see it coming this soon. Who the heck is Apollo Mgt anyway? Glad I didn't buy my CF platinum pass yet. I hope these people know what they are doing.
