A kudos to the moderators
To be honest I joined this site just to get the text update for Diamondbacks announcement. I hadn't been on for a while and on another website there was a member that told me to check out this site more because I recognized his user name. Beast1979 pointed me back to this site and I am so glad I am back. I am a member on a lot of different forums but none of them have have been this awesome. You guys really do a great job in keeping the spam out and the KI talk in. Other forums are very rude and just make you feel like you did something wrong. Great job! Thanks for the awesome community!

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
From my experience on B&M hypers they are very jerky and whip you around a lot (which I love ). The inversions on the stand ups and inverts are really tight and can whip you around in your seat a lot. But hypers are awesome. I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do!

I'm guessing that that might be because it has inversions. For a hyper coaster, it will be pretty much as smooth as silk.

Disney Profits Decline 32 Percent; Shares Down 10 Percent
Shot through the heart! No that's very disappointing. At least they are still going through with the Space Mountain refurb.

Diamondback's train arrival
It was snowing at my school almost all day and we didn't get out early. Lucky. I can't wait to see the trains though. I have never seen these types of trains before and they look amazing. Everyone will get a great view and those outside seats look like tons of fun. EDIT: We only have about an inch out here in Morrow. Where is all of this snow people are talking about?!

How much would your pay for the first ride?
I'm very new here, so sorry I didn't realize there was 2 other topics. I'll make sure before I post a topic I check first. You really don't have to be so testy! This site is great by the way! I'm just learning how to work the forums. Thanks! I'm so sorry if I sounded snappy. I was new here to a little while ago. No anger was intended. My bad.

Only "whiplash" you might feel will be in =probably entering the mcbr from the sudden banking to normal of the helix. Right when it snaps you back to level when you enter the mcbr you might feel a little "whip" action but B&Ms are smooooooth. You will love it!

Grr No more snow! I'm pretty sure I will be heading over to the park on Saturday because I was invited to an off-season returning employee party by a friend from my old crew. It's in the Festhaus but hopefully I can get some pictures if at all possible.

Umm there's like 2 other topics about the same thing? Can't we just ask this question there?

Kings Island Is Looking For More Than 4,000 Seasonal Associates for the 2009 Season, Ride Warriors Weekend & More!
But didn't you get an email to set up an interview? Yeah, but I didn't get the job. I'd rather work somewhere closer anyway XD Ohh I'm sorry for bringing it up. I hope you find a great alternative.

The Beast 1979 video
I was waiting in line for The Beast and we had just gotten up the ramo and into the station when I saw a teenager walking back behind the station, almost underneath it, to go get his basketball he dropped. Are you kidding me!

The Beast 1979 video
*gasp* Children doing unsafe things?! What a terrible world...I hope they at least disenfected the bars and sanitized everything first....ahh the good old days. Well, back then people behaved. There were far fewer accidents then than now. Parents taught their children that amusement attractions were dangerous machines, and the riders were expected to (and did) behave. I wish someone had had that talk with the poor guy that had the accident with Batman. I hate people that do stupid stuff on coasters and act like their life is in no way in danger. As the horrible Capri Sun commercial would say, "Respect the Coaster! Respect it!"

The Beast 1979 video
I just watched that again and saw that. It just pops right up there and it is pretty much dead center. That would be cool if that's on purpose. Kind of like a hidden Mickey!

Disneyland: "It's A Small World" Gets Musical Makeover
Ohhh He pulled it off again! However I prefer WDW. I still need to get out to DLR though, maybe this summer.

What ride @ KI is most missed?
I remember being scared to go down the big hill at the end of the old log flume and telling my dad to that I was scared. He told me he would tell the guy at the top of the hill to stop it and so did everyone else in the log. They just waved at him and I was terrified but it was one of my most memorable moments on a long gone ride!

Disneyland: "It's A Small World" Gets Musical Makeover
Oh don't worry I love that song no matter how annoying. As you can tell by the username, I love everything Disney.

Disneyland: "It's A Small World" Gets Musical Makeover
I don't really mind the musical changes but don't put in Disney characters. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the Disney characters but this ride is a classic. It sends the message of bringing the world together in peace, not trying to spot our your favorite Disney characters in the different scenes. Yeah the attraction might see some more crowds but don't turn the ride into an spy game.

Trains
That's not a stupid question. I didn't know the answer either. I also saw a picture of a bunch of Cedar Point's coaster trains in the parking lot for the Hotel Breakers. EDIT: And for your next question I'm just taking an educated guess here. At SoB we would call "wood coaster" to come out and pull the trains into their "beds" at the end of the day so I'm guessing the wood coaster trains are there? And the steel coasters in the steel coaster maintenance shed?

Official Details on Kings Island's Ride Warriors Weekend! (ERT Info Released!)
Make up for it? A two day event with 3 ERT sessions, walkbacks and more, making up for the Season Pass Preview Night? Doubt it. OK, I meant for me then. I'm assuming at least one ERT session will be on Diamondback, so that's what I was thinking. I'm still going to try to come. Yeah I was thinking that too. One has to be on DB. I am going to definitely try to come to this, it sounds like tons of fun!

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
^It does look like you will be very close to the track when walking to go through the entrance on The Crypt. Or are they going to be changing something with that? I can only think of one other coaster where the park actually trusts the guest of the park with putting a coaster and path so close to each other. Griffon. I cannot believe that there isn't something where that bridge is where the coaster flies right under you after the first drop. An idiot could easily hurt someone on the coaster. But it does allow for a great picture op.

New ride for 2010?
Well weren't Hypersonic XLC's wheels like car tires? http://www.coastergallery.com/2000/pkd38.html Well according to Joel Rogers they are airplane tires!
