  1. That's what I was kinda thinking too. Just make the old exit the new entrance and exit. I really don't think there will be enough room to keep the pre-existing entrance where it is.
  2. This is where there putting it?? From Twitter
  3. I hope to see a new 3D ride in place of spongebob. Especially since that will be an area of focus for the off-season. Spongebob is getting really old.
  4. The first picture is just both halves of the Nickelodeon Central sign, but the second picture does look like spongebob and patrick. Interesting find.
  5. I didn't see it mentioned on here anywhere, but Disney Parks is going to be unveiling it's exciting plans today! Here's the link.
  6. I miss Hanna Barbara. Great find though!
  7. The only things I really collect are shot glasses. I have 20+ that are from KI. I also have a lot of tee's from KI too. Mainly cause I worked in merchandise when all the paramount stuff went on sale.
  8. They never really close the Haunt website, but here is the url. http://haunt.visitkingsisland.com/ It just hasn't been updated yet.
  9. Just an FYI. Here are all the severe storm shelters I can remember from working there: under Invertigo, under the stage in Kings Island Theatre, in those pod looking things at BLST, under FOF station, inside the Crypt(not exactly sure where inside), under the Timberwolf stage, and in action theatre. These are the only ones I can remember, and they may have added some since 2007.
  10. News Plus Notes is having a Poll for your Favorite Operating U.S. Wooden Racing Coaster? It's on the left sidebar.
  11. Actually, most of the things that have been mentioned the park employees do not do. Have you seen a park employees making improvements to The Crypt? Or maybe park employees working on the Tower Gardens waterfalls? This is the kind of thing we will try to do. I myself will enjoy doing these things. I agree with you Coney Island Rocks. It sounds like those who do want to be a part of something like this are interested in improving/enhancing the park.
  12. That webcam icon has been on there site since before I worked there in 2007.
  13. I really don't know where to post this, so I'm just gonna do it here. I was at the park tonight and the SOB crate was gone. There was a nice little garden in its place. Also they moved the entrance gate down a little, so you cant even tell the line used to be there. It's kind of like the park is slowly erasing any remenants of the ride. It makes me think that it will never re-open.
  14. I am surprised no one mentioned Beast's Queue. They did some off-season work in there. They took down the front/ rear divider that started at the bottom of the ramp, and they also removed some of the walls in the beginning of the line. Anyone else notice?
  15. The ride was awesome! The ending really got me. It was different, but in a good way.

I kept running into closed rides all day. Invertigo, Delirium, Beast, BLSC, Red Racer, FOF, Firehawk, and even Flight Deck at one point. Like I know little things happen, but closed rides was the theme of the day.
  17. Jasper I would totally help you out! I would love to see it like it was when i was younger! This sounds like a great idea. Hopefully we could get something good started. I think if a program like this was created that there would be some kind of reward . Example: like ERT or something of that nature for helping pull weeds all day.
  18. I work at Lebanon Kroger and we just got our tickets in. Here are the prices: 34.99 for a single day adult 29.99 for a single day jr./sr. 48.99 for pay once visit twice They went up since last year, but you do save a dollar if you buy them through KI's website. EDIT: and Terp was right; the further your kroger is from KI the cheaper the tickets.
  19. I really don't get why they answered this. I was just replying to a comment made by someone else, it wasn't really a question.

I donno if you can notice from my picture, but from what I can see the whole facade of SDatHC is still intact. So they must not be changing that. Here it is by its self....

I had to go to the verizon store today and just happened to have my camera, so I took this for all my KICers.
  23. I have never ridden the Texas Giant, but I have a question for those who have... Is it as rough and/or rougher then SOB? Or is SOB worse?
  24. I know this has been discussed on the forums already, but I figured I would create a poll to see how many people were looking forward to seeing it. I for one can't wait to see it. It looks really good, plus I think Johnny Depp is a great actor.
  25. I have a feeling the site designs will go like this..... Carowinds, California's Great America, King's Dominion, King's Island, then Canada's Wonderland. My reasoning is that this is the order that the parks open. Just a guess!
