What is an absolute must-ride @ nite :)
My first Beast night ride was last year, on our last trip to the park during Haunt. I will say, do WHATEVER it takes to make very sure you experience this ride at night!

Future of Big Dipper meeting
I would honestly be happy if it were simply restored and placed somewhere as a Historic Monument... even if it were to never run again due to the aforementioned safety items not being present. They dock ships and make museums out of them all the time, why not something with the significace of BD? On top of that, it would be a nice little "HA, you couldn't destroy everything" to a certain individual.

First looping coaster?
Oh wow, I grew up in Duh Moines and I totally forgot about Dragon. Now that you bring that up, Adventureland was where I rode my first coaster ever. it was a little coaster with a Swiss Mountain theme and individual cars that looked like 1950s era Indy cars. my second and third coasters ridden were there also... Super Screamer and Tornado. Thanks for the memories indianapolisman :-)

First looping coaster?
My first was Orient Express, in 1998 when I was 24. I was persuaded (shamed) into getting on by a couple of buddies I went to the park with, and it was absolutely great. It also got me mentally prepared (sort of) for my next ride, which was Mamba. They used the B.S. line of "Dont worry man, Mamba's lift hill is only 70 feet higher, you will hardly notice" to get me on that one.

Oh I couldnt agree with you more about not allowing softdrinks in Rob... I find no fault in that whatsoever. Like I said, it doesnt bother me in the slightest to pay to have my Firehawk cup filled... or getting the wristband when I am alone at the park and dont have a non-rider to hold the cup.

Excuse the double post but I have to give an LOL at Beatle's post abouty dashboard dining relating to KI addiction. Dont worry, we are far from being in that category and we often do the same thing so breakfast doesnt interfere with our arrival time.

OK, I stand corrected here on one point, and wish to correct two others. iChase brought up the funnel cakes, and my Wife and I do usually get a couple of those on the way out. As far as eating in the lot or leaving "turning our backs on K.I." I beg to differ. I am not turning my back on the park, simply the individual who feels it is proper to sell products at a rediculously high mark-up... or allow those franchises within his park to gouge in similar manner (Subway comes to mind). If gas stations charged $5 a gallon "just becasue they could" the public would be SCREAMING for the Govt to do something about it... its the same process with different merchandise. And thirdly, in relation to water, we have repeatedly walked through security with bottled water and have not once been glanced at nor questioned. In fact, when we asked a member of the security staff at the delay boxes.. I mean metal detectors... whether or not bottled water was allowed, we were told precisely this "As long as the liquid in the bottle is clear and obviously not a soft drink of some variety its fine."

Its SO nice to be of (well more than) legal driving age. The ONLY thing I ever buy in-park is refills on my Firehawk cup... otherwise its west bound and down... usually to Ruby Tuesday... to get some (usually) wonderful food with far greater variety and the ability to partake in a martini if I so choose. I figure if Im going to spend 30 to 40 bucks on food for my Wife and I... its going to be GOOD food.

Budweiser Most Likely Leaving NASCAR
To do something I never thought I would do and quote Interpreter.... My head hurts!! Where on God's green Earth do these elitist fools from In-Bev think that 80% or more of the Budweiser buying public come from????? They come from the SPORTS ENTHUSIAST sector. Do they all of a sudden think that just becasue they own the company that the clientele is going to instantly transform itself from everyday Americans to the Mercedes and BMW crowd? If they are depending on that economic sector, I predict we see In-Bev Busch going the way of SIX within 3 to 5 years as the types that they seem to be wanting to cater to are far more inclined to be holding a true imported malt beverage or a martini. Fools

Whats the tallest roller coaster youve ridden
Since I have never been to CP, and highly doubt I ever will, my tallest coaster will be Diamondback. As far as ones I have currently ridden to date, my top 3 have been Wild Thing at Valleyfair!, Mamba at Worlds of Fun,and Wicked Twister at GL and also Valleyfair!

Diamondback Testing - Photos and Video, First Ride Auction, Vote For KICentral & More!
What is actually making people nervous (myself included) is the fact that the DB trains are completely open. Not only do you have a LOT of space between yourself and fellow riders, but there is absolutely no "car" surrounding you to speak of. You will be able to simply openly glance to your side and watch the ground getting smaller... and smaller... and smaller. What makes this more intense and intimidating than even Dominator is.. even though Dominator is floorless, one still has their co-riders in very close proximity whereas here... its all you baby. I have no problems admitting Im a wuss when it comes to heights, and I can pretty much guarantee I will have my eyes closed for the duration of the lift hill climb simply becasue of that exposed feeling.

Never Been To Kings Island
Best resturaunt = getting in your car and driving the 2 blocks (or less) to any of the fast food joints, or Ruby Tuesday depending on your tastes/financial desires. Regardless of your choise, you will be better of in price and quality.

No Twins in 2009 for SFKK....
Rc, I truly wouldnt doubt if you get your wish within 2 years tops. Anyone who wishes to doubt this should simply turn the pges of time back to 2006 and 2007, and look towards Aurora, OH. It seems as if SF is taking some "knowledge" from CF, and some eerily similar things are happening. Close and remove (or in this case simply block off) an entire section of a park, with two major rides SBNO and let the rest of the park fold. Soon, WAH LA... waterpark only. Hopefully in the case of SFKK, they will at least add the sides you are wishing them to add.

Walking Through a Snowy Kings Island, Diamondback is Complete, Season Passes, 2009 Auditions & More!
HAHAHAHA!! Ok that was good, simply becasue it gave me the mental image of the 1st Annual KI Snowmobile races around the Midway

Walking Through a Snowy Kings Island, Diamondback is Complete, Season Passes, 2009 Auditions & More!
That is all fine and good, but sunny and calm on Saturday does not change the fact that there will be 6 to 8 (or more) inches of snow on the ground surrounding the D-Back construction site. How will this affect the planned tour?

First Opportunity to Ride Diamondback
I honestly do not think anyone is upset at Ryan, and yes I do think the phrase "dont shoot the messenger" comes to mind. I think he is the unfortunate bearer of news that some think is unjust, and is catching the venting that some would rather aim towards the representatives of the organization that, in their eyes, wronged them. I am one who was definitely looking forward to SPPN, mainly due to the fact that I am willing to bet that the vast majority of those in attendance would have been coaster enthusiasts who have more respect while in the LARGE lines than the general public do. Ive got personal thoughts on why this information was allowed to be publicized soon after the "buy now pay later" cutoff passed, but I in no way, shape, or form hold any ill will toward, nor do I put any blame on, Ryan. I will say that, this is what makes credit card purchases great.

Indy: Indoor Theme Park Part of Mall Revival Plan
Yeah no kidding... BIG suprise there. I also Love how the mall spokesperson says "Heres the thing, its a great mall." Suuuuuuuuuure, if you want to go there before sundown, and if you wish to be constantly thinking about the risk of walking out to a broken into or stolen car the whole time you are shopping. So, anyone for a slightly used indoor go-kart track at KI for those rainy or chilly early or late season days?? LOL

Geauga Lake Eyed For Big Box Sprawl
Wait a minute, did I just correctly read that its a BAD thing to be able to ride ALL the rides you wish in less than 3 hours???? I would LOVE to be able o go to KI and ride FOF, Firehawk (once), Vortex, Beast, BLSC and DB in less than 3 hours!!!!!!!! Oh wait a minute, I did (except DB obviously) last year during a weekday in August and I LOVED IT!! Lets see, wait in 6 hours worth of lines to ride approx. 20 minutes worth of rides.... OOOORRRR... ride rides I really enjoy 2,3, or more times in a row in 3 hours time. Sorry, thats a no-brainer to someone who is NOT well suited to large large crowds. I pay my $150 for a Platinum Pass to ride rides, not wait in line for hours with a bunch of basketball bouncers. I understand there must be attendance to maintain a parks viability, but there is definitely an equal balance of fun to wait ratio and if we could all have a full weekend day of walk on rides at KI as opposed to 3 hours for Maverick at CP we would all, without exception, JUMP at the chance.

+Geauga Lake+
Honestly Interpreter, becasue I was not sure how well received they would be here.

Sad Geauga Lake Video
Yes, I have been following that as closely as my lack of insider juice allows me to.

Indy: Indoor Theme Park Part of Mall Revival Plan
I will definitely give a +1 in agreement to the fact this is going to crash and burn. Im sorry, but simply driving anywhere within a 2 square mile radius of LFS Mall will convinve the "tourists" that Xscape is attempting to attract that they have made a less than wise or desireable choice of attractions to visit. A big RIGHT ON to Terpy in the respect that I too am MUCH more suited to Fishers, Carmel, or Avon.

Sad Geauga Lake Video
Uggggh, YUCK! Yes, you are SO right about that vid being sad. I saw that shortly after it came out, as I was going through YouTUbe and watching/saving every single solitary Geauga Lake tribute vid I could find. My Wife calls it torture LOL, and asks me why I save and keep watching the tribute vids when they literally bug me to the point of tears every time I watch them. I just say to Her lightheartedly "Its a park thing hon, if you have to ask, you wouldnt understand" borrowing from a popular phrase Jeep owners use.
