What is the point of trim brakes? As the roller coasters age, are they not capable of safely maintining top speeds?

I'm thinking about going to the park Saturday, although not for the KI Central day, just to go on rides. Are t hey expecting heavy crowds on Saturday? If so I might just wait for Sunday.

I couldn't find a thread on this. Kings Island is advertising pass renewal for $80, I am assuming that this is not for the platinum pass, is that correct? http://www.visitkingsisland.com/rsvp/rsvp_form.cfm

I can't really imagine my company buying out the park for the day, they really emphasize keeping administrative costs low. If I called that # would they be able to tell me? There is a 1-800 # listed to order the tickets from, I wonder if they would be able to tell me.

We are having a company day at the park, has anyone ever been to one of these? It says that the park will be closed to the GP. Do other companies usually attend as well? Will the park be pretty much empty? The huge downside is I can't use my platinum pass. I'm always on the first or 2nd train. Then I hit up FOF before the line gets too long for that as well.

Unfortunately I had to work 230-1030 yesterday. The girl I went with is my assistant manager, so we had a bit of trouble getting the same day off. Firehawk's line always seems to be long when I go, but IMO it's very much worth the wait. I always seem to completely forget the blistering hot, painfully slow-moving queue when I get in the seat and fasten that silver buckle My longest wait EVER for FH was about 10 minutes. I've been on it about 4 times.

Nick and Jessica were in the park like 5 years ago together. I wonder if they will be making a return as well. lol

I was at Cedar Point for 3 days last week, the music at Soak City is just as bad with the repetition, if not worst, I think they actually had less songs playing there.

I'm leaving for Cedar Point at 4 am. I'll at Cedar Point the 31st, 1st and 2nd. I'm hoping to get Maverick and Millinum both in during ERT. Then head to Dragster before the line is too long. I was there a year ago on the 30th and 31st of July, one of the days there we had Raptor pretty much all to ourselves for an hour during ERT, that was great Edit: Is it possible to enter the park by breakers even if you aren't staying there? That would be great as it would be way closer to Maverick. If so do they let platinum passholders in at 9 from that gate?

When I was there 2 weekends ago I went on Vortex at night time, last row, I normally go front row. It was a totally different ride and I was blown away. Vortex is always a blast at night though. Then I was able to ride the last running ride of the nite on Beast, that was fantastic!. It was running really fast, and when we were pulling into the station everyone was chanting "one more time" really loud. They didn't let us have another though. Also definitly do Firehawk at opening, I always get on the first or 2nd ride of the day, no wait at all.

I know exactly what song you are talking about!! I was complaining about that song big time! And if I hear that song from Grease one more time I will jump off the top of a water slide!

Im at the water park right now. i swear Ive heard the same beach boys songs 20 times already. we are about to go to the dry side for the water rapids. thank goodness

Im currently in line for The Beast, last in line for the last ride of the night. we just got the all clear after the fire works. this is awesome!

Was anyone at the Park last weekend? How long were the waits for Firehawk, Faceoff, Delirium, and The Beast? For both Saturday and Sunday. Edit: Also how crowded was Boomerang Bay? Thanks

Will there be early ride times this sunday? If so are they are Delirium and Invertigo? Has anyone taken advantage of the ERT yet this year? If so, how did it go?
