Not necessarily. By the time Maverick was announced, a good portion of the ride had already gone up. Or was the entire track up? I can't remember. I just know that a lot of track construction had been done before the announcement was made. Yeah, I couldn't see KI getting this much done already just to stop so people don't see that much construction. I think the construction throughout the year will give the park good press and bring some excitement to draw some people that may not normally visit (even before they announce it). Yeah, good point guys. It's pretty easy to tell it's something and most of the GP would jump to the "new roller coaster" conclusion anyway. So might as well go ahead and roll in the steel.

I would guess that they wouldn't have parts (obvious coaster parts) sitting around during the year until they announce. That's assuming that they announce it this year. I doubt they will though.

Can anyone say hazard? So, wow, I'm really excited now. They really got the lead out. I'm impressed. With the footings it seems pretty obvious that it's a coaster. At least that's what my completely untrained eye caught. Boddah, since you said there will not be a lake for 2008 would that mean that it will return, just not next season? I'm also assuming that the path will reopen for 2009, correct?

I think I can see that it's raised. Maybe they modernized the old one too much. It's ok, but not great.

I'm beginning to think that I need a car. I'm driving a Honda Element which if you take aerodynamic and think of something completely opposite of it you have my Element. I get maybe 19 MPG on a good day. I have to drive 60+ miles to get to KI so I might see myself going less. I'm really considering replacing most of my travels with a bicycle. I only live two miles from my school which is basically the only place I drive. On a side note, I see absolutely no reason except for greed in not avidly developing a good, cheap alternative fuel. That's all I'll say on that in an effort not to rock the boat.
