  1. Does anyone have another link to this video? The uploaded has removed t from YouTube.
  2. Years and years ago, I told my Aunt this while riding AE. Our group had split up for a bit, we went to ride Racer and AE, while rest went to ride Sonny. She hated Racer, but liked Big Thunder Mountain down at Disney, so I figured AE would be a good choice (which she did like). We're on the lift hill, and I pointed over to Sonny and told her that was rest of the ride. That look on her face was priceless
  3. The front page post are in BB code, not HTML. ([ b] vs. < b>). It says the error is in "conf_global.php", which if I remember correctly, has a whole bunch of random settings for the forum.
  4. Does only Dane have access to the files, or does only Dane know how to edit the files?
  5. I really need to get the Sea-Dragon credit. It's by far the closest roller coaster to where I live, yet I've never taken a ride on it.
  6. Structures are not made to fall apart. Coasters are thouroughly checked daily due to the stress/ pressure the support structure endures from the movement & weight of each passing train. If there are no trains (aka SBNO) the ride should stay structurally sound minus some support beams that have loosened due to weathering. These few fallen beams will not make the structure collapse. Much older coasters, have survived much longer (Conneaut Lake Park's Blue Streak comes to mind http://www.rcdb.com/249.htm) and have not collapsed. While I agree that it shouldn't collapse, didn't the hill partially collapse during construction?
  7. Yea, I'm fairly certain that this is nothing new.
  8. COSI's was actually removed this fall. I was at COSI in January and It is sill there. Really? That's good to hear. I went over the summer and there were signs that said they were planning on removing it over the winter, and your last chance to ride it was in the fall. Of course it was down the day I went. COSI's site still says the ride is/was scheduled to close. http://dev.cosi.org/visitors/exhibits/big-science-park/generotor/
  9. Disappointed (making my first trip there this summer for Holiwood Nights), but thanks for the heads up. And it is indeed on their Facebook.
  10. Random question, but how does Timberliners compare to other typical wooden coaster trains, in terms of weight? (I know GravityGroup would be stupid to make trains for SOB, just curious if these trains are on the heavy side too.)
  11. One of the heads of the trains appeared on eBay a year or so ago.
  12. The name of the ride is not changing. I love the random chime ins. Hope it stays around!
  13. Never really eat inside the park. Outside of the park? Well, it's not in Mason, but coming from the north we always pass Denny's (which we do not have in Columbus for some reason......) Almost every trip home from Kings Island involves a stop at Denny's. (Already discovered that there is one by Holiday World.... )
  14. I've had the opposite happen on Diamondback where at the bottom of the hill the G's push the restraint down a click, making me feel stapled in.
  15. Thanks for answering questions and joining in to add random facts!
  16. I've heard from many people that it was not removed for Flight of Fear (infact, one side still had the bunny hill while the path went underneath it), but was removed to make for a longer break run. I've always been curious if the chain on the large hill on The Racer (right before the ride splits for the turn around) was ever needed.
  17. Same message is poping up again. I think what happened was your accidentially had the wrong index up a few days ago, and that's probably when Google checked it. Everything seems okay now, so you might want to re-submit it again.
  18. It would be in our dual-loading station. Train A&B are in the station. When train A dispatches, train C immediatly enters the station (this is where the time is saved). Once train A finished it's cycle, it waits for train B to dispatch, and take it's spot. Repeat.
  19. A train would not always be waiting. The time saving comes from when one train is currently running the course, the another train would be in the station to start the unloading/loading process.
  20. Mantis also doesn't have a duel loading station. Currently when a train leaves the station, that side remains empty until the train completes it's cycle. With a third train, you could start the unloading/unloading process. If Firehawk cycle is two minutes long, then in theory save two minutes per train. Although it's a small amount, it can add up.
  21. Not too much different then standing in Firehawk's line. (Worst case senario, they could put up those shades over the breakrun).
  22. Wow, thanks for sharing!
  23. Yea, as long as it's clean. The index that I see right now is the same one. Do you need any help?
