Tomb Raider on Travel Channel
Well I know alot of parks put sand in the rails to make the ride quieter, never heard of gravel though, even though it must work. Gotta keep it down so the neighbors who moved in don't complain.

Now call me a party pooper, but what's the point? Sounds stupid to me...

Cicadas and Boomerang bay
It certainly is a concern for the park. If you think not, you're definately wrong because it ends up costing them money. Alot of people don't like bugs, so they won't go out during this period of time to visit the park. Now I dread having this summer with them as well I hate bugs and I have to have eight hour football practices outside in them, where hopefully the turf will scare them away. Maybe at PKI they won't have them as bad, but certainly here in Kentucky there are expected to be hundreds of thousands so it certainly is a concern whether you believe it or not.

cicadas
If you wanna see some real ones, come over to my side of the river when they come up. We're supposed to get hundreds of thousands.

Only SOME of the surprise?
No, you know its bad when Cincy Public cancels school - either that or someone on the road crews in Cincinnati really needs to be fired. Cincinnati Public Schools cancels quite alot if you ask me. My school (Fort Thomas Public) cancelled school this year once for the first time in almost 10 years. While I know this is a PKI board, but come on, two or three inches of snow is not bad at all. I come from Chicago and well all that is is snow. The reason for schools being cancelled so often down here is that the road crews aren't competent enough and don't have enough trucks or equipment to clear the streets. They are totally different climates pretty much, but one would think they would get more equipment to keep the roads clean. In Illinois you could get a foot of snow overnight and the roads be clear when you wake up. It's not bad, it's just the cities lack of equipment to get their job done.

Now if I was your girlfriend/boyfriend you'd be out the door in a heartbeat if you cancelled a date for a TV show...

Question about Opening Day
When I went two years ago, when Tomb Raider opened, the park was pretty crowdwed, but it doesn't stack up to those BAFFD's.
-
PKIU DAY!
I'll be there, but not sure of meeting up. I probably won't be there all day or I may be. Of course my main mission is pictures and depending on lighting and such I'll be around on my own to each individual ride as lighting permits. So we'll see.

Roll Call: PKI Opening Day
I should be there, but not riding much. I'll be there taking pictures for PKIU and might try to ride a couple rides. I'm on Spring Break then so I'll be hoping to have at least one hundred photos from opening day. Perhaps if Aaron goes I'll be with him?

What's new, coaster wise, for PKI?
Ok, we can't all go believing what people say and we need to learn that. If we all believed what other people said this world would be very bad and as many questions as you ask about the park Drewbari, I'd get more sources before believing anything.

PKI Websites Lack of updates?
I'm assuming before we all complain for lack of updates and such how long it takes to update a website and keep it busy. I'm sure Aaron could along with myself. I spend upwards of at least an hour a day all the way up to six hours a day updating. It really is hard work.

What's new, coaster wise, for PKI?
I think he was asking if there were any upgrades of some sort for this year. The only one I know is some stuff to do with Beast for it's 25th. We'll have to wait and see.

3 SoB Trains?
They say that with delays that happen in the station most of the time that the 3 trains on the track would cause them to stop in the block brakes. I also heard something about changes in the design at the end ended up not allowing for the third train.

Your childhood first coaster
My first coaster would be The Beastie, and the coaster that started me with my fascination had to be FOF.

pki unlimited addicts
During the season, maybe 2-3 times a day. During the offseason, unless something big is happening, once every two days seems about right for me.

Cool Vortex Photo...
He took a picture, selected the background, and did a motion blur. If you know what you're doing it can be achieved in really a matter of minutes.

Delirium`
That's exactly what the Media Kit I got at Media Day says.

"Gold Pass" Benefits
Hey that's good for the people that do use them isn't it? I won't use the double rides on SOB because once a day is enough for me on that torturing beast!
-
The Night the Lights Went Out in PKI
As you can see, with the floodlights, that Delirium is lit up really well. I don't think there is a need for lights on the ring because it is lit up by the floodlights that light up the structure as illustrated by this picture.

The Night the Lights Went Out in PKI
I think Delirium looks great how it is lit now. If you haven't seen it, check out the photo gallery. I do think, however, that some rides need more light. Vortex would look nice lit up at night, along with Racers. I'm not sure about Face/Off, but if they'd light that sucker up as they do Invertigo at SFGA the ride would look amazing.
