CF may not want it to be huge news if SoB is to be operating in '07. With all the deserved & undeserved bad press the ride has received over the past 6 years, quietly opening it would be the best GR direction to go. There is already a general negative feeling about the ride, and if one more thing would go wrong, even a minor incident, could seal the ride's fate. The quiet approach, for now is the best way to go. After the ride starts back up w/o incident, then broadcast the good news. The fact remains the media loves bad press in this case SoB.

I dont do any thing that starts with Forbidden,Creepy,Scary,Haunted,Fear in the name so like you klockster I dont really attend fearfest it isnt my cup of tea I went last year I had fun but I quickly became bored with FearFest so I left sorta early.I was really hoping that the park would be open in NOV so I could attend the park one last time without attending FearFest I wanted to ride The Beast,SDATHC,Avatar,Racer etc.And buy some Scooby-Doo Merch and Spongebob Merch for my nephew any merch really.. I guess I wont be going to the park until May 2007.

Nope, But I have been hearing whispers that SoB will reopen in Late Spring 2007 even if they did say that they woudnt have it on there website most newscasts dont if it is then it must be buried with other top stories.

^ Who hasnt filed for bankruptcy? it's really common nowadays.. As for Tomb Raider the game is very popular always has been I know when Tomb Raider:Cradle of life hit theaters Paramount blamed edios for the movies poor performce because edios just released Tomb Raider:Angel of Darkness that week before.Yeah I know that a Tomb Raider 3 is in pre-production for what it's worth and is set to be released into theaters in Summer 2009. I like both movies they are well done. Paramount went cheap on a lot of rides like IJ:ST-looked GREAT on paper but is toooo short and the effects dont work I strongly dislike this coaster.

Thats the truth! I knew a 15-year old who couldnt work much because of it being in oct and the fact the most actors have to be 18+.

I havent made up my mind I may get the PKI ONLY because I never visit Cedar Point or anyother parks besides Dollywood,and those Famous parks in Orlando Flordia.

I go because I grew up at Kings Island but as for rides 1.) Scooby-Doo & The Haunted Castle 2.) The Beast 3.) Delirium 4.) Son of Beast 5.) Avatar 6.) RaCeR 7.) Flight of Fear 8.) Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera 9.) Rugrats Runaway Reptar 10.) Tomb Raider:The Ride 11.) Wild Thornberry's River Adventure 12.) Vortex I like seeing Scooby-Doo and Spongebob Squarepants,Patrick Star but I will admit I miss Fred Flintstone,Dino,Barney Rubble,George Jetson,Astro and so on....

I KNEW IT!!! When I looked at Mystery Mine I knew that it was the former Addams Family Reunion Coaster-it just put me in mind of it just how the art work looked and everything I'll be sure to snap my fingers next summer thanks for posting that shaggy.

I agree back in 2001 7th Portal was the !!! too bad it didnt catch on people werent familiar with those characters thats why it was pulled. And the fact that the story line was way too complex to follow, I had to ride the ride a few times and I think I got the general scope of the 7th portal outline. I agree with you about the un-familiarization, Stan Lee did a good job with those charecters, it just never caught on. While I'm glad to still see and HB ride in the park, I think the movie is just awful, the story line is basic yet there is WAY too much going on that it hurts your head trying to comprehend everything, its always out of focus due to the fact that you can tell its meant to be in 3d. It seems as of late all hte movies iWERKS (or iJERKS as some like to call them) has released for their theatres have been generally annoying. Robots of Mars at GL is awful! Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera was and still is an AWSOME ride I love having it so close to me at KI but it was WAAAY better at Universal Studios Florida the themeing was head on and the seating was better and it didnt jerk the outta you. Combat- If you think Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera is bad then you wouldnt like Jimmy Neutrons NickToon Blast that ride has waaay too much going on more so than Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. I perfer Spongebob Squarepants 3D and Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera!!!

I liked The Beast better in the mid-late 90's than I do now ... I hate the brakes they suck.. I liked it back when it was a much more enjoyable insane ride.
