  1. Would be extremely difficult to extend hours with all of the minors that work at Kings Island. CP doesn't have that issue as much. You'd almost have to plan ahead with schedules.
  2. I use a ton of the pizza coupons in there, aside from that, not much.
  3. Please have me and Ronny on to discuss our history of Kings Island if Six Flags bought them instead!
  4. I don't think you really get drips as much with paint sprayers. Also, you aren't going to see drips 100s of feet away.
  5. I really liked Guardians Cosmic Rewind at Disney. If they could do a controlled spin like that it could be really fun.
  6. Also most full time positions at Kings Island require you to work most Saturdays in the season as well, which is frustrating.
  7. Don't the clear the park on one of the park rental days before opening Haunt?
  8. The best year, IMO, of Haunt/Fearfest was the first and they had Phantom Theatre with actors inside.
  9. Some do, some don't. Lakota starts 50% on Wednesday.
  10. Why bother looking at the calendar, terms and conditions are subject to change at the parks discretion
  11. Eh, the old train held 18, now it'll be 20. They didn't launch a train every 18 seconds, they'd launch two, then have to load, move cars into position, etc. It wasn't that efficient. Depending on how the switch track works, they might get a better average launch time than before, thereby increasing capacity. Also, LSM should be a lot more reliable than the hydraulic system.
  12. Don't commit to anything you can't confirm from their stand point. They don't owe you daily updates. Just go to KD. If Fury is the only reason you are going, I wouldn't bank on it being open.
  13. Ryan woke up this morning and chose violence. I love it. Haven't spent more than 2 hours in the park since they tore down Vortex. Not really doing much to keep me interested either.
  14. Everyone blasting the communications department, but this was likely an Operations move. They have goals and targets for the year and they obviously are over their budget, this is a way for them to get back under budget by slashing hours on rides that have poor ridership during these times. I'd imagine you'll notice the park looking dirtier as well, because they probably slashed hours in Park Services as well.
  15. I don't think you'd be able to fit a Darkoaster type ride in the Boo Blasters building, DarKoaster's building is around 39000 square feet and the entire building that Boo Blasters is in is 29000 square feet. The Boo Blasters bulding also contains a stage (that isn't used frequently, but occasionally in the past), entertainment space for the characters, as well as the Park Services staging area. Not saying all of those things couldn't move, but I think that's a bit of a pipe dream.
  16. It'll be busy. Saturday will likely be the busiest. I'd expect Sunday to be relatively busy as well with a lot of people being off work Monday. Weather may help the crowds a bit.
  17. I was there yesterday, the water park was basically to capacity. Summerfair wasn't crazy busy.
  18. If the component is Infinity Flyer related, I'm guessing something was damaged during testing, maybe a minor bump? Hard to really say. Seems like an unforeseen circumstance. As for the difference between this past year and this year for having things ready, could it be manpower related? Did they scale back working hours in the off-season? Did they get a late start after Winterfest? I know in manufacturing, basically everyone is hiring, and everyone is running overtime to try and keep up with demand. Probably a combination of a few different things to be truthful.
  19. The lengthening of the operating season certainly doesn't help. The park used to start the seasonal refurbishments in November, not January. I would say the supply chain issues for consumers have been mostly fixed, but I work in manufacturing and getting material for custom parts/ low volume parts is still difficult.
  20. Charlotte is also a hub airport, so easier to get to for a lot of people.
  21. Honestly I think the brown supports fit the theme of Rivertown much better.
  22. Do you put in your age when you get a season pass?
