Cedar Point Rape
^ The story was recently updated (12:36pm). I do not recall seeing the "apartment" side of the story until just now. But even if it happened in the living facilities, it is still considered Cedar Point property.

Cedar Point Rape
14? My daughter is 14. Too young to be associated with a story like this. Is it safe to assume that she was working as a Halloweekends Screamster? I can't imagine a 14 year old working for: rides, foods, cleaning etc. UPDATE: Great Pumpkin Fest allows 14/15 year olds. https://www.cedarpoint.com/item/Jobs/Monster-Jobs?mobile=0 The other big question- where? Was it in one of the dorms? In the park? Ugh.....

KI Survey
Take a box. Climb a tall tree with lots of branches. Get in box. Jump. When you think it is over, climb tree again & repeat.

KI Survey
Many members here are from a much younger generation. Some even were not tall enough to enjoy SoB when it was operating. Is that why they want it back? They never had the "pleasure" of experience others had....... Personally, I voted for KCKC. I loved that ride. WWL at CP too. Both were water rides that were refreshing, not soaking....... I also voted for no rides to be removed. I hate to see a ride's demise.

KI Survey
I wonder how many members participated?

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
http://www.goerie.com/judge-to-hear-arguments-on-conneaut-lake-park-reorganization# Is he actually arguing that the current trustees DO have the necessary business acumen?? The same group that chose not to have fire insurance but want to reap the benefits because one of their tenants paid for it on their own?? **smh**

California: To expand tanks, SeaWorld must stop breeding killer whales
These PETA movements occasionally make me cringe. This is one of them. SeaWorld's intentions are actually great for the animals, but are being portrayed as exploiting the animals. Businesses like Sea World have done more for sea life, orcas specifically, than probably every other sea life business combined. Imagine what we would not know if it wasn't for Sea World. While they are in the business to make money, the education provided to the World is second to none. A prime example: http://seaworldparks.com/en/seaworld-sandiego/animals/animal-rescue/

I never thought of the "forces" on ID to be enough to cause any pain.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
http://www.meadvilletribune.com/news/local_news/hotel-conneaut-operator-files-for-bankruptcy/article_f465d153-0855-500d-a619-9c39f781ad90.html The fight for the Beach Club insurance money continues...... My guess is Park Restoration knows the park itself is going under & wants the (well deserved) insurance $$ from the Beach Club.

Top Gun Destruction?
Though ID more than Bat; each breaches the gap from small rides to large thrilling coasters. Not every coaster needs to have record breaking thrills to be successful.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
Take it for what it is worth: My youngest is selling a coupon book for businesses in Erie & surrounding area. We just received notice that CLP had their coupon removed from the book.

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
It would take a HUGE miracle to save the park. To be honest, it is a miracle it has lasted THIS long. The park has little draw, little $$ money coming in and looks like a ghost town. I was there earlier this year, and 2 groups of people literally questioned the safety of the rides due to the appearance of the park, and left telling their kids they were going to Waldameer.

RMC Beast
You have now alluded 4 different changes and questioned the design from 1978: - change to the track for stress reasons - removal for land expansion, - removal for popularity - removal for bigger and better coasters. You sure you don't want to see the demise of Beast? RMC Beast
And this is why many of us are mentioning the history behind how Beast was made back in 78-79. Because you young greenhorns don't understand the history behind it. KI has an incredible amount of room to expand without getting near Beast, so land is not an issue. Change for the sake of change is not always good, but we all know nothing lasts forever; because you did change your stance from Beast getting a makeover to being removed. Both are huge undertakings & are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

RMC Beast
What makes you believe Beast was "designed"?The original plans changed on numerous occasions. Large trees even changed the "design".

RMC Beast
No reason to change a legend.

Cedar Point: Man killed at Raptor trespassing in restricted area
^ The family is suffering enough. No reason to charge them. But if you ask the "expert", they probably did wear well defined signage.

Yeah, this guy is an expert. An expert at being an asshat.

2016 announcement?
Lord, no.Just- no.

2016 announcement?
I have been bummed with the removal of KCKC & the Antique Cars. But variations of each can be found at other parks. Racer though? This one would sting for quite a long time. Business is business, and often times it sucks and tastes like garbage. I hope for a redo to how Racer was back in the mid/ late 70's. Hope.

Cedar Point: Man killed at Raptor trespassing in restricted area
While I do agree enthusiasts often look through rose colored glasses, speeding and Skyline are poor examples comparing to the deceased's tragic decision. Both of your examples in excess can harm you. But if done in moderation, will not. 5mph over the limit is speeding, but hitting anything at the 55mph can kill you just like if you were driving at 60mph. Same goes for Skyline. While not the healthiest of foods, eaten once a month will not kill you, but eating it everyday could. He made a bad & hasty decision. There is a fence, with postings, surrounding the area for a reason. He did not heed the warnings and unfortunately paid the ultimate price. There is not much to "judge" concerning the tragedy. Now enthusiasts being compassionate with the tragedy? Yeah, some really don't get it.

Cedar Point: Man killed at Raptor trespassing in restricted area
Well done remembering the deceased & accurately reporting the "accident".
